CONSTRUCTION OF EARTH PITS AT BARHI LPG PLANT

EARTHING WITH PIT, — Excavation, supply, and installation of pipe-type earth pit complete with 50 mm dia. G.I. Heavy 'C' Class pipe electrode (3 m long), backfilling with alternate layers of coke and salt, brick/RCC masonry chamber, 600x600x6 mm hinged chequered cover plate, wire mesh, watering pipe with funnel, test link, bracket, and identification board — complete as per specification and drawing. Laying of G.I. strip in excavated trench at approx. 600 mm depth, including excavation, backfilling, and ramming. Welded jointing of G.I. strip ( straight/T-joint) including zinc-rich/bitumen paint touch-up. Fabrication and fixing of G.I. earth bus bar (50x10 mm flat) as per Fig. 5, including drilling and mounting hardware. Connection of equipment/structure to nearest earth pit/grid, including crimped lugs, nuts, bolts, and washers. Measurement and recording of individual earth pit resistance and overall grid resistance (Fall-of-Potential method), including submission of test certificates. Supply and fixing of earth pit identification board (610x305 mm) with pit number, resistance values, and testing dates.
