PROVISION OF CERTAIN PREPARATORY WORKS INCLUDING SOIL INVESTIGATION FOR TECHNICAL POSITION AT AFS THANJAVUR

Amount

Surface excavation n.exc 30cm deep and average 15cm deep and getting out in hard and dense soil complete all as specified and as directed.

Surface dressing n.exc 15cm deep getting out in hard and dense soil complete all as specified and as directed.

Removing excavated material exc 1.50km and not exc 5km and depositing where directed at a level n.exc 1.5m above the starting point complete all as specified and as directed.

Grubbing up tree trunk exc 100cm and n.exc 150cm including of cutting trunk portion protruding over groung, digging out roots, filling holes and levelling off ground, stacking of serviceable material and removing unserviceable material to a distance n.exc 50m on clearing site complete all as specified and as directed. Note:- Tree trunks obtained from grabbing shall be be handed over to the users for further disposal. A certificate to this effect shall be obtained from the users for the further regularisation of the subject bill.

SOIL INVESTIGATION

M & L for Making necessary arrangement for mobilization and demobilization and Shifting of entire boring equipments, personnel, tools and arrangement from one bore hole to another bore hole location and setting of boring/drilling rig as required for soil investigation complete all as specified and as directed.

M & L for Boring 150 mm dia bore holes in any type of aoil to a depth of 10.00 m Depth or N>100 whichever occurred earlier in ground level by using rotary drill method in terms of 13:1892, Conducting SPT and Collection of disturbed annd undisturbed soil samples. Conducting the laboratory tests as per IS:1892 which includes the determination on soils and rocks (a)Atterberg limits (b) Natural moisture content (c) Wet and dry densty (d) Tri-axial shear test C&D (e) Shrinkage limit (f) Consolidation test (g) Crushing strength of rock samples, degree of weathering (CR value) and ROD of rock samples, Core recovery etc (h) Permeability test (j) Chemical analysis on soil samples (k) Soil/Particle size using seive hydrometer analysis (l)Chemical analysis on water samples (m) Standard and modified proctor's density test (n)Vane shear test (o) Salinity test (p) Grainsize analysis, identification & classification of soil (q) Liquid limit, Plastic limit (r) Shear parameters (C-phi analysis) (s) Depth of water table
