Taking down defective electric motor, squirrel cage type of any make, from base plate after unscrewing nuts, bolts of foundation/ coupling (approx weight 600kg), 3 phase, 415/440 volts, 50 c/s, AC, capacity 75 HP, shifting the same to workshop, strip opening after unscrewing nuts, bolts/ screws etc. taking out rotor from stator, cutting and taking out burnt winding carefully from the stator, cleaning of slots, rewinding of stator with super enameled copper winding wire of appropriate size matching with manufacturer's design including replacement of all insulating materials such as glass paper, leathered paper, PVC insulated copper conductor wire connection leads of appropriate size with sleeves of suitable size upto terminal connection box, varnishing, drying up and re-assembling, re-fxing and re-installation at site and testing on load all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Note:- Required T&P such as chain pulley block and tranportation shall be contractors responsibility and cost of same shall deemed to be included in quoted rates. Repair/ replacement shall be done within a period as intimated by the Engr-in-Charge falling which necessary recovery @ 500/ day shall be deducted from contractor dues. (iii) Repair shall be done from any workshop within a radius of 5KM from GE(U) Chandimandir.

Taking down butterfly valve of size 180/200 mm dia and repairing its gear box for any wear tear and oiling and greasing the entire valve for preventing any further breakdown and refixing the same at original position complete all as specified and directed. Note : (a) Only one number of Rapid Gravity Filter Bed is to be taken for overhauling at a time and the same shall be carried out as per instruction and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. (b) Prior to starting of overhauling of a filter bed, the required materials for overhauling shall be made available at site. (c) Entire materials labour, Engineer, supervisor, plant & tools required for executing the work and for safety of persons deployed on the work shall be contractor’s arrangement and responsibility. (d) During dismantling, a joint inspection will be carried out by Engineer-in-Charge with contractor and the detail of the filter media layers will be drawn. The new filter media layers are to be placed as per the details drawn during the joint visit. Note.Filter media shall be measured and paid seperately under respective items here-in-after under Ser item No 43 to 45. Cost of laying and levelling for filter media shall deemd to be included in quoted rates of item No 42.
