Taking down from site or collecting from E/M yard, unserviceable (burnt) ceiling fan, 1200 mm sweep, any make, with blades, transporting to local workshop, opening, cutting and taking out complete copper winding, cleaning with kerosene oil /diesel/ terpentine oil and dried out, rewinding with new super enamelled copper wire of suitable size and gauge and number of turns as recommended by the respective manufactures, varnishing and heating the winding including providing paper insulation (cuff/strip type) replacing unserviceable providing paper insulation (cuff / strip type) replacing unserviceable / missing spare (bush, bearing, capacity shackle insulator, canopy, nuts, bolts, earthing, screw, upper, socket, CI block , quarter /split pin (top & bottom) , lock nut etc) fixing the stator in rotor properly aligned and resembling ensuring right DOR, speedy and noiseless running and depositing in E/M yard and hanging at site in position complete all as directed. Note : Bush, bearing, capacitor, and canopy, shackle insulator with nuts, bolts and sockets shall be measured and paid separately as supply only and the cost of fixing shall deemed to be included in the unit rate quoted.

Note :- (i) Spares shall be measured and paid for separately as supply only and the cost of fixing shall deemed to be included in the unit rate quoted. (ii) Repairs to winding is not included in this item.

Repair / maintenance of internal wiring for fans, light fittings of any type like tube lights / wall brackets / light fittings / ceiling lights / mirror lights / table lamp lights in its position, testing all the components / parts, wiring etc identifying and replacing the defective components like choke (ballast), tube rod, side holders, lamp holders with capacitors etc all as specified and directed by Engg-in-Charge. Notes : (i) The rate against the above mentioned item includes cost of taking down & fixing of spares/fixtures/fittings required for repair work. (ii) Cost of spares like choke (ballast), capacitor, lamp holder, LED Bulb, connector, connection wire etc. replaced against above mentioned items shall be measured & paid for separately under respective items of Sch 'A' as "Supply only". However cost of minor items such as screws, rawl plugs, insulation tape etc is included in this item. (iii) The contractor's representative shall report to concerned JE E/M at 09:00 hrs daily to collect the list of defects and shall submit the completion report on the same day before 17:00 hrs to the JE E/M. (iv) The contractor has to rectify the defects and make the light fitting functional within 24 hours from the time the list of defective lights is handed over to him / his representitive by the concerned JE E/M. In case the light fitting is not made functional for whatsoever reason within the specified time limit a recovery of Rs. 100/- per defective light fitting per day will be recovered from the amount due to him through RAR / Final Bill. The repair / maint in single accommodation where required shall be carried out as per the timings convenient to cadets or as directed by Engineer-in-Charge and preferably during afternoon and study period. The contractor shall engage two saparate teams of technicians / repairer for entire area. (v) The contractor shall maintain proper record of repair/maint in a binded register duly bringing out the details of spares replaced on each and every light fitting and get it authenticated from concerned JE E/M on daily basis. The contractor shall put up the maint record register to Engineer-in-Charge for inspection every Monday or as and when asked for. (vi) The contractor shall maintain sufficient stock of spares material required for repair / maint of light fittings with the concerned JE E/M against the supply only items here-in-below. (vii) The Electricians should be ITI (Electrical) qualified with one year experience or matric passed with minimum three years experience as electrician and for the contractor should submit the copy of certificates of electricians while signing the site orders.
