Schedule "A" Part - IX [STP, DG Set & Miscellaneous Items]
SEWAGE TREATMENT PLANT 75 KLD CAPACITY Design (Hydraulically, structurally & aesthetically), Supply, construction, installation, testing & commissioning of Sewage Treatment Plant based on Moving Bed Bio-reactor (MBBR) Technology having Capacity 75 KLD at CGRA & ICGS Mandapam. The scope of the work includes all necessary work as per relevant BIS . Treated sewage can be used for arboriculture. The major items are listed below and nothing extra will be payble for any technically required connected items :- MAKES : Ion exchange India Ltd , Thermax Limited, M/S Optimus Enviropro Pvt Ltd and ALL OEM approved by E-in-C Branch. Note: The quoted rate is deemed to included with the following items to be provided for each plant.
SCREEN CHAMBER & FINE BAR SCREENS: The bar screen chamber shall be of RCC construction with design MIX grade M-30. Fine bar screens of MSEP construction to be installed in bar screen chamber at an angle of 60' to prevent floating objects passing through it and subsequently removing manually and dumped for further disposal.
Oil & Grease removal: One number of chamber in RCC construction with design mix concrete of grade M-30, to be constructed.
Equalisation tank : One number of RCC construction with design mix concrete of grade M-30, of min capacity 40m3, to cater for the peak discharge including provision of diffused air to ensure that septic conditions do not occur in tank at all.
AIR GRID: One lot of air grid of material SS for providing aeration in the Equalization tank, MBBR Tanks etc.
SEWAGE PUMPS: Two nos nonclog Raw sewage pumps (01 Active + 01 Stanby) of minimum capacity 4m3/hour at a head of 10 M. capcaity complete with motor and all necessary accessories and fittings to be installed for transferring sewage from equlization tank to the process tanks. Level sensor should be provided in the tank and interlinked with pumps for automatic ON-OFF operation as per water level in the tank. One pressure gauge or each pump has to be provided to measure pressure at the outlet.
AIR BLOWER: Two nos, Twin lobe Air Blower with acoustic enclosure complete with motor and all necessary accessories & fittings for providing air in Equilization tank and MBBR tanks. One No. Air Rotameter is to be provided in each line to the MBBR tank and Equilization tank etc. for measurement of quantity of air.
ANOXIC CHAMBER: One Anoxic Chamber of material MS FRP along with Mixer.
ANOXIC PUMPS: Two nos, Anoxic pumps (01 Active + 01 Stanby) complete with motor and all necessary accessories and fittings to be installed for transferring sewage from Anoxic tank to the MBBR tanks with timer based operation for set time
MBBR TANKS: Two nos. MBBR Tanks of suitable sizes in MS FRP construction with all internals including Media, SS air grid & SS rise pipe, Media retaining sieves etc.
LAMELLAR SETTLER TANK: One Set of Lamellar settler tank of material MS FRP . complete with all internals comprising of media supporting structure & collection trough
SLUDGE COLLECTION TANK: Sludge collection tank of adequate capacity shall be provided.
SLUDGE DRYING BED: 2 Nos Sludge drying bed of 2MX2MX1.5M, brick masnory type with required gravel and sand shall be provided.
SLUDGE PUMPS: Two Nos. non clog type Sewage centrifugal monobloc pumps ( 01 Active + 01 S/B ) self-priming complete with motor and timer based operation for set time after every set interval of time, with all necessories accessories and fittings for transferring sludge from bottom of the Tube settler to the sludge drying beds and recirculation to Anoxic chamber. One pressure gauge for each pump has to be provided to measure pressure at the outlet.
CHLORINE CONTACT TANK: One No. Chlorine Contact cum filter feed tank of material MS FRP of min capaity 25 m3 .
CHLORINE DOSING SYSTEM: One set of Chlorine dosing system complete comprising of dosing tank of min 100 litre capacity. Two nos, Dosing pumps (01 Active + 01 S/B ) complete with necessary connection for dosing of solution in chlorine contact tank.
FEED PUMPS: Two Nos. filter feed centrifugal monobloc pumps of min 1.5 HHP and flow rate 2.5 cum/hr, complete with motor and all necessary accessories and fittings for feeding tertiary treatment unit, Level sensor should be provided in the chlorine contact cum filter feed tank and interlinked with pumps for automatic ON-OFF operation as per level in the sump. One pressure gauge for each pump has to be provided to measure pressure at the outlet.
MULTI GRADE FILTER: One No. Multi Grade Filter of material MSEP complete with media, frontal piping, valve and pressure gauges to measure pressure across the filter of minimum 600 mm dia and 1800 mm height.
ACTIVATED CARBON FILTER: One No. Activated Carbon Filter of material MSEP complete with media, frontal piping, Valve and pressure gauge to measure pressure across the filter min 600mm dia and height 1800 mm.
TREATED WATER TANK: One No. Treated Water Tank of material MSFRP construction of min capaity 25 m3 , to collect treated water after tertiary treatment for disposal of water for gardening/arboriculture.
CLEAR WATER PUMPS: Two nos, Treated water monoblock pumps (01 Active + 01 Standby) for discharge of min 05 lps, minimum head 10 mtr. complete with motor, foot valve, non return valve, etc and all other necessary valves, accessories and fittings to be installed for pumping treated water for gardening/ arboriculture.
LT PANEL : Supply install test and commission LT Panel , cubical type floor mounted, factory made (CPRI approved) dust and vermin proof fabricated out of CRCA sheet not less than 12 guage CRCA sheet duly epoxy powder coated for operation and control of all electromechanical units of sewage treatment plant consisting of the following: (i) MCCB of suitable capacioty for incoming. (ii) MCB of suitable capacioty for outgoing of pumps. (iii) Soft starters of suitable capacity for each of the pump sets. (iv) MCB SP 6 Amps for conterling STP room lighting. (v) MPCB 1 No and MCB SP 01 of suitable capacity as spare. (vi) Copper bus bar and copper wiring of suitable capacity for all connections. (vii) MCB SPN 6 Amps 01 No for area lighting.
CABLES: Power & control cables to interconnect various drives and instrumentations with STP Panel will be copper cables of suitable size. All underground cables will be armoured copper cables. All cables terminations shall be done using proper lugs.
PIPES AND VALVES: One lot of Suitable size Piping & Valves of suitable material to interconnect various units as per site layout.
EARTHING: Earthing complete with galvanised steel earth plate electrode 60x60cm x 6mm thick, buried directly in ground (earth pit not less than 2.25 metres deep below ground level) with top edge of the plate not less than 1.50m below normal ground level, connected to machinery/ equipment using 32x6 mm galvanized strip by means of bolts, nuts, check nuts and washers of galvanised iron or steel, including earth chamber with PCC (1:2:4) type B1, precast RCC cover slab with suitable handle made of 12mm round bar, including necessary excavation & earth work in any type of soil, 20mm dia med gde galvanized steel tube for watering with one end fixed to earth plate, other end connected to cast iron funnel with wire mesh, 40mm dia bore, light grade galvanized steel tubing up to 7.5 mtr length for GI earth strip protection, common salt, charcoal etc. complete all as shown in EP No.3 of SSR Part 1, connected to earthing test point/ DB/ Panel all as specified or indicated and testing on completion.-suitable number of earthings to be provided as per IS standards and other norms. ( 2 Nos for each LT Panel & 1 No for each blower, etc.) Not: A separate earth continuity strip GI 32X6 mm shall be provided from all electromechanically equipment i.e. pump etc. to LT Panel)
TESTING: Testing and commissioning of STP will include testing of all electro-mechanical equipments, treated effluent parameters for treatment of the sewage, etc starting from collection chamber to outlet of tertiary treatment plant. (i) The plant shall be run continuously for minimum 72 hours. Test will be carried out in the presence of GE and Engineer-in-Charge, Contractor/rep of contractor and Rep of OEM. Contractor shall deploy adequate technical staff to operate the plant continuously for 72 hours and he shall be liable to carry out all the maintenance / rectification required during this period . (ii) The contractor shall afford all facilities and make all necessary arrangements for these tests at his own cost. All arrangements including various instruments required to facilitate testing shall be arranged by contractor. (iii) If the test results are not acceptable, all repairs and replacement and extra work of removal and relaying or refixing shall be carried out by the contractor at his own expense and the STP plant will be retested, until test results indicate compliance with the prescribed requirement. (iv) The installation shall be taken over by MES after the plant has been successfully commissioned and tested . (v) Quarterly test report of the treated efflent will be submiited by the contractor during the period of DLP.
TEST EQUIPMENT: The contractor will submit the following test eqipments deemed to be included in the contract. a) pH Meter Digital- 01 Nos b) TDS Meter Digital Tester-01 Nos c) Chlorine Testing Kits-03 Nos
NOTES:- (i) Defect liability period of Two year. (Repair / replacement/spares of various plant components, including labour for such work covered under performance Guarantee) (ii) The items given above are indicative only. Any items required over and above items, for complete and efficient functioning of the plant is deemed to be included in the rates quoted by the tenderer. (iii) The treated water should be get tested by the contractor from IIT/Regional Govt Lab or lab approved by EinC and test report should confirm that parameters of treated water are within the limit, as mentioned in the PS, should be submitted before seeking completion of the work. (iv) Rates of Minor civil work for foundation of machinery etc deemed to be included in the work. (v) All works shall be carried out by skilled technicians of relevant trade under supervision of rep of OEM. (vi) The routing of cables/pipes/drains etc , shall have proper protection. The workmanship, finish, general appearance & layout of the plant shall be technically correct and aesthetic; all as directed by Engineer in Charge. (vii) Tenderer’s offered rate shall be deemed to include training and operation for 1 month after completion of the plant.
DG SETS: Supply,install ,test and commission silent Diesel Engine Driven Outdoor Type Generating set of 25 KVA capacity ,415 Volts, 3 phase, 4 wire engine ,Prime Mover ,1500 RPM ,radiator cooled as per IS-10001/10002 and alternator ,25 KVA/20 KW as per IS-13364 complete with Relay Panel and change over switch gears for automatic starting on Main Failure including necessary cableing for connecting with AMF panel having meter and sound proof canopy as per CPCB norms with the following items :- (i) Diesel Engine – The engine shall be vertical multi cylinder 1500 RPM radiator cooled with water pump assembly battery charging alternator of suitable instrument panel, electronic governor starting battery heavy duty with leads (as recommended by the manufacturer) suitable size and length of exhaust pipe with necessary cladding materials, exhaust coupling inside acoustic enclosure/canopy, silencer and exhaust pipe above canopy all as specified by OEM and all other standard fitting fixtures all as per OEM specification complete as per BS 5514 & suitable BHP for generator. (ii) AC Alternator :- The AC alternator (Generator) shall be designed for an out put of 25 KVA /20 KW, 50Hz Brushless at full load for continuous rating & 10 % for over load for one hour suitable for any power factor of load upto unity conforming to BS-5000 part 99/IS 4722 including self excited and self regulating screen protected, standard panel with all accessories cable terminal box suitable size of glands earth terminal etc complete all as per OEM specifications.
(iii) Fuel (Services) Tank :- The fuel tank shall be built in type and shall include fuel level indicator fuel piping internally with the necessary piping as recommended by manufacturer from tank to engine and for over flow etc, and supplying semi rotary pump hand driven manually operated suitable to pump diesel up to 10 feet height ft complete. (iv) AMF Panel and Control Panel :- AMF panel with relay for Auto Change over switch, readings for Current in Ampre, reading for Voltage in Volts, KWH reading, Hours run reading, Fuel level readings, RPM Meter, Engine oil pressure indicator, Battery voltage reading, Coolant temperature reading etc . (v) Safety Controls:- Panel should have safety cut off for Engine low lube oil pressure, High coolant temperature, Engine over speed, Unbalance load in each phase etc. (vi) Unit rate quoted shall deemed include the Control cable of suitable rating/capacity from DG set to AMF panel, DIESEL OIL, LUB OIL, COOLANT FOR RADIATOR ctc for smooth functioning of DG SET commissioning and testing at site complete testing including cost of filling of fuel in phase test testing, topping of LUB OIL, COOLANT FOR RADIATOR etc required for commissioning and testing of DG set. Inverter 100 W capacity of reputed make and Two lights as recommended by the manufacturer with all accessories with necessary connections and wiring from DG set Battery inside the acoustic enclosure. (vii) Provn of CPCB approved Acoustic enclosure composites type for Generator set. (viii) DG Set should be as per CPCB-II Norms emission limit (g/KWH) standard as followsL:- (a) Oxides of Nitrogen +Hydrocarbon (NOx+HC<4.7 (b) Carbon Monoxide (CO<3.5) (c) Particulate Matter (PM<0.3) (d) Smoke limit (Light absorption) Coefficient m-1<0.7. (ix) insulating mat of size 1 mtr x 2mtr 16mm thick. (x) Operation and Maintenance manual and test certificate for Engine, alternator and acoustic proof enclosure.
Earthing complete with Galvanised steel earth plate electrode 600 X 600 X 6 mm thick burried directly in ground [earth pit not less than 2.25 m deep below ground level] with top edge of plate not less than 1.50 m below normal ground level connected to 32 X 6mm GI Strip [Earth Lead] and GI pipe 50 mm, Medium Grade for earthing lead protection to the extent of maximum 7.5m, Earth Plate Electrode surrounded by 150mm thick packed layers of Charcoal and Common Salt filled in alternate layers, connected to the plate by means of GI Bolts & Nuts complete all as per Electrical plate No. 3 of SSR Part – I, connected to panel / DB/DG set including testing on completion, PCC pit 1:2:4 type B1 concrete and RCC cover 1:2:4 type B-1 concrete, 50 mm thick with 6 Nos, 8 mm dia TMT bars in both ways, MS frame made with 40 X 40 X 6 mm Angle Iron, MS Funnel with 20 mm bore, medium grade GI Watering pipe, wire mesh, earth work excavation, return filling, removal of surplus soil etc. complete all as specified and directed. ( For DG Sets ).
M&L for cutting of PCC/Hard standing/WBM road not exceeding 30 cm in width not exceeding 60 cm in depth for passing of HT cable and making good of disturbed surface to match with the existing surfaces by using old and new material i.e bitumen/PCC (1:3:6) type C-1 complete all as specified and directed.
Supply and fixing bracket, made of 1.2m long, GI pipe 40 mm bore , medium grade, duly bend to shape, 20x4mm flat iron fixing clamps, bolts, nuts of suitable size etc complete all as specified and as directed.
Supply and fixing Cable junction box of size (200 x160 x 98) mm, IP 66, halogen free and weather proof for outdoor installation of street lights, complete with terminals suitable for cable size 25 sqmm 4 core, complete including supply & fixing of M.S flat iron clamps of suitable size all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. M & L for angle stop valve of size 15mm cast copper alloy chroium plated of high pressure screwed for iron pipe and fixed, complete all as specified and directed .
S&F 20 Watt LED building Security light fitting 230 V AC out door type die cast aluminium housing with heat resistant glass IP 65/66 environmental friendely, energy efficient not less than BEE 4- star rated with electronic driver including GI bracket made out of suitable dia GI pipe light grade 1.2 mtr. length bend to shape fixed to wall and connecting to ceiling rosewith three core flexible rose 1.5 Sqmm PVC copper conductor, complete all as specified and directed.

M & L for Cutting the existing pipe line of 50 mm to 100 mm including insertion of T section for PPR Pipeline tapping, complete all as specified and directed by the Engineer in charge.
M & L for Construction of Valve pit of size 0.6 X 0.6 X 0.6 mtr internal dimentions with 23 CM brickwork in CM 1:6, 10 CM thick PCC (1 :3 :6 ) type C-2 in foundation, including plastering of all the exposed surface in CM 1:4 15 mm thick and upto 30 CM plastering of all unexposed surface of wall and 3 mm thick MS steel cover angle iron frame work 50X50X6 mm complete with locking arrangement including two coats of synthetic enamel paint over one coat of red oxide primer on steel surfaces including excavation and earth work and all as directed.

Manning of Sewage Treatment Plant of 75 KLD at CGRA & ICGS Mandapam during DLP period including operating of chlorine dosing system, operation of valves in two shifts of 8 hours each including Sundays and Holidays by providing one operator per shift. The shift timings are:- Ist shift (0600 Hrs to 14 00 Hrs) II nd shift (1400 Hrs to 22 00 Hrs)

Maintenance and Operation of Sewage Treatment Plant of 75 KLD at CGRA & ICGS Mandapam after DLP period of 2 years in two shifts of 8 hours each including Sundays and Holidays by providing one operator per shift, including operating chlorine dosing system operation of valves, carrying out routine maintenance of equipments such as daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, halfyearly and yearly as per OEMs schedule recommendations and replacing of defective parts/equipment. The shift timings are:- Ist shift (0600 Hrs to 14 00 Hrs) II nd shift (1400 Hrs to 22 00 Hrs) .
(a) 3rd year of maintenance & operation
(b) 4th year of maintenance & operation
(c) 5th year of maintanance & operation
Note for Item No 22 & 23, The scope of work includes : (i) Clearing of vegitation/ bushes in and around the installations. (ii) Maintening of log sheets for operation and maintenance done. (iii) Periodically clearing of sludge drying bed.
Supply only of Sodium Hypochloride Solution.(during 5 years O&M period)
M&L for quarterly testing of treated water after DLP period, from NABL approved labs for the parameters of PH, COD, BOD,TSS & O&G(during 3 years O&M period)
