M&L Checking of Earth Resistance of Chemical/Normal Earthing and maintaining the Register as per Appendix 'A' and as specified and directed here-in-after :- NOTE :- (a) Contractor will Check Earth Resistance Every Day (minimum 25 Nos. per Day) and joint measurement of earth resistance of chemical /plate electrode earthing with user, will be sole responsibility of contractor. Earthing register will maintain and signed by user also and same will be put up to the Engineer-in-Charge through JE E/M on the Very Next Day, failing which a Sum of Rs. 20.00 per Day will be recovered from the Contractor. (b) New Earth Resistance Tester will be provided by the Contractor. (Tester should be caliberated from NABL accredited labs). (c) Contractor will be responsible for pouring of water in the Earth Pits Weekly at his own arrangement with Water Tanker, etc. However, Water will be provided by the Department. (d) Checking of Earth Pits existing and improve it by watering, adding of chemical etc. (Chemical will be measured and paid separately) (e) Contractor will be responsible for marking of Earth Check date and due date on existing Plate with paint as specified by Engineer-in-Charge. (f) Contractor will be responsible for cleaning of bushes, grass, sand etc inside and all around upto 1.50 Metre Area of existing Earth Pit with tightening of Strip. (g) Repair Party will be reported every Morning and Evening to JE E/M. (h) Cost of register for noting earthing results, location wise shall deemed to be included with the unit rate. Proforma of detail column will be printed as per the direction of Engineer-in-charge. (j) Recovery for Penalty will be made as follows :- (i) Earthing left without Checked lesser by 25 No. - Rs. 50.00/Earthing (ii) Earthing left without Checked in a Month - Rs. 100.00/Earthing (iii) Earthing left without Cleaning in a Month - Rs. 50.00/Earthing (iv) Earthing left without Watering in a Month - Rs. 30.00/Earthing (k) Contractor will be responsible for maintaining permissible earth resistance in Ohms in Earthing Register, failing which he will be liable to pay penalty as per IAFW-2249 and work shall be re-done by contractor in their quoted rate.

M&L for boring in loose/soft soil upto 200mm dia, by means of hand/ machine drill, upto 3 Meter depth from ground level and pouring of sufficient water for at least 3 times per day (within working hours) for two days and making hole under reference ready for pouring of chemical complete and as directed.

S&F Maintenance Free UL approved Copper Bonded Earth Rod of 10 Feet length 17.2mm dia made of High Tensile Low Carbon Steel Rod, molecularly bonded with 99.9% Electrolyte Grade Copper on outer surface (minimum copper bonding thickness-250 microns) jointed with Copper Bus Bar of size 50x6x200mm with Exothermic joint complete all as specified and as directed. (NOTE: Earth enhancing compound shall be measured and paid seperately)

All as per Item No 03 above but including disconnecting and taking out existing unserviceable Copper Bonded Earth Rod of any size including necessay earthwork complete all as specified and as directed. (NOTE: Cost of making pit, returning filling, removal of surplus earth etc shall be deemed to be included in the quoted rate. Earth enhancing compound shall be measured and paid seperately)

Supply and pouring of RoHS tested Earth Enhancement Compound after mixing with water tested by NABL accredited lab in compliance to IEC 62561-7 with a resistivity < 0.12 ohm-m. It shall be free from bentonite and other hazardous substances. It shall be a permanent, non-corrosive material and will not leach any chemicals into the ground. It shall retain moisture even in high soil resistivity areas. complete all as specified and as directed. Note: Measurement of Chemical will be done in Powder form. Contractor shall procure the item in sealed packets directly from manufacturer. This item shall be executed for Item No 3 & 4 here-in-before)

All as per Item No 05 above but including digging and taking out existing unserviceable Earth Enhancement Compound and disposing outside MOD land complete all as specified and as directed. Note: Measurement of Chemical will be done in Powder form. Contractor shall procure the item in sealed packets directly from manufacturer. This item shall be executed for existing earthing where only earth enhancing compound is required to be replaced)

S&F Earth Pit 125mm dia with FRP Earth Pit Cover of top size 200x200mm bottom size 300x300mm with height of 150mm with lockable Lid, Earth Pit cover shall be made of Poly plastic tested at 7.5 ton load for closing of earth pits complete all as specified and as directed.

All as per Item No 07 above but inclding taking out existing damaged earth pit cover complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for earthing complete with galvanized steel earth plate electrode 600 mm x 600 mm x 6.0 mm thick buried directly in ground vertically to a depth not less than 2.25 meter deep below ground level with top edge earth plate at a depth not less than 1.5M below normal ground level connected to galvanized iron strip 25 X 4 mm (upto 7.5 metres) by means of bolts, nuts check nuts and washers of galvanized steel and connected to main switch board or main control board as directed and including provision of concrete pit in PCC (1:3:6) type C1, pre-cast RCC (1:2:4) type B1 cover slab 45 cm x 45 cm x 5 cm reinforced with 8 mm dia. TMT bars @ 150 mm centre to centre both ways, with one handle for lifting made out of 8 mm dia MS bar, provision of funnel, wire mesh, 20 mm bore galvanized steel tubing (Medium grade) for watering, charcoal or coke and salt in alternate layers, 40 mm bore galvanized steel tubing medium grade for protection of earth lead connection, necessary excavation and earth work in any type of soil and including necessary testing and dismantling of existing unsv earthing complete all as shown in Figure 15A of IS 3043 :1987, complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for replacement of PCC Pit in Cement Concrete 1:3:6 type C-1 (20mm graded crushed stone aggregate) with Cast iron cover 10mm thick hinged, Cast Iron Frame, MS Rod 6mm, Funnel as shown in Electrical Plate No 3 of MES Schedule Part-I including demolition of existing damaged pit and excavation work required at site, complete all as specified and as directed. Note : Rate shall be included for dismantling and removal debris of existing PCC pit.

M&L for replacement of Pre-cast RCC Cover with Handle 2 Nos and hole of dia 40mm in Cement Concrete 1:2:4 (20mm graded stone aggregate) of size 540x540x60mm, reinforced with and including 10mm dia TMT Bars @ 250mm Centre to Centre in both ways, complete all as specified and as directed. Note : Rate shall be included for dismantling and removal debris of exixting RCC cover pit.

M&L for replacement Cement Concrete 1:2:4 type B1(20mm graded crushed stone aggregate) provided around PCC Earthing Pit Chamber/ FRP Earth Pit cover of Plateform 900x900x100mm with fair finished Concrete Surfaces including necessary Formwork and Earth Work as required/ordered at Site, complete all as specified and as directed. Note : Rate shall be included for dismantling and removal debris of exixting PCC cover.

M&L Checking of any breaking in the Link of Earth Strip/Wire of Galvanised/ Copper/Aluminium any size and jointing them by Exothermic Welding or Brazing, complete all as specified and as directed.

Taking out loose/displaced Serviceable Aluminium Strip/ Copper Strip/ GI Strip of any size and any description with Accessories and refixing the same with necessary Fixing Arrangement like Screws, Saddles, Nuts and Bolts, complete all as specified and as directed. Note : Cost of Screws, Saddles, Nuts and Bolts, etc. will deemed to be included in the Quoted Unit Rate.

S&F in repair copper strip 20 mm X 3.15 mm with saddles and fixing screws etc, for roof conductors and down conductors above ground including provn of porcelain insulator @ 1.0 m spacing complete all as specified and directed. Note: Old strip will be property of department. Cost of Screws, Saddles, Nuts and Bolts, etc. will deemed to be included in the Quoted Unit Rate.

S&F in repair Earth continuity conductor or main earthing lead fixed to wall on batten or recess or chases or buried in ground or drawn in conduit/pipe or fixed to poles or any other indicated situation for loop earthing etc. as required 4mm dia galvanised iron or steel wire, complete all as specified and as directed.

S&F in repair Galvanised Iron Tubing/Pipe 25mm bore (dia), light grade for wire Protection, fixed in Walls/Floors with suitable type of Clamps, etc., complete all as specified and as directed.

S&F in repair Galvanised Iron Tubing/Pipe 40mm bore (dia), light grade for Strip Protection, fixed in Walls/Floors with suitable type of Clamps, etc., complete all as specified and as directed.

S&F in repair Test Point Terminal Block made of Gun Metal or Phosphorus Bronze size 75x75x25mm, drilled and screwed including 3 No. 8mm dia, 25mm long hexagonal Head Screw, complete all as per specified and as directed.

S&F in repair Air Termination Single Pointed Aluminium Rod 16mm dia and 500mm long with Arrester Clamp 16mm made out of Brass/ Gun Metal including provision of Cement Concrete 1:2:4 (20mm graded stone aggregate) Block 300x300x300mm, complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for replacement of Mild Steel Sheet of size approximate 300x200x1.6mm thick Sheet Egg type, Half round type, Rectangular type and Triangular type with welded 1ʺ (Inch) dia 2ʹ (Feet) long Mild Steel Pipe with duly different Synethic Enameled Paint cutting of Equipment Earthing/ Lighting Arrester Earthing/ Signal Earthing, etc. complete as specified duly painted as specified and marking of Earth Plate Number/ Description of Earthing/Type of Earthing on Plate with White Paint including Earth Plate No. and Earthing Resistance with Earthing Check Date and Earthing Check Due Date, complete all as specified and as directed.

S&F in repair arrester clamp for lightening of size 16 mm made out brass complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-charge.

S&F in repair insulator for fixing of earthing strip on wall/floor/ ground including nut and bolt all as specified and as directed. (NOTE: This item shall be executed where only the insulator is required to be replaced without removing/replacing the earth strip)

S&F in repair Steel Water Tubing 15mm bore (dia), Galvanised, ‘medium grade’ with all Fittings, laid in trenches, Floors, etc. or fixing to Walls, Ceiling, etc. or any other situation, complete as all specified and as directed.

S&F in repair brass ball valve 15 mm complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for replacement of damaged Tee from the joint of branch line to main line, 15 mm bore complete all as specified and as directed.
