INSTALLATION OF CARRIER PIPE BY OPEN TRENCH METHOD (ALL KINDS OF SOIL)
(a) Receiving and taking-over as defined in the specifications, handling, loading, transportation and unloading of Owner supplied 3 - Layer PE coated carbon steel line pipes and Valves of size 2 inch and above from Owner designated stock-yard to Contractor's own stockyards/workshops/work-sites including preliminary activities, preparation of drawings, wherever required for crossings etc. including handling, stacking, stringing on the pipeline, Right-of-use / pipeline route alignment, carrying out inspection of company supplied materials including line pipes at the time of taking over, laying / installation of coated line pipe, associated fittings and accessories, including executing all works, "taking over", handling, including loading and unloading, transportation of Owner supplied materials other than line pipe from Owner's designated place(s) of issue to work site, arrangement of all additional lands required for Contractor's storage, fabrication, access for construction, procurement and supply of all materials (except Owner supplied materials), consumables, equipment, labor and other inputs, carrying out all temporary, ancillary, auxiliary works, ready for commissioning of pipeline as per drawings, Specifications, other provisions of Contract document and instruction of NEGDCL/VCS, including but not limited to carrying out the following works: (b) Surveying of Routes & detours required at the time of construction including marking the same in topographical sheet, preparation of AFC drawings showing survey details and submit the same to NEGDCL/VCS for review. (c) Staking and installation of construction markers, clearing, fencing, grubbing, cutting of trees, fulfilling all the requirements of various statutory / environment authorities to the entire satisfaction of concerned authorities, grading of work area, Shifting of all obstruction within the ROU/ pipeline route alignment viz electrical lines/poles, telephone lines/poles, co-ordination with concerned authorities and obtain permissions from these authorities. (d) Trenching to all depths by excavation in all types of soils including soft/hard rock, chiseling or otherwise cutting different types of pavement, footpath, roads etc. As required and storing excavated soil, reusable materials at designated area as directed by NEGDCL/VCS and to a width to accommodate the pipeline as per relevant standard/ specifications etc. (The minimum depth of the top of pipeline shall be 1.2 m or more from the finish of the stabilized grade level). Dewater of trenches if required as per site condition. Making trial pits as per instructions of EIC. (e) Carrying out repairs of pipe defects/replacement in case of irreparable defects and repairs of defects of pipe coating not attributable to Owner including defects / damages occurring during transportation/handling.
(f) Checking, cleaning, aligning, bending, cutting and beveling (as required) of pipes for welding and field adjustments including pipe fittings, welding, carrying out non-destructive testing of welds as required including 100% radiography and providing all requisite equipment, labor, supervision, materials, films, consumables, all facilities and personnel to process, develop, examine and interpret radiographs and other tests as required, carrying out repairs of welds joints found defective by NEGDCL/VCS, carrying out re-radiography and other tests as required on repaired joints. Providing PE warning mat over the pipeline etc. (g) Carrying out installation of carrier pipe at all crossings like roads/nallas/marshy area (Laying of Concrete Coated Pipes) etc. at designated depths by open cut (except at cased crossings or crossings carried out by HDD method). (h) Coating of field weld joints, long radius bends, buried fittings & valves etc. including supply of coating materials duly approved by Owner etc as per specification. (i) Counting the number and type of trees cut in presence of DFO/concerned authorities and keeping record thereof; stacking and handing over of all cut trees. (j) Installation/ lowering the pipeline in trench to required depth, supply & installation of 1.0 mm thickness HDPE yellow color warning mat over the pipeline along the complete route, padding around pipeline with suitable approved soil including supply of padding material, backfilling with available/ borrowed earth, approved excavated material and/ or other suitable soil by crowning. Compaction with jumping jack compactor and water at subsequent layers of 150mm or as directed by NEGDCL/VCS. All tiles / slabs/ curb stones etc. removed during excavation shall be placed properly. Roads, pavements, footpaths, etc. to be made motorable wherever pipeline is laid. (k) Supply and Installation of slope breakers, bank protection wherever required and as directed by Owner / Owner's Representative. (l) Taking of DGPS coordinate of all field joints , Reference Points with Landmarks & inform to Owner in the approved format. Coordinate shall be taken as per instrument approved by Owner . (m) Carrying out air cleaning, pigging, flushing, cleaning and hydrostatic testing of complete pipeline with quantity of corrosion inhibitor including pre-testing of designated sections complete as per specification and approved by NEGDCL/VCS to specified pressures indicated elsewhere and duration after stabilization as per specification, providing all equipment, pumps, fittings, instruments, dead weight tester, pressure recorder, thermocouples etc., and services, supervision, labor, consumables, water including supply of corrosion inhibitor, air, etc. as required, locating of leaks and rectification of defects, re-testing after rectification, dewatering after successful completion of hydrotesting of entire section and as approved by NEGDCL/VCS.
(n) All tie-in, including the tie-ins with adjacent section of the pipeline. (o) Protective coating of 450 micron thick two component epoxy / polyurethane (applied with the help of minimum three coats) including supply of materials duly approved by owner for all piping, Valves, fittings, structural steels etc. for buried installation and inside the valve pit. (p) Final clean - up and restoration of right -of -use and disposal of debris and surplus material to designated disposal areas and re-instating the area to its earlier state and as directed by NEGDCL/VCS. (q) Precommissioning activities like swabbing, drying of the complete pipeline network and the associated facilities being installed to the specified acceptance criteria as per Owner/Owner's Representative. (r) Maintaining the completed pipelines/ installation for any defect, failures during defect liability period (i.e. 12 months from date of commissioning of Pipeline). (s) Ensuring proper safety as per codes & standard practices during construction, cordoning off the work area, providing warning signs, barricading and proper tools & tackles, Equipping the workers with safety boots, helmets and florescent aprons & barricading as per enclosed drawings. The barricading is to be done throughout along the trench/ welding string. (t) Any other activities not mentioned/ covered explicitly above, but otherwise required for satisfactory completion/ operation/ safety/ statutory/ maintenance of the works shall also be covered under the scope of work and has to be completed by the Contractor within specified time schedule at no extra cost to Owner. The pipeline laying shall be done as per specification, code & standard & guideline by NEGDCL/VCS. (u) Preparation of as-built drawings, pipe-books (1 set of tracing on polyester film and 3 sets of as - built drawings and 1 soft copy and 6 copies of pipe book.) All the works shall be executed in accordance with the provision of contract including carrying out all temporary/ancillary/ auxiliary works required of the performance of the works and all other acts, deeds, matters and things necessary to make the pipeline ready for pipe commissioning activities.

Notes: 1. Supply of Long Radius bends ( R = 3D) is in the Contractor scope. It shall be paid separately as per relevant SOW. 2. This item shall be applicable for the pipeline, fittings, accessories, valves etc. between existing / proposed underground tap off points from existing steel main grid to I.J. for U/G portion. 3. For restoration of asphalt / concrete roads, the item for construction of asphalted top/concrete top/red stone etc. shall be paid separately as per relevant SOW 4. In case, hard rock of single piece exceeding 1.5m in any direction and removable only by pneumatic chisel / drill / rock-breaker, payment shall be made separately over and above SOR item No. 1 as per relevant SOR item. 5. Concrete sheathing of carrier pipe shall be paid seprately. 6. Liasioning shall be carried out by the contractor. It shall be paid separately as per relevant SOR item. 7. All fittings, flanges, valves etc. & Bare pipe below 2" shall be in Contractor's Scope.
EXCAVATION - HARD ROCK
Excavation of hard rock, wherever hard rock of single piece exceeding 1.5m in any direction and removable only by pneumatic chisel / drill / rock-breaker. The rates are payable over and above the laying rates considered under SOR item specified as INSTALLATION OF CARRIER PIPE BY OPEN TRENCH METHOD (ALL KINDS OF SOIL)
SOFT SOIL / SAND FILLING (Preferably) - ROCK AREA/RCC DUCT
150 mm Pre Padding & 200 mm Post Padding in pipeline trench using Soft Soil/ Sand (preferably) filling as directed by the EIC.
Liaisoning with authorities during construction and testing of pipeline as required
Approval/ NOC and Liasoning work with various authorities for starting construction, laying of pipeline as per the direction of Project in-charge () as & when required: 1. Applying permission, follow up and obtaining permission for laying gas pipeline along with OFC cable from the Statutory authorities, District Administration, authorities like SH, NH, Irrigation, PWD, Traffic police, Forest department, Railway etc. at desired locations within 3-6 months of intimation given by NEGDCL to vendor for applying NOC. 2. Complying with all stipulations/ conditions/ recommendations of the said authorities in line with permission/ NOC. 3. For measurement purpose payment against this line item will paid on per Kilometre length of pipeline for which approval has been obtained. 4. The above permission will be applied for any Stretch/crossing (major or minor) as per the direction of Project in-charge (NEGDCL/VCS) as & when required or as per the requirement of Site Progress. 5. Any Permission fees (Only the official payment) to be made to the statutory authorities against demand note / permission letter shall be paid by owner (NEGDCL). Note- This item will be applicable where route survey & liasoning agency had not taken approval or any additional approval is required during pipeline laying execution work then the same will be taken care by existing pipeline laying vendor as per the direction of Project in-charge (NEGDCL/VCS). This has to be executed only after direction and Written Instruction from Engineer / Project Incharge.
Liasoning with various authorities during construction, laying, testing & Commissioning of pipelines: 1. Liasoning with statutory authorities, District Administration, local authorities/agencies, Landowners, local villagers etc. : Liaisoning / coordinating & required communications with statutory authorities, Road Authorities (NHAI/SH/PWD etc), District administration, Irrigation & Forest Dept, local agencies, land owners, local villagers, any local body etc. for facilitating encumbrance free Pipeline corridor/utility corridor/road ROW, private ROW, any encroachment on Pipeline corridor /route for pipeline laying works in order to complying with all stipulation / terms & conditions /suggestions / recommendations of the said authorities to ensure smooth execution without hindrances/delay. 2. Ensuring proper day to day basis liasoning during pipeline laying with above all concern, before & during execution of job. Proper co-ordination/liason with various authorities, local administration, utility owner (Telephone dept, Water dept, Drainage dept, Electrical dept etc.), land owner, villagers for obtaining work permit/working permission in line with NOC obtained/approval/consent in order to execute job in all respects to ensure smooth execution without hindrances/delay. 3. Any other/ additional permission/ other than original permission required will be the scope of contractor. This also includes jobs as specified in Special conditions of Contract & Scope of works relevant to liasoning works. Note- Payment shall be based on actual length of 3LPE coated pipeline already laid under authority area only parallel laid length in same trench of MDPE pipeline shall be not paid separately. This has to be executed only after direction and Written Instruction from Engineer / Project Incharge.
Note : Payment shall be based on the actual laid length of 3LPE Coated CS pipeline under authority area only. Parallel laid length in same trench of MDPE Pipeline shall not be paid seperately.
INSTALLATION OF CARRIER PIPE BY SHALLOW HDD METHOD IN ALL STRATA AT DEPTH UPTO 5 METER WITHOUT CASING PIPE
(a) Execution of road/other crossing by Shallow Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) technique including mobilization & de-mobilization at site(s), supply of all materials as per the `Scope of Supply' and all consumables, equipment, manpower & other resources and arranging the required land for site preparations and execution of, but not limited to, the following works in accordance with the specifications, drawings and as per all provisions of the contract document complete in all respect as per the instructions of the Owner / Owner's Representativer. 'Taking delivery and transportation of Owner-supplied 3LPE coated pipes to the work site from designated stockpile location, inspection of the coated pipes visually and/or with holiday detector for defects, including arranging all necessary intermediate storage area required thereof till the pipes are installed in permanent position. Complete site preparation including arranging of required land, setting up of fabrication yard, preparation of temporary arrangement for pipeline stringing, launching etc. Carrying out repair of pipe defects, replacement in the case of non-repairable defects and repairing damages to pipe coating including defects/ damages occurring during transportation and handling. (b) 'String preparation including repair of pipe and pipe coating defects, welding, non-destructive testing of welds including 100% radiography (by X-ray), supply of films & all equipment and providing all facilities to Owner's representative(s) for examining radiographs, repair of defects in the welds and re-testing etc. Carrying out pre-installation hydrostatic testing of the complete pipeline string, as per the specifications, including repair of defects and retesting etc. Coating of the field joints of the pipe string to be installed by shallow HDD method with DIRAX heat shrink sleeves of approved make used for HDD crossings. 'Repair of all coating damages in the pipe section to be laid by shallow HDD method by full encirclement sleeves using suitable cut sections of approved quality of heat shrink sleeves of approved make. Supply & fixing of easy to install heat shrinkable duct end caps for HDPE duct for OFC-1 nos for each location (wherever OFC has to be laid along with the carrier pipeline).Maintaining useability of duct should be the responsibility of contractror. 'Installation of the pipeline and 1 runs of OFC conduits (Optional) as a bundle crossing below the Road/ other utility horizontally by shallow HDD operation to the correct profile as per the approved drawings in a pre-reamed hole of appropriate size. Carrying out post-installation coating survey as per approved procedure. Restoration, clean-up and disposal of drilling fluid, waste and all other surplus materials etc. All other works not specifically listed herein, but required as per specifications, drawings, provisions of the contract document, calculations and construction method statement, leading to successful completion of the works.
Installation of 6" NB PE Coated Steel pipe by Shallow HDD method (Upon specific written approval of Owner / Owner's Representative)
Note: 1. Payment shall be based on the actual length (Length between tie-in joints) of pipeline laid by Shallow HDD. Exact location of tie-in shall be approved by Owner/ Owner's Representative. 3. The length of Shallow HDD mentioned is tentative and may vary to the considerable extent, depending upon requirements as per site conditions and shall be decided by Owner / Owner's Representative. 4. Payment for the length of final tie-in carrier pipeline string with mainline laid by Shallow HDD are inclusive in this above item rate. No separate payment shall be made under other clauses mentioned elsewhere. 5. This item shall be executed as per specific instruction of Owner / Owner's Representative.

(a) Supply & Installation of Casing pipe (Carbon steel) by augur boring & Jacking method / Moling / HDD for crossings in all types of soils and terrain, and restoration as original of the facilities crossed and performing all works as per drawings, specifications and instructions of Owner/ Owner's Representative and provisions of contract document. Submission of as built drawings. (b) Carrying out installation of carrier pipe in the casing pipe at cased crossings. (c) Checking, cleaning, aligning, bending, cutting and beveling (as required) of pipes for welding and field adjustments including pipe fittings, welding, carrying out non-destructive testing of welds as required including 100% radiography and providing all requisite equipment, labor, supervision, materials, films, consumables, all facilities and personnel to process, develop, examine and interpret radiographs and other tests as required, carrying out repairs of welds joints found defective by NEGDCL/VCS, carrying out re-radiography and other tests as required on repaired joints. 12" NB Carbon Steel Casing Pipe ( HDD) for 6'' NB Carrier Pipe
Notes: (a) Payment shall be based on the actual length of cased crossings. (b) Casing end seals, casing insulators, vent & drain connections shall be provided by contractor. (c) Above rates for this SOW Item for steel pipeline laying is inclusive of carrier pipe string preparation (welding, NDT, pretesting, field joints coating with special type heat shrinkable sleeves (Direx), Hydrotesting (Pre & Post), precommissioning etc) and repair of pipeline coating of carrier pipe string till the string ready for pulling. (d) If required, HDPE duct for OFC shall be laid along with Carrier pipeline, Payment for Supply of HDPE duct and OFC shall be made separately.

(c) Above rates for this SOW item for steel pipeline is inclusive of carrier pipe string preparation (welding, NDT, pretesting, field joints coating with special type heat shrinkable sleeves (Direx), Hydrotesting (Pre & Post), precommissioning etc) and repair of pipeline coating of carrier pipe string till the string ready for pulling. INSTALLATION OF CARRIER PIPE (CARBON STEEL) BY TRENCHLESS METHOD WITHOUT CASING PIPE
(a) Receiving and taking-over as defined in the specifications, handling, loading, transportation and unloading of Owner supplied 3 - Layer PE coated carbon steel line pipes from Owner designated stock-yard to Contractor's own stock yards/workshops/work-sites including preliminary activities, carrying out inspection of owner supplied materials (3LPE coated carbon steel line pipe) at the time of taking over and supply of all materials (except 3LPE coated carbon steel line pipe) consumables, equipment, labor and other inputs, carrying out all temporary, ancillary, auxiliary works, as per drawings, Specifications, other provisions of Contract document and instruction of NEGDCL/VCS, including but not limited to carrying out the following works: Site Preparation, welding, radiography, coating field joints with special type heat shrinkable sleeves (Direx) pretesting of completed carrier pipe and making the string and welding of entry & exit point of HDD/boring with mainpipeline. Pre installation hydrotesting including leaks detection and repair of defects and retesting etc. for defects attributed to contractor's faulty work. Hydrotesting with mainpipeline and precommissioning activities like swabbing, drying to the specified criteria as per owner/owners representative. Purging with nitrogen and Commissioning of complete pipeline network including supply of all equipment, machinery, consumables, tools and tackles, manpower, etc., as per specification, provisions of bid document and instructions of NEGDCL/VCS. Final dossier all notes & calculations as required in the specification. Preparation of as-built drawings, pipe-books (1 set of tracing on polyester film and 6 sets of as - built drawings and 1 soft copy and 3 copies of pipe book.) (b) Installation of Crossings of carrier pipes by HDD / moling for Rail, Road, Nala, Canal crossings etc wherever required in all types of soils and terrain except Hard Rock, backfilling and restoration as original of the facility crossed and performing all works as per drawings, specifications and instructions of Owner / Owner's Representative and provisions of contract document. (c) Any other activities not mentioned / covered explicitly above, but otherwise required for satisfactory completion / operation / safety / statutory / maintenance of the works shall also be covered under the scope of work and has to be completed by the Contractor within specified time schedule at no extra cost to owner. It shall be done as per specification, code & standard and guideline by Owner / Owner’s Representative.

(a) Installation of carrier pipes by rock drilling for footpath, nala, along the road, road , canal crossings or wherever required in all types of hard rock. It includes survey of the underground utilities, submission of profile for approval, execution of the work as per the standard procedure, including , excavation of the pits, insertion/pulling of the carrier pipe, removal of malba, subsequent backfilling and restoration of the facility crossed as per original condition, including supply of all other materials, equipment, consumables, manpower etc including string preparation of pipes, welding, welding repair, radiography, coating of field joints with special type of Heat Shrink Sleeve (Direx) and repair of pipeline coating with special repair patch materials as per Specification, pre-testing etc. of complete string made for crossing/ laying access for Contractor etc. and execution of, but not limited to, following works in accordance with specifications and instruction of Engineer-in-Charge and as per all provision of Contract Document. Balance activities as defined in SOR Item 1 to 10 above

Notes: (a) The length of HDD mentioned is tentative and may vary to the considerable extent depending upon requirements as per site conditions. Striping/removal of 3LPE coating from 3LPE coated line pipes by suitable method.
SUPPLY AND INSTALLATION OF ROCK SHEILD
(a) Supplying & providing approved type of extruded polyethylene mesh (rock shield) on mainline pipe to protect the coating against rocky soil including supply of all inputs such as labour, materials, consumables etc. necessary to perform and complete the work in all respects in accordance with the specifications, manufacturer's recommendation and instruction of Site Engineer / Eingineer-In- Charge. (b) Rock shield shall provide external pipe protection from backfill rock damage and/or abrasion damage during pipe operation of the exterior coating; minimum thickness of 11mm, flexible PVC (polyvinyl chloride), strand extruded rock shield pads. The rock shield shall be extruded from an elastomeric plastic material of which the basic resin is prime virgin polyvinyl chloride. The PVC compound shall not contain any scrapped, reclaimed or recycled material whatsoever. Minimum weight of rock shield should be 0 .825 lbs/square foot. Rock shield is to be constructed of randomly extruded strands of elastomeric PVC plastic and must be bi-directional. This means that it should sufficiently protect the pipe regardless which side of the rockshield faces the pipe. The color of the rockshield shall be yellow to provide higher visibility to third party excavators.
Notes: (a) Rock shield pads shall be affixed to pipe utilizing non-metallic bands of filament tape. (b) Spacing of non-metallic banding shall not exceed 80 cm on center. (c) Rock shield shall completely encircle the pipe with a minimum overlap of 10 cm. Overlap shall be located at the bottom radius (6 o’clock position). (d) Back-fill should be “shaded” into the trench during back-fill procedure. Do not dump back-fill directly on protected pipe. (e) Follow manufacturers recommendations.
INSTALLATION OF SV STATIONS
(a) All works for installation of all underground & above ground piping at all elevations and below ground at all depth for Sectionalizing Valve Station as per P&ID in all type of terrains and soils including "Receiving and taking over" as defined in the specifications, handling, loading, transportation and unloading of all Owner supplied materials i.e. , butt welded, sectionalizing ball valve, other types of valves, line pipes for mainline from Owner's designated place(s) of issue to work site, Supply of pipes, fittings & valves for piping of size below 2", supply of all consumables, materials, manpower and carrying out all mechanical works of underground and above ground piping including fabrication, welding, non-destructive testing of welds, weld repairs/ retesting, cleaning/ flushing, pre-hydrotesting & hydrostatic testing, dewatering, functional testing, cutting of mainline and beveling (if required), tie-in of valve assembly, including radiography of tie-in joints, corrosion, coating and external painting as required. (b) Installation of instruments like pressure/ temperature instruments/ gauges, provision for tubing to the actuator in future, obtaining all statutory clearances, approvals and permissions for the works (wherever required). Excavation in all types of soil including soft / hard / rocky surfaces, providing 200 mm thk PCC for valve base support, backfilling and compaction with approved soil for installation of pipes and fittings, etc including sand padding all around the valves in SV station, pipe supports and fencing would be paid against separate SOR s ), painting, finishing, clean-up and restoration of site; preparation of as-built drawings, documents and project records and performing all works as per drawings, specifications, other provisions of Contract document and instructions of Engineer-in-charge.

Works at Future Connections: Complete works of design, engineering, installation of all piping, valves, fittings at all depths inside the pit in all types of terrains and soils including transportation, handling of Owner supplied material from Owner's designated issue point(s) to work site, supply of Contractor's supplied materials to work site(s), all mechanical works including fabrication, welding, non destructive testing of welds, weld repairs/ retesting, cleaning/ flushing, pre-hydrotesting & hydrostatic testing, dewatering, functional testing, cutting of mainline and beveling (if required), tie-in of valve assembly, including radiography of tie-in joints, corrosion, coating and external painting as required. All civil works including excavation of pit, piping supports including all PCC and RCC works for pedestals with insert plates as required, construction of valve chamber including with supply of all material and finishing, clean up and restoration of site, filling and grading of area around valve station for avoiding any local flooding of area and as per specification and instructions of Owner/Owner's representative. Preparation of as-built drawings, documents and project records and performing all works as per drawings, specifications, other provisions of Contract document and instructions of Engineer-in- charge.

PURGING & INERTISATION OF PIPELINE INCLUDING SUPPLY OF NITROGEN
Purging and inertisation of pipeline section between the two isolation valves with nitrogen to make the pipeline section free from oxygen including supply of required quantity of nitrogen and all equipments, tools and tackles, manpower etc. required for the works and as per instruction of engineer in charge. Complete with necessary regulator, hoses, pressure guage, connections with tools and tackles. Submission of purging plan for approval before actual work and complete assistance for purging. By filling and pressurizing with nitrogen upto a pressure of 2 bar(g). Supply of nitrogen for maintaining 2 bar (g) of pressure in steel pipeline after purging. Contractor shall be responsible for maintaing the pressure up to 2 bar(g) till commissioning.
PIPELINE LAYING / INSTALLATION OF ABOVE GROUND PIPELINE
Welding of pipes with Pipes/fittings/Valves:
(a) Receiving and taking over of all free issue materials from company’s designated place of issue, handling including lifting, transportation from Owners and / or contractors storage point to work site / workshop as applicable for fabrication or / and to work site for field fabrication and erection for all piping items supplied by COMPANY / CONTRACTOR. (b) Fabrication including cutting, edge preparation, inclusive of grinding the edges of pipes, fittings, etc. to match with grinding the edges of pipes, fittings etc. to match with the matching edges of uneven / different thickness wherever required fit - up bending, preheating wherever required, welding etc. pipe fittings like elbows, tees, reducers, weldolets, sockolets, etc. vent and drain point connection etc. including providing stub - in connection, fabricated fittings and reinforcement pads etc. as required. Carrying out Non-destructive testing as per specification & instruction of EIC.

Erection & Testing:
(a) Complete work of erection, painting, testing and making ready for further commissioning / start - up carbon steel piping and fittings of all sizes and ratings. Supply of pipes, fittings, valves etc. below 2" & installation of, all fittings like elbow, tees, reducers, swages, weldolet, sockolets, nipples, flanges, blind flanges, spectacle blind flanges, valves etc. Contractor's scope of supply of all consumables, equipment, manpower and other resources and execution of but not limited to the following works in accordance with relevant specifications, drawings, scope of work and instruction of Owner/ Owner's Representative and as per all provisions of the contract document. (b) Erection of pipes of all types and thickness over sleepers, overhead on rack and at all elevations, connecting with equipment nozzle, aligning and installation for all types of valves, all online instruments and fittings of all sizes of elbow, reducers, tees, flanges blind flange, spectacle blind flanges, branch connection / tapping, vents and drains, required for process and hydrotesting, tapping for pressure gauges thermowells sample connections, etc. (c) Painting of entire system (including all pipes and accessories) as per specification, including supply of approved paints and primers, preparation of surface and application of primer and paint, identification lettering/numbering, color coding, etc. as specified including rub down & touch up of shop primer or scrapping of shop primer wherever required by COMPANY and providing scaffolding for all heights etc. Cleaning and flushing by water /compressed air, testing of the system including hydrostatic, pneumatic and any other type of testing as specified, draining, drying by compressed air / other methods approved by COMPANY. (d) Cleaning and flushing by water/ compressed air, testing of the system including hydrostatic, pneumatic and any other type of testing as specified, draining, drying by compressed air/ other methods as approved by Owner. (e) Completion of all such work in all respect as per scope of work and as per drawings specifications and instructions of the COMPANY and keeping in the system ready in all respects for further commissioning and start up. BORE LOG
The soil investigation includes boring, collection of disturbed samples from bore holes and visual engineering classification of soil along the pipeline route and submission of detailed report to Company. Visual classification of soil shall be in accordance with IS-1498; :IS Classification and Identification of Soils for General Engineering Purposes” Geotechnical investigation of soil shall be carried out as per relevant clauses of IS 1892 and other applicable IS standards Except for crossing location as defined below, the boring shall be carried out upto 10 m depth below NGL or 01 m. below the rock bed, if rock is encountered at a depth of less than 10 m. In case of boring at Highways (National/State), River and Railways crossings, the boring shall either terminated at a depth of 15 m below NGL or 01 m. below the rock bed on top of bed rock, if rock is encountered at a depth less than 15 m. Results of soil investigation survey shall be submitted in the form of report covering minimum the followings: Visual engineering classification of soils encountered along the pipeline route in bore log form. Depth of Ground Water Table (GWT) below NGL shall also be mentioned if encountered. Soil profiles along the pipeline route shall also be prepared and attached with the report. Regions along the pipeline route where hard rock is present and special excavation techniques like blasting, etc. needs to be adopted for excavation of pipeline trench shall be clearly indicated in the report. Test shall be carried out at approved laboratory. Summary of results obtained from tests and their interpretation to evaluate soil parameters. Visual engineering classification of soils obtained from bore holes shall be shown in Alignment sheets also whenever preparation of Alignment sheets are in SURVEYOR’S scope of work.”

The job is to be carried out as per the modified drawing with no extra cost All civil works including supply of all material, excavation of pit,sand filling , piping & valve supports including all PCC and RCC works for valves pit, pedestals with insert plates as required sealing of pipe at valve pits, providing cover etc and finishing, clean up and restoration of site, filling and grading of area around the valve station to avoid any local flooding of area, as per specification enclosed and instruction of Owner / Owner's Representative. Installation of Crash Guard for protection of valve chamber situated adjacent to road from any incident/accident. Preparation of as-built drawings, documents and project records and performing all works as per drawings, specifications, other provisions of Contract document and instructions of Owner / Owner's Representative.

Carrying out subsurface utility survey along the proposed pipeline route and/or as specified by Eingineer -In-Charge for 5 m corridor using Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) for depth upto 5 m below the existing ground level to locate and identify all existing underground utilities /buried objects including but not limited to pipelines , sewers, conduits, cables, drain, manholes ,appurtenances etc in the proposed corridor along with location ,DGPS coordinates,depth,shape and dimensional detals of utilities . Four (4) copies of report and drawing incorporating all collected datas shall be submitted as per scope of work and direction of Engineer-in-charge .Scale of drawing shall be Planimetry (X axis 1:1000,Y axis 1:100),Longitudnal Section (Z axis 1:100) and Transverse section at critical location.

Supply, fabrication and erection of all types of pipe supports of MS material like clamps, saddle, guide stops, cradles, turn buckles, anchors, T-posts; stockade / trestle and pipe bridge for overhead piping; frames for canopy, approach ladders and platforms, crossover, cable tray supports etc. including painting suitable for highly corrosive area as per specification labor and supervision & complete work as per specifications and instruction of Owner / Owner's Representative (Bolts, nuts, washers, U - clamps etc. for supporting shall be supplied by the contractor within the rates quoted. These items will not be measured and paid separately) this work is to be complete in all respect as per scope of work.
TRANSPORTATION OF COATED LINEPIPES, VALVES, MDPE PIPE, MDPE VALVES, FITTINGS etc. FROM NEGDCL STORAGE YARD TO CONTRACTOR STORAGE YARD:
"Receiving and taking over" of "free issue" Line pipes, Valves, MDPE Pipe, MDPE Valves, Fittings etc. from NEGDCL Store Yard location to Contractor Store yard/working site/material required location; Carrying out inspection of Line pipes at the time of receiving and taking-over, recording of pipe & coating defects at the time of taking over in the presence of Company's representative, carrying out repair of coating defects & pipe defects attributable to Company; including supply of materials, consumables & equipments; handling, hauling and transportation from designated place of issue to Contractor Storage Yard; unloading and stacking of the line pipes at Contractor Storage Yard; including arranging all equipments, trailers, trucks & manpower; all works as per Scope of Work, drawings, PTS, GTS and other provisions of the Contract and instructions of Owner/ Owner's Representative; all associated works not indicated herein but required to complete the work as per Scope of Work, Provision of Contract & instructions of NEGDCL/VCS.
Note: 1. This line item will be applicable only for transporation of free issue Line pipes, valves, mdpe pipe, mdpe valves, fittings etc. outside GA boundary (as per PNGRB) as per the direction of Owner/ Owner's Representative. Transporation within GA bounary (as per PNGRB) is under Contarctor scope as mentioned in above line item. 2. Rate for repairing of coating defects in line pipes identified and recorded at the time of receiving & taking over i.e. coating-defects attributable to Company shall be included in this item.
EARTH WORK IN EXCAVATION AND BACKFILLING
Earthwork in excavation for foundations in ordinary soils including soft rock / disintegrated rock in both dry and wet conditions including pumping and bailing out surface and subsoil water, shoring, strutting, slush removal including backfilling in all positions in layers of 300mm at all heights and depths as per drawings and specifications wherever required, in Foundation pits and other places with excavated suitable surplus earth including reclaiming from spoil heaps kept within the plot including dressing and levelling, watering and mechanical compaction etc.,transporting surplus unserviceable soil upto a lead of 1 km and spreading in layers and as per specifications and direction of Engineer in charge. The Measurement for payment shall be for the theoretical volume only and it shall be the volume of the block of the excavation having maximum bottom dimension of the levelling course/PCC as per drawing and to actual depth.

PLAIN CEMENT CONCRETE
Supplying and laying plain cement concrete of grade 1:3:6 (M 10) with stone aggregate 40mm down grade (including shuttering if required) in all levelling courses under foundations, mass concrete works, chambers, trenches,floors and any other locations at all depths complete in all respects as per drawings, specifications and directions of the NEGDCL/VCS.

REINFORCED CEMENT CONCRETE
Providing and Laying in position Machine batched and machine mixed Design mix/ Ready mixed for Reinforced Cement Concrete work of grade M-25 using 20mm down size graded aggregate at all depths and heights using cement content as per approved design mix manufactured in fully automatic batching plant and transported to site of work in transit mixer for all leads, having continuous agitated mixer, manufactured as per mix design of specified grade for reinforced cement concrete work including pumping of RMC as applicable, including cost of centering, shuttering and admixtures in recommended proportions as per IS: 9103 to accelerate/retard setting of concrete (improve workability without impairing strength and durability) but excluding cost of reinforcement as per direction of NEGDCL/VCS. Mechanical mixers with Hopper along with Weigh Batcher shall also be permitted for use at site with the approval of NEGDCL/VCS to produce Design Mix Concrete of specified grade.
Note: 1. Rate to include cost of all labour, tools, tackles, equipment, hire charges, supply of all materials such as, minimum 43 grade OPC/PPC cement including sulphate resistant cement if required, coarse and fine aggregates, admixtures, other minor construction materials, testing of concrete, curing etc. with all bye works complete. 2. The reinforcement shall be paid separately vide respective item.
REINFORCEMENT STEEL
Supplying, Fabricating and Fixing in position TMT Grade Fe 500D reinforcement conforming to IS1786 at all levels and positions including the cost of transport, straightening, cutting, bending, cranking, welding, provision of necessary chairs and spacers, preparation of bar bending schedule and getting the same approved by NEGDCL/VCS etc., complete as per drawings and specifications and including cost of binding wire, labour, testing etc., all complete in all respects as per detailed construction drawings, technical specifications and direction of NEGDCL/VCS. The chairs and spacer bars provided will not be measured for payment.

Providing and laying BRICK WORK straight or curved on plan to any radius using best quality bricks with frog/indent, conforming to sub-class A as per IS:1077 having crushing strength of not less than 50 kg/cm2 in cement mortar 1 :6 (1 Cement : 6 Coarse Sand) in all types of foundation and superstructure at all depths/heights including projections, pillars, parapets, ornamentals of any shape, cornices, all complete including cut work, curing, scaffolding,including filling of joints with Cement Mortar 1:6 and racking of joints, etc. as per specifications, drawings and directions of the Engineer.

Restoration of Trenches / Pits
Restoration of asphalt / concrete /Tiles/Kerb Stone/ red stone roads / pavement/ pavor block etc. including compaction of soil, to original condition as per requirement and to the entire satisfaction of EIC and / or concerned Owners having jurisdiction for following thickness. Note: 1. Restoration Job to be completed within 6 Weeks from the date of Excavation for pipeline laying / As Per Instruction of EIC. 2. During rains, restoration of asphalt shall be allowed with addition of emulsion or as per instruction by local authorities. 3. Wherever the top surface width is more than the approved trench width, restoration payment will be made as per approved trench width only. Any excavation/ restoration above the approved trench width shall not be liable for payment. 4. In case of any penalty imposed by NH/State/ local/ Statutory authority, the same shall be recovered/ debited from the vendor. 5. In case restoration job has been carried out by NH/State/ local/ Statutory authority due to poor job/before the restoration by vendor, risk and cost towards the same shall be payable by vendor. 6. For all restoration job carried out by vendor, Municipal Corporation may carry out inspection of the restoration jobs. Vendor to coordinate for their visits as and when required. 7.obtaining no objection certificates from the concern local authorities / land owners / third party inspection agencies designated by land owing agencies and Owner.

TEMPORARY CATHODIC PROTECTION
Design, Detailed Engineering, Survey, Supply, Installation, Testing and commissioning & Monitoring of the temporary cathodic protection [TCP] system using galvanic anodes to protect the external surface of the entire steel pipeline network approximately 20kM in length, from, against soil- side corrosion for minimum 2 years or till commissioning of permanent CP system whichever is later. All work shall be carried out conforming to the Scope of work, Design Basis, Data Sheets, specification, standard and vendor list attached and provisions of GCC, SCC including Technical specifications, OWNER/CONSULTANT approved survey report/design package, including all materials, equipment's, consumables, start up/commissioning spares etc. including transportation, storage of materials at site, manpower, in line with direction of Engineeer in-charge.
Conducting soil resistivity survey at 1000M intervals, corrosion survey at 10kM intervals(for Soil Ionic & Microbial Loading) along pipeline ROW, collection of all relevant data like foreign pipeline, details of existing CP systems and anode beds, DC/AC power sources and systems using earth return path such as HVDC substations/ earthing stations, Crossing and parallel running of electrified railways, underground power cables and other elements that may interfere with the CP system as per standard specifications and scope of work.
Supply and installation of Test lead Points (TLP/Test stations) Big Size (475mm X 420mm X 350mm), with lockable door in weather proof IP-55 construction as per specifications and standard drawings complete with backlite connection plate, connection studs terminals, 4” dia heavy duty pipe, base plate welded at the bottom including MS bend for concrete base, M-20 grade concrete foundation as per standard drawings & miscellaneous works such as excavation and backfilling for foundation/trenches for cable laying. The work shall include PCC over foundation after installation of TLP, supply & fixing of a name plate containing the details like KM location, identification, TLP No., Marking of connection scheme, type etc., on the inside of the cover including the cost of all labour, materials, tools & tackles etc.

Supply & Installation of pre-packed Mg Anode (7.5 Kg) with one tail cable 1Cx10 Sq.mm Unarmoured cable (with sufficient length) & encapsulation kit for cable connection termination of Anode tail cable in the TLP etc. Howevever min one anode is to be installed at every one kM with test staion.
Supply & Installation of pre-packed Zinc Anode (40 years design life / Min. 22 Kg) for HT Line crossing with one cable including 1Cx25 Sq.mm armoured cable (with sufficient length), encapsulation kit termination of Anode tail cable in the TLP etc.
Supply & Installation of 3.7 kA @30 cycles solid state Polarization cell, to be installed in the vicinity of AC transmission lines.
Supply & Installation of Surge Diverter for Insulating Joint (10/350 µS = 100kA)
Supply and installation of Zn Ribbon anode (Dia min. 12x14 mm with back fill in trench) can also be used for the grounding purpose to get lower grounding resistance.
Supply and installation of pre-packed Cu-wire AC mitigator wire of MATCOR make or equivalent can also be used for the grounding purpose to get lower grounding resistance.
Supply and installation of GI Pipe earth electrode of 65 mm dia, 4.5 mm thickness & 3000mm long and earth pit back fill as per standard drawing Earthing of above ground cathodically unprotected pipeline at IJ Locations. Maximum allowed earth resistance shall be 2 ohms.
Supply, installation, testing & commissioning of external electrical resistance Probe utilizing the electrical resistance technique to monitor corrosion at marshy / vulnerable locations on the pipeline. (01 no. ER Probe Reader to be supplied with every 5 no ER Probes. Minimum 1 no ER Probe Reader to be supplied in case the no of ER Probed is less than 5). The location of external ER probe shall be decided during detail engineering.
Supply, installation, testing & commissioning of Polarisation coupons each of total area of 100mm x 100mm having one side exposed area of 10 mm x 10 mm shall be provided along the pipeline at marshy areas and at vulnerable locations to monitor the external corrosion activity on the pipeline as per enclosed standard specification. Location of external Polarisation coupons & Number of magnetic devices for operation of magnetic switch shall be decided during detail engineering. The works related to collection of approximately 2-5 m of pipeline material (In pieces of 300 to 1000mm length) for fabrication of Polarisation coupons is in the scope of the Contractor.
Bonding in between pipelines running parallel or crossing as required including taking of permission from the owner of the foreign pipeline (Permission shall taken by the Pipeline Owner and any fee required for the same shall be paid by the Owner, however contractor shall assist in all respect to get such permissions from foreign pipeline owner). i) Bonding of pipelines shall be carried out through bonding stations (variable resistance of suitable value + shunt + diode, if required). Polarization coupons shall be installed at every test station in the parallel section and at crossings. ii) The Contractor shall supply and install bonding stations as provision to bond the pipelines. For the new pipeline as a provision for interference mitigation Bonding Junction box (BJB) shall be installed as a minimum at the following locationsiii) Where the new pipeline runs parallel to the existing pipelines, at start and end of parallelism and at every five (5) km intervals. As a minimum, all existing parallel pipelines laid with a separation distance of 10 m shall be provided with bonding provision. iv) Where the pipeline crosses or intersects the existing buried pipelines or buried section of pipelines / Piping. v) BJB shall have provision to terminate 25/35 mm2 bonding cables and a 6 mm2 potential monitoring cables connected to each foreign pipelines as well as new pipelines. BJB shall be provided with appropriately rated shunts and resistors for each circuit. Rating of the resistors shall be calculated based on the mitigation requirement.

Instrumentation
a) Supply of SS pressure gauges as per data sheet and enclosed drawing and installation of pressure guages and their accessories inclusive of supply of necessary piping materials and tubings alongwith all necessary valves and fittings, fabrication and installation of impulse lines / mainfolds and hydrulic testing and calibration as per installation standard.
Providing & Installation of SS pressure gauge (make as per recommended vendor list) as per data sheet attached in the tender.
Supply & Installation of Temperature gauge with all accessories including Erection, Installation, testing, site calibration and commissioning along with associated accessories, fittings, tubing etc.
