Surface dressing not exceeding 15 cm deep a and getting out in any type of soil in road side berms including all necessary cutting/ filling and finish to require level complete, all as specified and as directed by the Engr-in-Charge.

Surface excavation not exc. 30 cm deep and averaging 15 cm deep and getting out in any type of soil, complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Removal of excavated material to a distance exceeding 250m and n.exc 500m and depositing where directed, complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Rolling and consolidating formation surface with 8 to 12 tonne power rolling , including filling in soft sports, hollows and depressions etc. which occurs during rolling ( for portion coming in cutting/original ground only ) to required level gradient or camber etc. including watering before or during rolling complete all as specified.

Soling (or sub base) 150 mm thick spread thickness with broken boulders or quarried stone of size range 100 to 50 mm, deposited, spread, levelled in one layer, interstices filled, surface formed and rolled and consolidated to required gradient and camber using 8 to 12 tonne power roller complete all as specified and directed.

75mm thick (Compacted thickness) WBM in one layer with coarse aggregates of grading 2 (63 to 40mm size) or of grading 3 (50 to 20mm size) of granite, trap or basalt spreading and compaction with 8 to 12 tonne power roller and consolidated to required gradient and camber,complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Preparing un-surfaced water bound macadam surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc, sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with mechanical air blower to remove all loose dirt/foreign materials and applying evenly a priming tack coat with bituminous primer (Paving Bitumen of Viscosity Grade VG-30) at the rate of 10 Kg per 10 Sqm of surface laying bituminous premix asphaltic semi dense concrete 40 mm consolidated thickness with 5.5 % binder content by weight of total mix and 4% stone dust conforming to specification for filler as per IRC-95, 1987 (filler) prepared in hot mix plant, rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient to uniform smooth surfaces by mechanical paver and using with 8 to 10 tonne power roller, complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge. Note:-The minimum consolidated thickness will be 40mm. However it may be increased at places to maintain the camber as per the site requirement and nothing extra shall be admissible on this account. The contractor must visit the site before quoting their rates.

Note for item No. 7 :- (a) Preparation of mix in hot mix plant, spreading by self propelling mechanical paver and rolling and compaction by set of rollers as specified in particular specifications shall be carried out. Hot mix plant may be installed at any distance but the contractor shall be responsible for maintaining the required temperature of mix under all conditions till it is laid and compacted. Unit rate against these items shall include for carrying out the works with deployment of these machinery for which nothing extra shall be payable and no delay in completion of work shall be acceptable on this account. (b) To achieve marshal stability of 1050 KN and all as per SSR Part-I Clause No. 20.B.4. (c) If qty of binder contents is less than the qty as specified in respective items of BOQ, it shall be adjusted at supply only rates of paving bitumen @ Rs 45.00 Per Kg and if qty of binder contents is more than the qty as specified in respective items of BOQ no adjustment shall be made.

Hardcore of broken stone or boulders gauge exceeding 63 mm but not exceeding 100 mm, deposited, spread and levelled in layers n exc. 15 cm thick, watered and rammed to a true surface, complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge.

100 mm thick, Plain cement concrete 1:3:6 type C-2 (using 40 mm graded crushed stone aggregates) as in sub base for laying floor finishes including finishing the surfaces even and rough , complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Providing and laying at or near ground level factory made kerb stone of M-25 grade cement concrete in position to the required line, level and curvature, jointed with cement mortar 1:3 (1 cement: 3 coarse sand), including making joints with or without grooves (thickness of joints except at sharp curve shall not to more than 5 mm), including making drainage opening wherever required complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Providing and laying 60 mm thick factory made chamfered edge cement concrete paver block of M-35 grade with approved colour, design & pattern as in footparth, parks, lawns, drive ways or light traffic parking etc., of required strength, thickness & size /shape, made by table vibratory method using PU mould, laid in required colour & pattern over and including 50mm thick compacted bed of fine sand, compacting and proper embedding/ laying of inter locking paver blocks into the sand bedding layer through vibratory compaction by using platevibrator, filling the joints with sand and cutting of paver blocks as per required size and pattern, finishing and sweeping extra sand; complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Continuous brick edging, with width equal to the width of the brick, laid dry on end vertically with burnt clay bricks of sub class 'B' bricks, complete all as specified and as directed by the Engr-in-Charge.

Marking lines, dashes arrows etc of any description not exc 10cm width/girth and not less than 2.50 mm thickness on road surface using hot applied thermo plastic road marking paint mixed with radium glass beads @ 250 gms/Sqm with automatic machine to provide reflectivity and night vision (approximate temperature being 200° Celsius at the time of laying) including cleaning the surface by removing all dirt, dust & all other foreign matters, demarcation at site and traffic control,complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge.
