Enabling System

Structural Repair

BOND COAT: Providing and applying of bond coat approved epoxy resin EPI Bond of Krishna Conchem or equivalent before polymer plaster/concrete to have the perfect bond between old concrete and new concrete/polymer plaster surface within half an hour of after application of bond coat confirming to ASTM-C-882-87 using nylon brushes, scaffolding, labour etc. complete.
POLYMER MORTAR (15MM): Providing and applying 15 mm thick polymer mortar to load carrying R.C.C member in two layers in proportion of 1:5:15 by weight Polymer of approved quality and make, cement and quartz sand with required W.C. ratio for desired consistency and applying and finishing by floating, curing after initial setting time etc. as per manufacturer’s specification etc. complete.
POLYMER MORTAR (30MM): Providing and applying 30 mm thick polymer mortar to load carrying R.C.C member in two layers in proportion of 1:5:15 by weight Polymer of approved quality and make, cement Band quartz sand with required water cement ratio for desired consistency and applying and finishing by floating, curing after initial setting time etc. as per manufacturer’s specification etc. complete.
MICRO CONCRETE: Making up of distressed / loose / cracked / porous carbonated, loose part of concrete with fiberous micro concrete by Micron 1000 of Associated Chemicals or equivalent and repairing the damaged surface of concrete, fixing the form work / shuttering across the profile of damaged structural element;micro concrete should be mixed homogeneously. Pour the free flow ready mix micro concrete mix with 5 L to 7 L of water in the form work. The work should be carried out with all the safety measures like helmet, safety belt and under the supervision of qualified supervisor etc. complete. Item rate shall include cost of form work, shuttering etc.
NEW REINFORCEMENT STEEL: Providing and fixing in position HCRM / CRS (Corrosion Resistant Steel) bar reinforcement of various diameters for R.C.C. footings, foundations, slabs, beams columns, canopies, staircase, newels, chajjas, lintels pardis, copings, fins, arches etc. as per instruction including cutting, bending, hooking the bars, binding with GI wires or tack welding and supporting as required complete.
M.S. PROPS/M.S CRIBS: Providing and fixing in vertical position telescopic M.S.prop and M.S cribs of sufficient load carrying capacity under beam/lintel/slab/chajjas by using teak wood battens of appropriate size for packing between prop plate/base plate and the beam/lintel/slab/chajjas bottom surface as per the directions of engineer-in-charge.
Civil Repairing Work
EXTERNAL SAND FACE PLASTER: Providing sand faced plaster externally in cement mortar using approved screened sand, in all positions including base coat of 15 mm thick in cement mortar 1:4 using waterproofing compound at 1 kg per cement bag curing the same for not less than 2 days and keeping the surface of the base coat rough to receive the sand faced treatment 6 to 8 mm thick in cement mortar 1:4 finishing the surface by taking out grains and curing for fourteen days, scaffolding etc. complete with groove all around as per approved pattern (payment for providing grooves shall be made separately).
Forming groove of uniform size in the top layer of washed stone grit plaster as per approved pattern using wooden battens, nailed to the under layer, including removal of wooden battens, repair to the edges of panels and finishing the groove complete as per specifications and direction of the Engineer-in-charge : 15 mm wide and 15 mm deep groove.
DASH COAT:- Removing the loose plaster material and repairing the damaged wall surface with application of Dash coat of 1: 4 cement mortar and inserting brickbats or metal chips to level the surface complete as per the direction of Consulting Engineer / in-charge.
CHICKEN MESH : Providing and fixing chicken mesh of 22 gauge, with about 30 cm. width at the junction of R.C.C members and brick work, of approved quality including fixing mesh in position by galvanized U nails as directed etc. complete.
SEPERATION JOINT FILLING : Charges for groove cutting of 15mm x15mm deep along crack and sealing and refilling the same with epoxy mortar including cost of material, labour etc. complete.
R.C.C. JALI: Providing precast cement concrete Jali (of existing design and thickness) of Nominal Mix 1:2:4 (1 cement: 2 coarse sand: 4 graded stone aggregate 6mm nominal size) reinforced with 1.6 mm dia mild steel wire including centering and shuttering, roughening cleaning, fixing and finishing in cement mortar 1:3 (1 cement: 3 fine sand) etc. complete excluding plastering of the jambs, sills and soffits.
Providing 15 mm cement plaster 1:3 (1 cement: 3 coarse sand) finished with a floating coat of neat cement.
Providing Brick work 7 cm thick with common burnt clay F.P.S. (non modular) brick of class designation 7.5 in cement mortar 1:3 (1 cement : 3 coarse sand) in all heights and level, complete.
FERRO CEMENT CHAJJA: Carefully removing existing MS sheet chajja with all supporting framework etc, and providing newly constructed Ferro cement Chajja approx. 100 mm thick above 75mm height at window level with M.S. Flat 65mm x 6mm thickness on support of anchor fastener 12mm x 100mm size then fixing on horizontal surface 6mm reinforcement 500 mm long @ 150mm c/c then fixing G.I. weld mesh jali 10 gauge & PVC chicken mesh throughout surface area, filling of cement mortar @ 1:3 with mixing of bonding agent @ 20% by cement weight and complete top surface Chajja waterproofing & round vatta including all drilling, shuttering & required support etc complete as per approved designed& technical specification or as per the direction of Consultant & IREL’s Engineer-in-charge.
Plumbing Works
Dismantling old pipes of all diameters including excavation and refilling trenches after taking out the pipes, breaking lead caulked joints, melting of lead and making into blocks, including stacking of pipes at site lead up to 50 metre.
Providing and fixing G.I. pipes 50 mm dia nominal bore complete with G.I. fittings including trenching and refilling etc. (All fittings and accessories like clamps, bracket etc. should be of same brand. No separate payment shall be made for fittings and accessories).
Making connection of G.I. distribution branch with G.I. main of following sizes by providing and fixing tee, all G.I fittings, including cutting and threading the pipe etc. complete.

Wall Piece: Providing and fixing new Wall Piece of required sizes with all necessary fittings after chipping wall and removing the existing lines, filling the joints, providing PVC sleeves on top, cutting holes in external walls into inside flats, all complete as directed by EIC.
G.I. Bracket & Clamp : Providing and fixing G.I. Brackets and Clamps of required size for GI, PVC & UPVC pipes with U Bolt complete as per the direction of Consulting Engineer / in-charge
Cleaning of underground sump, Over Head R.C.C. Tank (independent staging) including disposal of slit and rubbish, all as per direction of Engineer-in-Charge. The cleaning shall consist following operations:- (i) Tank shall be emptied of water by pumping & bottom shall be cleaned of silt and other deposits. (ii) Entire surface area of the sump shall then scrubbed thoroughly with wire brush etc. and pressure washed with water. (iii) Chlorination of RCC internal surface by liquid chlorine. (iv) The treated surface shall be dried using air jetting and all loose particles shall be removal from the surface. (v) Finally the surface shall be treated with ultraviolet radiation etc. as per direction of Engineer-in-Charge. Note: Alternate suitable provisional arrangement for water availability shall be made by the contractor during this work. Quoted rate shall include above provision.
Water-proofing Works
CHAJJA & BALCONY TOP WATERPROOFING: Waterproofing Treatment to chajja and balcony top by using Polymeric cementitious membrane of approved make & approved by Engineer in charge by replacing the existing waterproofing treatment. Break open the existing I.P.S. and brick bat coba of the Tank top slab to expose the bare slab. (If there are cracks on the bare slab open the crack in V Groove and fill it with P.M.M. and if there are lots of honeycombs and identified bad patches of concrete the same should be grouted by grouting procedures). Clean the entire surface thoroughly and over this prepared surface, apply three coats of polymeric waterproofing coating having a breathable non toxic acrylic polymer liquid of approved make & approved by Engineer in charge, over this waterproofing treatment, provide and lay brick bat coba of average 112 mm thickness as per methodology provided in technical specification.
TERRACE, WATER TANK LIFT, HEAD ROOM TOP WATERPROOFING: Waterproofing Treatment to Water Terrace Top by using Polymeric cementitious membrane of approved make & approved by Engineer in charge by replacing the existing waterproofing treatment. Break open the existing I.P.S. and brick bat coba of the Tank top slab to expose the bare slab. (If there are cracks on the bare slab open the crack in V Groove and fill it with P.M.M. and if there are lots of honeycombs and identified bad patches of concrete the same should be grouted by grouting procedures). Clean the entire surface thoroughly and over this prepared surface, apply three coats of polymeric waterproofing coating having a breathable non toxic acrylic polymer liquid of approved make & approved by Engineer in charge, over this waterproofing treatment, provide and lay brick bat coba of average 112 mm thickness.
BROKEN CHINA MOSAIC ON TERRACE TOP : Laying the flooring of broken China-mosaic (broken pieces of China glazed tiles) of approved colour set in 25 mm. average bed of C.M. 1:3 with waterproofing compound to correct level and slope (1:100) well compacted and finished; such that minimum coverage of China mosaic chips is about 90% of the total area of slab. The above treatment shall continue along the inner side of parapet or the adjoining wall upto 30 cm. high as per the above specifications regarding cement mortar in shape of round vata with necessary groove etc. complete.
COPING ON PARAPET TOP : Providing and casting in situ/ready-mix PCC M20 grade of trap metal for coping to head walls/parapet including centering, formwork, compaction and curing etc. complete(with reversible drum type mixer/concrete batch mix plant(pan mixer)with SCADA with fine aggregates of required specifications (VSI sand finely washed etc.)
INJECTION GROUTING : Providing & grouting the holes by Poly Ceramic Cementitious i.e. NicGrout G 06 + 53 grade cement material as per requirement to reduce the porosity of concrete / Masonry structure and to increase the strength of structure using grouting pipes, grouting m/c, mixer, etc. with adequate safety measures, with all leads and lifts, material, machinery, labour, etc. complete as per specification and as directed by Engineer in-charge. The work should be carried out under the supervision of qualified supervisor etc. complete
Pavement & General Works
General open excavation in leveling & grading in all types of soil and existing PCC surface including transportation of excavated soil and dismantled PCC to municipal approved dumping ground or spreading as directed with all necessary labour, equipments, dewatering, preparing the bed for the foundation and necessary back filling, ramming, watering including shoring and strutting etc. complete. (Lift from 1.5 to 3.0 m) by mechanical means.
Rubble Soling: Providing and laying dry rubble packing of 230mm thick laid in one layers with bottom layer consisting of hard broken stone of required size and top layer consisting of stone aggregate of size 90 to 40mm blinded with sand/ gravel and well compacted to 85% of original volume complete as per technical specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.
PCC : Providing and laying Cast in situ/Ready Mix cement concrete in M20 of trap/ granite/quartzite/gneiss metal including steel centering, formwork, laying/pumping, compacting, roughening them if special finish is to be provided, finishing uneven and honeycombed surface and curing etc. complete. The Cement Mortar 1:3 plaster is considered for rendering uneven and honeycombed surface, only. Newly laid concrete shall be covered by gunny bag, plastic, tarpaulin etc. (Wooden centering will not be allowed.), with reversible Drum Type mixer/ concrete Batch mix plant (Pan mixer) etc. complete. Ceramic Anti skid Tiles Providing and laying glazed ceramic anti skid floor tiles of 1st quality conforming IS:13755, NITCO or equivalent make in colours White, Ivory, Grey, Fume red brown, laid on 20mm th. Cement mortars 1:4(1cement:4coarse sand) including surface preparation, laying of tiles, grouting the joints with white cement and matching pigments etc. complete.
