In situ Flash butt welding of all type of free rails/ 2 Per rail panels/ 3 rail panels (60 kg / 52 kg, 72/90 UTS, Joint R-260,New/in service) at site using contractor's own Mobile Flash Butt welding plant on cess or on ground or on specially made platforms by the side of the existing track/ in yards on non-running lines etc. with/without traffic block conforming to RDSO's manual for Flash butt welding of rails revised January-2012 with latest correction slip issued upto date of closing of the Tender and testing of welded joints as per Indian Railways' manual for ultrasonic testing of welds. The Quoted rate shall be inclusive of all necessary labour, materials, consumables, accessories, tools & plants, other equipments, machinery, incidental charges, royalties, GST, toll tax, or any other taxes and duties as applicable etc. and shall also include all charges for pre-straightening, matching all ends, aligning/positioning and post welding operation including striping, grinding, finishing of joint, post straightening of joints etc. done at the temporary welding depot. The quoted rate shall also be inclusive of all charges of carryings out mandatory tests required for quality control of welds as said in the above said manual and in the special conditions of the contract all complete as per the directives of Engineer-in-Charge. The rate also includes all necessary lifting, Pulling, handling of rails, adjust of welding gap as required, loosening / tightening/removal/re-fixing of fittings and fastenings, mobilisation of flash butt welding plant, all lead, lift etc. complete as per directives of the Engineer-in-Charge Note: The cut rails, scrap materials recoverable fittings or similar particles received due to grinding etc., arising out of the Flash Butt welding process are to be deposited at the Railway's depot as directed by the Engineer-in- Charge and nothing extra will be paid towards transportation charges in this regard.
