Excavation work by mechanical means (Hydraulic excavator)/ manual means in foundation trenches or drains in earth work in all heights and depth in all kinds of soils, including saturated soil comprising of pick work, jumper work, and blasting work both in soft and hard rock with chiselling and wedging out of rock (where blasting is prohibited) and their intermediate classification of soils including, dewatering wherever required, setting out to required lines, levels as shown on the drawing and as directed by the Engineer -in-Charge at site and sorting out useful and un- useful material and transportation of the un -useful material for disposing at approved dumping site or otherwise and including payment of prescribed charges of dumping to the owner of dumping site (to be arranged by the contractor) for the satisfaction of Engineer- in -Charge through all modes of transportation including head load, animal load or mechanical means along with its leveling fine dressing and with all kinds of labour, machineries, tools equipments and safety measures and other incidentals necessary to complete the work by mechanical means and labour (if required) including disposal of all surplus excavated earth at approved dumping site including all leads and lifts.

Excavating trenches of required width for pipes, cables, etc including excavation for sockets, and dressing of sides, ramming of bottoms, upto all depths including getting out the excavated soil, and then returning the soil as required, in layers in all depth, including consolidating each deposited layer by ramming, watering, etc. and disposing of surplus excavated soil as directed, within all leads. All kinds of soil Pipes, cables etc, of required dia including carriage of materials within all leads and lifts as per direction of Engineer-in-charge.

Disposal of excavated earth by Mechanical means on approved dumping site of M.C. Shimla or own arranged by the contractor. i.e. through all mode of transportation including head load animal load or mechanical means alongwith transportation of the unuseful material for disposing including payment of prescribed charges of dumping to the owener of dumping site through all modes of transporation including head load animal load or mechanical means alongwith its levelling, fine dressing and to complete the work by mechanized means and labour(if any required) All useful materials such as sto-nes, aggregate and slates shall be sorted out and stacked along roads side any loss of the public/private property during the courses of execution shall be the absolute responsibility of the contractor which shall have to be dully compensated by him in all respect as per direction of Engineer-in-Charge .
