NOTE :- The soil so excavated from item no 1 to 10 shall be removed outside def land by the contractor on his own arrangement and credit shall be recovered for the same. Rate for removal of the soil upto 50m is included in the rates considered for the respective items. Excavated soil meeting the requirements laid down for reinforced soil fill shall be stacked separately and used for forming embankment as approved by the Engineer-in-Charge.

Note:- The soil brought for forming embankmens(item no 12 to 20) shall be granular soil with Peak effective angleof friction of 30 degree.Soil to be free from organic and other deleterious matter . Coefficient of uniformity Cu shall be greater than or equal to 2. Plasticity Index shall not exeed 6. The grading of the soil shall be as under % Passing through 75 mm-100%,% Passing through 4.75mm-5-100%, % passing through 425 micron-60-90% & % passing through 75 Micron Less than 15%. The soil shall be tested as per the frequency and other norms as specified in MoRTH for the purpose of forming embankment to achieve the desired compaction and got approved from GE/AGE(I) before bringing the soil to work site for using in forming embankment.
