Nature of Work : Construction of PUM School Building (4 class room (G+1)) at Keechankuppam in Akkaraipettai Panchayat, Nagapattinam Block, Nagapattinam District

Driving the pile with tractor mounted rotary rigs of specified diameter and length below the pile cap, to carry safe working load not less than specified, excluding the cost of steel reinforcement, concrete but including the cost of shoe and the length of pile to be embedded in the pile cap ,labour charges for fixing the steel reinforcement in position ,concrete pouring ,etc. all complete.

EARTHWORK EXCAVATION for foundation in all soils and sub soils and to full depth as may be directed except in rock requiring blasting but inclusive of shoring, strutting and baling out water wherever necessary and refilling the sides of foundation with excavated earth in layers of not more than 15cm thick, well rammed and consolidated and depositing the surplus earth within the compound in places shown by the departmental officers with initial lead and lift etc.,including levelling the sites complete complying with standard specifications and as directed.

CEMENT CONCRETE 1:4:8 mix using 40mm gauge hand broken hard granite stone jelly for FOUNDATION including dewatering if found necessary and laid in layers of not more than 15cm thick, well rammed etc., complete complying with standard specification.

Fillling in basement with Excavated earth layers of not more than 15cm thick,well rammed, watered and compacted, complying with standard specification etc., complete.

Fillling in basement with Sand in layers of not more than 15cm thick,well rammed, watered and compacted, complying with standard specification etc., complete.

Supplying and erecting CENTERING for sides and soffits including supports and strutting upto 3.29 m high for plane surfaces such as RCC SLABS, RECTANGULAR BEAMS, TEE or ELL BEAMS, LINTELS, BED BLOSKS. STAIRCASE WAIST and landing slabs, landing beams, canopy etc., in all floors with all cross bracings using mild steel sheets of size 90cm * 60cm and BG 10 stiffened with welded mild steel angles of size 25mm * 25mm * 3mm for boarding laid over countrywood joists of size 10cm * 6.50cm spaced at about 90cm centre to centre and supported by Casuarian props of 10cm to 13cm dia spaced at 75cm centre to centre etc., complete and as directed.

Supplying, fabricating and placing in position mild steel/Ribbed tor steel rods for all RCC works including cost of steel and binding wire also in all floors, complete complying with standard specfication.

Providing and laying in position, Standardised Concrete Mix M30 Grade in accordance with IS 456-2000, using 20mm and down graded hard broken granite stone jelly for all RCC items works with minimum cement concrete 400 kg/m3 and maximum water cement ratio of 0.45, including admixture (plasticiser / super plasticiser) in recommeded proportion as per IS:9103 to accelerate, retard setting of concrete, improve workability without impairing strength and durability with about (5.0cu.m) 7730 kg of 20mm machine crushed stone jelly and with about (3.3cu.m) 5156 kg of 10-12mm machine crushed stone jelly and with about (4.79 cu.m) 7670 kg of sand, but excluding cost of reinforcement grill and fabricating charges, centering and shuttering and also inclding laying, vibrating with mechanical vibrators, finishing, curing, etc and providing fixtures like fanc clams in the RCC floor/roof slabs wherever necessary without claiming extra, etc, complete complying with standard specifications and as directed by the departmental officers. The coarse and fine aggregates to be used should comply with the requirements of IS standards. (No seperate payment will be made by the Department for the excess usage of materials).

Basement

SPECIAL CEILING PLASTERING and finishing all the RCC exposed surfaces such as RCC slabs, sunshades, canopies, staircase steps, landing slabs, etc. with cement mortar 1:3 (one cement and three sand) 10mm thick and including hacking the surfaces and providing necessary cem,ent mortar nosing beading as per size, specification wherever necessary using the same mix as directed by the departmental officers etc.,complete complying with standard specification.

PLASTERING with cement mortar 1:5 (one cement and five sand)12mm thick in all floors complying with standard specifications.

WEATHERING COURSE CONCRETE using best quality broken brick jelly of size 20mm uniform gauge in pure slaked lime (no sand to be added) over the RCC roof slabs in the proportion of brick jelly to lime being 32:12.5 by volume and laid in a single layer and consolidated to the required designed and finished thickness by beating the concrete with wooden beaters if approved pattern keeping the surface constantly wet by sprinkling lime jaggery water as per standard specification etc., complete as directed by the departmental officers.

Finishing the top of roof with one course of PRESSED TILES of size 23cm * 23cm * 2cm of approved quality laid in cement mortar 1:3 (One cement and three sand) 12mm thick mixed with water proofing compound conforming to I.S. at 2% by weight of cement used and the top pointed with same mortar mixed with redoxide to the full depth of tiles, complete complying with standard specification. (The rate is inclusive of redoxide and water proofing compound ) and as directed by the departmental officers.

Granaolithic floor finish of 25 mm thick in PCC 1:2:4 using 10-12 mmHBGS Jelly inculding curing ete.complete.,

Paving the floor with best quality Vetrified (such as Morbonite) Tiles of size 600x600x8mm of approved colour, shade and quality laid in cement mortar 1:3(one cement and three sand) 20mm thick in all floors and the top pointed with the white cement.

PAINTING NEW IRON WORKS for doors, windows and Ventilators, Iron bars, Weldmesh, wiremesh, screen, steel bars, flats and other similar works etc., with TWO COATS of approved first quality of synthetic enamel paint over the existing red oxide primer in all floors. The rate is inclusive of cost of all materials and labour, brushes and scaffolding charges etc., complete complying with standard specification. (The paint to be used should be got approved by the engineer before use on work.

Supplying and painting the walls with two coats of oil bound distemper over one coat of water based cement primer including cost for distemper, primer, cleaning and scrapping the walls, rendering the walls smooth with necessary putty, brushes, scaffolding arrangements, labour charges, etc., as per standard specification. (The colour and shade of the distemper shall be got approved by the Executive Engineer before use of work).

Exterior Emulsion painting two coats with best approved quality and colour paint over one coat of Base coat including cost and convyance of all materials to work site and labour charges etc., complete.

Providing and fixing A.C. Rainwater Downfall pipes of 110mm diametre with necessary shoes, bends and other speicals, clamps, screws, nails, teakwood plugs etc., complete including cost of all materials. The rate is to include cost of removable cast iron Gratings of appropriate size. The size of teakwood plugs to be used is 150mm * 25mm in front and 200mm * 75mm in rear and all other sides with a depth of 100mm. The pipe is to be fixed by means of "U" clamps at the cnetre of the pipe screwed to the plugs. The special type of 'U' clamps at the centre of the pipe to be fixed in addition to these for more than three metres pipe length, complete complying with standard specification.

Supplying & fixing with cuddapah slabs 20-30mm thick for cup board thick and pointed with cement mortar 1:3 -10 Sqm

Supplying and fixing in position best Indian make wash hand basin of size 550mm X 400mm and approved brand and quality with a pair of C.I. Brackets fixed to wall with necessary teakwood plugs and brass screws one No. of 15mm C.P. Pillar tap, 32mm C.P. Waste coupling, rubber plug and chain, 32mm G. I. Union, 32mmG. I. Waste pipe, 15mm dia G. M. Wheel valve 15mm brass nipple and nylon connection including cost of white lead TW Plugs clamps, rubber washer, etc., complete. (The wash hand basin should be got approved from the Executive Engineer before use on works).

Supplying and fixing of PVC water storage tank of best approved quality and make of super thick with lid of capacity of 2000 litres with accessories including giving necessary connection etc., complete as directed by the departmental officer. (The PVC water storage tank should be got approved by the Engineer before use on work)
