REPAIR/MAINT OF EXISTING EARTHING, LA SYSTEM AND CONNECTED E/M WORKS AT AF STN SIRSA

Checking for Earth Resistance of Chemical & Normal Earthing 1200 Nos. (approximate) and maintaining the Register as per Appendix 'A' & 'B' for earth registance complete and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. NOTE :- (a) Contractor will Check Earth Resistance Every Day (minimum 25 Nos. per Day) and will be recorded in Register, same will be put up to the Engineer-in-Charge through JE E/M on the Very Next Day (b) Resistance Tester will be provided by the Contractor at own cost. (Tester should be caliberated from NABL accredited labs).(c) Contractor will be responsible for pouring of water in the Earth Pits Weekly at his own arrangement with Water Tanker, etc. However, Water will be provided by the Department.(d) Checking of Earth Pits existing and improve it by watering, adding of chemical etc. (Chemical will be measured and paid separately)(e) Contractor will be responsible for marking of Earth Check date and due date on existing Plate with paint as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.(f) Contractor will be responsible for cleaning of bushes, grass, sand etc inside and all around upto 1.50M area of existing Earth Pit with tightening of Strip.(g) Checking member as deployed by the contractor will be reported every Morning and Evening to JE E/M.(h) Cost of register for maintaining earthing results, location wise shall deemed to be included with the unit rate. Proforma of detail column will be printed as per the direction of Engineer-in-charge. (j) Recovery for Penalty will be made as follows :- (i) Earthing left without Checked lesser by 25 No. - Rs. 50.00/Earthing (ii) Earthing left without Checked in a Month - Rs. 100.00/Earthing (iii) Earthing left without Cleaning in a Month - Rs. 50.00/Earthing (iv) Earthing left without Watering in a Month - Rs. 30.00/Earthing (k) Peridicaly for earth registance duly mentioning every week/every month in whole a period of completion of work will be decided by the Engineer-in-Charge. A copy therof is to be enclosed RAR. (l) Register as per Appendix 'A' & 'B' duly signed by the Engineer-in-Charge and contractor will be submitted to the GE for their rendom check every month.

Replacement of PCC Pit in Cement Concrete 1:3:6 Type C-1 (20mm graded crushed stone aggregate) with Cast iron cover 10mm thick hinged, Cast Iron Frame, MS Rod 6mm, Funnel as shown in Electrical Plate No 3 of MES Schedule Part-I including earth work required at site complete and all as per directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

Replacement of Pre-cast RCC Cover with Handle 2 Nos and hole of dia 40mm in Cement Concrete 1:2:4 Type B-1 (20mm graded Crushed stone aggregate) of size 540x540x60mm, reinforced with and including 10mm dia TMT Bars @ 250mm Centre to Centre in both ways complete and all as per directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

Cement Concrete 1:2:4 Type B-1 (20mm graded crushed stone aggregate) provided around PCC Earthing Pit Chamber/ FRP Earth Pit cover of Plateform 900x900x100mm with fair finished Concrete Surfaces including necessary Formwork and Earth, Work as required/ordered at Site in repairs complete and all as per directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

Checking of any breaking in the Link of Earth Strip/Wire of Galvanised/ Copper/Aluminium any size and jointing them by Exothermic Welding or Brazing complete and all as per directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

Taking out loose/displaced Serviceable Aluminium Strip/ Copper Strip/ GI Strip of any size and any description with Accessories and refixing the same with necessary Fixing Arrangement like Screws, Saddles, Nuts and Bolts complete and all as per directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. NOTE : Cost of Screws, Saddles, Nuts and Bolts, etc. will deemed to be included in the Quoted Unit Rate.

Replacement of Aluminium Strip 25x3.15mm with Saddles and fixing Screws for Roof/ Earth Conductors and down Conductors above Ground complete and all as per directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

Replacement of Copper Strip 20x3.15mm with Saddles and fixing Screws for Roof/ Earth Conductors and down Conductors above Ground complete and all as per directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

Replacement of Galvanised Iron Strip 32x6mm with Saddles and fixing Screws for Roof/Earth Conductors and down Conductors complete and all as per directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

Replacement of Earth continuity conductor or main earthing lead fixed to wall on batten or recess or chases or buried in ground or drawn in conduit/pipe or fixed to poles or any other indicated situation for loop earthing etc. as required 4mm dia galvanised iron or steel wire complete and all as per directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

Replacement of Galvanised Iron Tubing/Pipe 25mm bore (dia), light grade for wire Protection, fixed in Walls/Floors with suitable type of Clamps, etc complete and all as per directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

Replacement of Galvanised Iron Tubing/Pipe 40mm bore (dia), light grade for Strip Protection, fixed in Walls/Floors with suitable type of Clamps, etc complete and all as per directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

Replacement of Test Point Terminal Block made of Gun Metal or Phosphorus Bronze size 75x75x25mm, drilled and screwed including 3 No. 8mm dia, 25mm long hexagonal Head Screw complete and all as per directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

Supply only pouring of RoHS tested Earth Enhancement Compound after mixing with water tested by NABL accredited lab in compliance to IEC 62561-7 with a resistivity < 0.12 ohm-m. It shall be free from bentonite and other hazardous substances. It shall be a permanent, non-corrosive material and will not leach any chemicals into the ground. It shall retain moisture even in high soil resistivity areas and complete all as per directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. (Labour element is already included in item No 1 above). Note: Measurement of Chemical will be done in Powder form.

Replacement of Air Termination Single Pointed Aluminium Rod 16mm dia and 500mm long with Arrester Clamp 16mm made out of Brass/ Gun Metal including provision of Cement Concrete 1:2:4 Type B-1 (20mm graded Crushed stone aggregate) Block 300x300x300mm complete and all as per directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

Replacement of Air Termination Single Pointed Aluminium Rod 16mm dia and 500mm long with Galvanised Steel Tubing 40mm bore (dia), 1.50meter long, light grade with all Fittings with Arrester Clamp 16mm made out of Brass includ-ing provision of Cement Concrete 1:2:4 Type B-1 (20mm graded Crushed stone aggregate) Block 300x300x300mm complete and all as per directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

Replacement of Air Termination Single Pointed Copper Rod 16mm dia and 500mm long with Arrester Clamp 16mm made out of Brass including provision of Cement Concrete 1:2:4 Type B-1 (20mm graded Crushed stone aggregate) Block 300x300x300mm complete and all as per directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

Replacement of Air Termination Single Pointed Copper Rod 16mm dia and 500mm long with Galvanised Steel Tubing 40mm bore (dia), 1.50M long, light grade with all fittings with Arrester Clamp 16mm made out of Brass including provision of Cement Concrete 1:2:4 Type B-1 (20mm graded Crushed stone aggregate) Block 300x300x300mm complete and all as per directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

Replacement of Mild Steel Sheet of size approximate 300x200x1.6mm thick Sheet Egg type, Half round type, rectangular type and Triangular type with welded 1ʺ (Inch) dia 2ʹ (Feet) long Mild Steel Pipe 100mm dia with duly different Synethic Enameled Paint cutting of Equipment Earthing/ Lighting Arrester Earthing/ Signal Earthing, etc. duly painted and marking of Earth Plate Number/ Description of Earthing/Type of Earthing on Plate with White Paint including Earth Plate No. and Earthing Resistance with Earthing Check Date and Earthing Check Due Date complete and all as per directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

Supply and fixing of Earth Pit 125mm dia with FRP Earth Pit Cover of top size 200x200mm bottom size 300x300mm with height of 150mm with lockable Lid, Earth Pit cover shall be made of Poly plastic tested at 7.5 ton load for closing of earth pits complete and all as per directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

Replacement Maintenance Free UL approved Copper Bonded Earth Rod of 10 Feet length 17.2mm dia made of High Tensile Low Carbon Steel Rod, molecularly bonded with 99.9% Electrolyte Grade Copper on outer surface (minimum copper bonding thickness-250 microns) jointed with Copper Bus Bar of size 50x6x200mm with Exothermic joint and complete all as per firected by the Engineer-in-Charge.

Earthing complete with Galvanised steel Earth Plate Electrode 600x600x6.00mm thick burried directly in Ground (Earth Pit not less than 2.25M normal Ground Level) with Top edge of the Plate not less than 1.50 Metre below Ground Level, Earth Plate surrounded by a packed thickness of Char Coal or Coke Dust mixed with Common Salt in alternate layers of not exc. 150mm thick, PCC Pit in Cement Concrete 1:3:6 Type C-1 (20mm graded crushed stone aggregate) with Cast iron cover 10mm thick hinged, Cast Iron Frame, MS Rod 6mm, Funnel, GI Pipe 20mm medium grade all as shown in Electrical Plate No. 3 of MES Schedule Part-I including necessary Excavation in Soft/Loose Soil, Returning, Filling in and Removal of surplus Spoil upto a distance of 50.00M and and Testing on Completion and taking out old earth plate and connected materials complete and all as per directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

M&L for boring in loose/soft soil upto 200mm dia, by means of hand/ machine drill, upto 3 Meter depth from ground level and pouring of sufficient water for at least 3 times per day (within working hours) for two days and making hole under reference ready for pouring of chemical complete and all as per directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

Replacement of Copper Clad Steel Conductor of dia 10 mm , 250 Micron copper bonding with copper thimbles, Saddles and fixing Screws for Roof/ Earth Conductors and down Conductors above Ground complete and all as per directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.
