Electrical Contractor License: Tenderer(s) have to submit a copy of valid Electrical Contractor License for carrying out installation work of voltage class involved, issued by any State/Central Government along with the tender documents, failing which the offer is liable to be rejected.

Explanatory Notes: Electrical work for Construction of concrete road from gate No. 03 to workshop area of RCF, Kapurthala.

1.1.(Street light poles): Supply, installation, testing and commissioning of single arm tubular swaged Street light pole over all length 9.5 mtr (excluding arm.) with following accessories and foundation work complete as per drg. No. RCF/EL/SL/SP-01(Drawing for foundation purpose only). i) 9.5 mtr tubular swaged St light as per 410 SP-38 of IS:2713-1980 (Pt.II) excluding single arm 1.5 meter overhang of 50mm dia. GI Pipe and 150mm long nipple of GI pipe of dia 40mm as per drg No. RCF/EL/SL/SP-01 and suitable to receive 45 watt St light luminaires, the pole shall be painted with one coat of red oxide primer confirming to IS 2074/92 and two coats of aluminum paint confirming to IS 2839/1968. ii) Cable Jn Box of size 300x200x100 fabricated from 1.6mm SS-304 sheet, powder coated with pure polyester after seven tank treatment, paint shade RAL 7032 of M/s Nerocal/Berger paint with 1 No. Jn. Box should be fixed on pole with two Nos. S.S. U-clamps fabricated from 3x25 mm Stainless Steel strips with one hole of 20 mm dia. on back side for wiring from Jn box to light fixture. Jn box shall have SS hinges on top side and push type locking arrangement for the front cover. The box shall have IP-54 degree of protection. Box shall be got approved before starting the work. iii) Internal wiring from junction Box to lighting fixture with 2x1.5 sq mm copper multistrand conductor conforming to IS 694 /1990 or latest. iv) Required foundation 600mmx2000mm including concrete bed of minimum 150mm t h i c k & pole muffing 450mmx600mm with 1:3:6 cement, concrete ratio as per drg. No. RCF/EL/SL/SP/01 and two pieces of B class GI pipe 40mm dia. conforming to IS:1239 for cable entry through foundation & muffing with proper bending as per drawing of pole. 2000 mm bottom portion of pole shall be provide a coat of bitumen and bottom of pole shall be provided with 300mmx300mmx6mm thick MS plate duly welded with the pole.

1.2.(Sub Feeder pillar):Supply, installation (foundation as per RCF Drawing No. RCF/EL/TS/SFP/FDN/01), testing and commissioning of Sub Feeder Pillar as per RCF Drawing No. RCF/EL/TS/SFP/01. The work includes the new panel, connections of cables and taking the loops of existing cable if required , making of new foundations as per drawing , installation of SFP and its connections of cables with new compression glands and thimbles.

1.3.(GI Pipe earth): 1. The masonry enclosure work will be with standard concrete mix and it would be 1 part cement to 4 part san/aggregates. 2. Cover of earth pit shall be with open able and shall have locking arrangement. 3. The earth pits are required to be excavated/Dug in soft/pucca area. So the broken area is to be repaired properly to the original position without any extra cost. 4. Material a. Flats as per table of 09 of IS 1730(2004) or latest is to be used for GI strips. b. Pipes as per IS 1239 latest with nominal bore size of 40 mm is to be used for GI pipe. c. Plates material as per Table 03 of IS 1730(2004) or latest is to used for GI plates (6 mm thick). d. Steel used in earthing should be confirming to any grade of IS 2062 latest. e. Hardware as per relevant IS standard. 6. Galvanizing: The galvanizing of materials shall be confirming to the latest edition of the following standards except otherwise specified in the specification. a. Recommended practice for hot dip galvanized of Iron earthing strips IS 2629 or latest. b. Methods of testing weight, thickness & uniformity of coating on hot dip galvanized articles IS 2366 or latest. c. Specification for hot dip galvanized coating on fastness is IS 5358 or latest. d. Specification for hot dip zinc coating on mild steel tubes IS 4736 or latest. e. Specification for hot dip zinc coating on structural & other allied products IS 4759 or latest.

1.4.(GI Earth Wire): Supply and providing earth connections with 8 SWG GI earth wire in 15 mm dia 'B' class GI pipe from street poles/DB etc. to earthing stations/SFP. Proper thimbling of end termination of wire and related work shall be done as per the satisfaction of site in charge.

1.5.(Excavation of trench in pucca area): Excavation of trench in pucca area 1 meter deep and 400mm wide with 75mm sand layer around the cable and top covered with class -B bricks for protection and repair site the same as it is original.(The supply of bricks, sand, Cement etc. are under the scope of the contractor) .

1.6.(Excavation of trench under Soft soil): Excavation of trench under Soft soil minimum 1 meter deep & 400 mm wide for laying of XLPE aluminum armoured cables of all sizes as per site requirement and provide sand cushioning of 75 mm thick layer around the cable and top protection with class B bricks laterally to cable length of cable. (The sand, bricks etc. are in the scope of the tenderer). The trench to refilled back after laying of cable, ramming, levelling and watering the excavated area after laying of cable to bring the surface to original level.

1.7.(Fixing of LED street light fitting): Fixing, testing and commissioning of 45 watt LED street light fittings on the street light poles as per site requirement.

1.8. Supply, fixing, testing & commissioning of LDR/Photocell Sensor Switch (220V AC, 20A) Auto Day/Night On & Off Photocell Sensor, LDR Sensor Switch for Lighting, Water Proof (IP65) Photocell Sensor 20A with all accessories and fixing arrangement on power supply DB's of Make ESYSENSE ESY-LD27 or equivalent.

1.9.(Laying of 4CX25): Laying and testing of LT XLPE cables Aluminium conductor armoured of size 4x25 sq mm as per IS (Latest Version) relevant to cable laying. The cable is to be laid in the existing excavated trench & through hume pipes/trench/GI pipe/HDPE pipe as per site requirement. The angle of cable bend at the turning or loop to be maintained as per electricity rules/IS. The opening of cable from the drum is to be done with utmost care to avoid any tear and wear to the cable. The cable is to be got checked for its IR Value before covering with bricks. The IR value of cables to be checked before taking the cable drums from the store.( cable will be supplied by RCF Store). Cables in drums shall be handed over to the firm after joint checking with railway engineer in Railway Stores. Lifting of drums, transportation including cranes etc. and handling up to various sites will be the responsibility of the contractor. If any damage during handling, laying etc occurs owing to contractor and also If any theft occurs, contractor shall be entirely responsible for replacement of cable lengths, as permissible. The empty cable drums will be returned by contractor the RCF store in charge after finishing the work.

1.10.(End termination of 4CX25):Supply, making, testing & commissioning of for XLPE LT cable of mentioned cable size, aluminium conductor XLPE insulated armoured cable rated voltage of 1100 volts grade with brass compression glands aluminum terminal lugs and hardware etc.

1.11.(End Termination 4Cx120): Supply, making, testing & commissioning of end terminations for XLPE LT cable of mentioned cable size, aluminium conductor XLPE insulated armoured cable rated voltage of 1100 volts grade with brass compression glands aluminum terminal lugs and hardware etc.

1.12.(Laying of XLPE Cable 4Cx120sqmm):Laying and testing of LT XLPE cables Aluminium conductor armoured of size 4x150 sq mm as per IS (Latest Version) relevant to cable laying. The cable is to be laid in the excavated trench & through hume pipes/trench/GI pipe/HDPE pipe as per site requirement. 1.13.Supply of XLPE cable of size 4C x 120 sq.mm ,1100v conforming to is:7098 (part-1)/88 with amendment no.1,2&3 or latest with insulated PVC outer sheathed as per is:5831 or latest, armoured with galvanized round steel wire or steel strip (as per is :3975 /1999) cable with aluminium conductor (as per is :-8130 /2013 or latest ) suitable for rated voltage 1100 V .

1.14.(Supply of LED 45 Watt ):Supply of street light fitting 45 watt LED( OUTDOOR TYPE) for mounting suitable to 40mm dia. GI pipe of pole as per Specification No. RCF/EL/PS/LED/001 Amendment -II revised, suitable to operate on 230V 50 Hz supply. The firm should conform to RCF specification during the quoiting of tender.
