Chipping of unsound/weak concrete material from slabs, beams, columns etc. with manual Chisel and/ or by standard power driven percussion type or of approved make including tapering of all edges, making square shoulders of cavities including cleaning the exposed concrete surface and reinforcement with wire brushes etc.and disposal of debris for all lead and lifts all complete as per direction of Engineer-In-Charge. (A) 50mm average thickness
(B) 75mm average thickness
Providing and laying Liquid applied membrane (Water Proofing) shall be made of polyurethane, acrylic, polyurea, polyester or other polymer derivatives over the bridge deck with cleaning of surface, application and complete work as per standard specifications by the manufacturer/supplier and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.
Providing and fixing drainge spouts complete as per IRC:SP-42 with 150 mm dia PVC pipe and downtake length 1m as per engineer-in-charge.
Dismantling the existing strip seal expansion joint i/c structrual steel edge beam anchor plate etc. of the existing damaged expansion joint by cutting with gas cutter and breaking of concrete by machanical means i/c disposal of rubbish &malba etc. complete as per the direction of the Engineer-in-Charge
Providing and laying of a strip seal expansion joint catering to maximum horizontal movement upto 40 mm, complete as per approved drawings and standard specifications to be installed by the manufacturer/supplier or their authorised representative ensuring compliance to the manufacturer's instructions for installation
Providing and fixing in position and level Elastomeric bearings confirming to IRC:83 (Part-II) complete with all respect and as per drawing/as directed by Engineer-in-charge. NOTE:-Final size of bearing will be as per draing, in the BOQ size of bearing taken for estimate purpose it may vary accordingly
Making arrangement for lifting all the girders of span as required and replace the bearings. L/S amount considered for estimate purpose for all 4 Nos girders in one Span.
Cleaning of exposed concrete surface of sticking material including loose and foreign material by sand blasting with coarse sand followed by and including cleaning with oil free air blast as per direction of Engineer in charge
Cleaning of reinforcement from rust from the reinforcing bars to give it a total rust free steel surface by using alkaline chemical rust remover of approved make with paint brush and removing loose particles after 24 hours of its application with wire brush and thoroughly washing with water and allowing it to dry, all complete as per direction of Engineer-In-Charge.
Providing and applying of anticorrosive treatment to exposed structural reinforcement by two coats of IPNET RB or equivalent with time interval of minimum 8 -10 hours between each coat after the application of two coats of alkaline rust converting primer. The application shall be done by brush or spray after cleaning existing reinforcement with wire / rotary wire brush to make the surfaces free from loose material, dirt, traces of corrosion etc. and throughly washing with water and allowing it to dry inclusive of all labour, materials, equipment etc. complete in all respect as per specifications and instructions of Engineer in Charge.
Providing, mixing and applying bonding coat of approved adhesive on chipped portion of RCC as per specifications and direction of Engineer-In-charge complete in all respect.
Providing, mixing and applying SBR polymer (of approved make) modified Cement mortar in proportion of 1:4 (1 cement: 4 graded coarse sand with polymer minimum 2% by wt. of cement used) as per specifications and directions of Engineer-in-charge. Note: Measurement and payment: The pre-measurement of thickness shall be done just after the surface preparation is completed and Payment under this item shall be made only after proper wet curing has been done and surface has been satisfactorily evaluated by sounding / tapping with a blunt metal instrument and/or the 75mm size cube crushing strength at the end of 28 days to be not less than 30 N/Sqmm2
Providing, mixing and applying SBR polymer (of approved make @ minimum 2% by wt. of cement used) modified plain/reinforced cement concrete for structural members having minimum characteristic compressive strength [with ordinary portland cement, coarse sand and graded stone aggregate of 10mm maximum size in proportion as per design criteria] with specified average thickness.
Providing and inserting 12mm diagalvanised steel injection nipple in honey comb area and along crack line including drilling of holes of required diametre (20mm to 30mm) up to depth from 30mm to 80mm at required spacing and making the hole & crack dust free by blowing compressed air, sealing the distance between injection nipple with adhesive chemical of approved make and allow it to cure complete as per direction of Engineer-In-Charge.
Providing and inserting galvanised steel injection nipple in Concrete Surface on honey comb area including drilling of holes of required diametre (20mm to 30mm) up to depth from 30mm to 150mm at required spacing and making the hole & crack dust free by blowing compressed air, sealing the distance between injection nipple with adhesive chemical of approved make and allow it to cure complete as per direction of Engineer-In-Charge.
Providing and injecting approved grout in proportion recommended by the manufacturer into cracks/honey-comb area of concrete/masonry by suitable gun/pump at required pressure including cutting of nipples after curing etc. complete as per directions of Engineer-inCharge. (The payment shall be made on the basis of actual weight of approved grout injected.)
Strengthening structural elements with non-metallic compositefiber wrapping system comprise of uni-directional glass fiber sheet and compatible saturant. Grinding/ moulding concrete substrate, cleaning it with wire brush removing oil, laitance if present, rounding sharp edges to min 25 mm radius etc. complete. Applying compatible primer on prepared substrate, Filling the holes and uneven surface with thixotropic putty etc. complete. Providing and fixing of laminate anchor including drilling hole in the base concrete, fixing the anchor using epoxy and fix the plate with fatneras required as per drawing/Engineer-In-Charge complete work.
Providing and placing high strength, non shrink pre-packed free flow micro concrete having compressive strength of 60 MPa at 28 days (compresssive strength of one day should not be less than 25 MPa) as per specifications. The micro concree mix shall be prepared by mixing non shrink pre-packed free flow micro concrete powder with well graded cleaned crushed, aggregate 10mm & down (aggregate should be less than 10mm but retained on 3.36mm) in proportion of 2:1 (Two part prepack micro concrete powder : one part stone aggregate) by weight for repairing excessively damaged area of structural elements excluding reinforcement but including scaffolding, curing inclusive of all labour, materials, equipment etc. complete as per specifications and instructions of Engineer-in-Charge.
