Earth work in excavation by mechanical means (Hydraulic excavator) / manual means in foundation trenches or drains (not exceeding 1.5 m in width or 10 sqm on plan), including dressing of sides and ramming of bottoms, lift up to 1.5 m, including getting out the excavated soil and disposal of surplus excavated soil as directed, within a lead of 50 m. (HSR 4.14.1) All kinds of soil.

Filling available excavated earth (excluding rock) in trenches, plinth, sides of foundations etc. in layers not exceeding 20cm in depth, consolidating each deposited layer by ramming and watering, lead up to 50 m and lift up to 1.5 m. (HSR 4.32)

Providing and laying in position cement concrete of specified grade excluding the cost of centering and shuttering - All work below plinth level and up to Floor IV level:1 :4: 8 ( 1 Cement : 4 coarse sand (zone-Ill) : 8 graded cum stone aggregate 40 mm nominal size) (HSR 6.1.6)

Providing and laying cement concrete in retaining walls, return walls, walls (any thickness) including attached pilasters, columns, piers, abutments, pillars, posts, struts, resses, string or lacing courses, parapets, coping, bed blocks, anchor blocks, plain window sills, fillets, sunken floor etc., up to floor four level, excluding the cost of centering, shuttering and finishing: (HSR 6.2.2) 1 :2:4 (1 Cement : 2 coarse sand (zone-Ill) : 4 graded stone aggregate 20 mm nominal size)

Providing and laying in position specified grade of reinforced cement concrete, excluding the cost of centering, shuttering, finishing and reinforcement-All work up to plinth level: (HSR 6.14.1) 1 : 1. 5: 3 ( 1 cement : 1. 5 coarse sand (zone-Ill): 3 graded stone aggregate 20 mm nominal size)

Reinforced cement concrete work in walls (any thickness), including attached pilasters, buttresses, plinth and string curses, fillets, columns, pillars, piers, abutments, posts and struts etc. above plinth level up to floor four level, excluding cost of centering, shuttering, finishing and reinforcement : (HSR 6.15.1) 1:1.5:3 (1 cement : 1.5 coarse sand(zone-111) : 3 graded stone aggregate 20 mm nominal size)

Brick work with modular extruded brunt fly ash clay sewer bricks (Conforming to IS: 4885 ) in cement mortar 1 :4 (1 cement : 4 coarse sand) in foundation and plinth : (HSR 7.48.1) Cement Mortar 1 :4 ( 1 cement : 4 coarse sand)

Brick work with non modular fly ash bricks conforming to IS :12894, class designation 10 average compressive strength in super structure above plinth level up to floor IV level in : (HSR 7.47.1) Cement mortar 1:4 (1 cement: 4 coarse sand)

12 mm cement plaster of mix : (HSR 11.5.3) 1 :4 (1 cement: 4 fine sand)

15 mm cement plaster on the rough side of single or half brick wall of mix : (HSR 11.6.1) 1 :4 (1 cement: 4 fine sand)

Applying white cement based putty of average thickness 1 mm, of approved brand and manufacturer, over the plastered wall surface to prepare the surface even and smooth complete.(HSR 11.60) (L.R)

Applying one coat of water thinnable cement primer of approved brand and manufacture on wall surface: (HSR 11.67.1) Water thinnable cement primer (L.R)

Wall painting on a cement plaster surface with acrylic emulsion paint of approved brand and manufacture to give an even shade : (HSR 11. 71.1) Two or more coats on new work (L.R)

Steel reinforcement for R.C.C. work, where not included in the complete rate of RCC, including straightening, cutting, bending, Placing in position, binding, wastage, overlaps, welded joints, spacer bars, chairs, stays, hangers and annealed steel wire etc. Complete in all respect below plinth level (HSR 6.33.6) Thermo-Mechanically Treated bars of grade Fe-500D or more.

Steel work welded in built up sections/ framed work, including cutting, hoisting, fixing in position and applying a priming coat of approved steel primer using structural steel etc. as required. (HSR 13.29.2) In gratings, frames, guard bar, ladder, railings, brackets, gates and similar works

Pdg. and Fixing GI Barbed wire fancing on wall provided with four horizontal line fixed with GI staplas turns buckles etc. complete (excluding cost of angle iron post and concrete ) (N.S)

Recovery Item : The rates quoted against recovery items will not be included in the total amount rather it will be deducted while calculating financial statement of the agency. Material obtained from dismantling of existing bricks work have been calculated taking assumption that 80% of theoretical material will be retrived. The dismantled material can be used in any of the items for the work after modification (Bringing it to required specification) after approval from employer. In case it is not possible to use this material on the work, the agency can take away this material. This material can be taken away by the agency at the price quoted by the agency but minimum price to be quoted is limited to reserve price as fixed and mentioned as under:- Good bricks @ 4.50 /- each

Bricks Bats @ 500 /- per Cum Note : All quantities of above materials have been worked out on the basis of theoretical quantites laid in this work. However, agency may visit site before quoting rates and assess the extent of retrived material. There shell be no measurement after actual dismantling and if material after dismantling is found on lesser side, no claim of agency on this score will be entertained and full recovery on the basis of quoted rate and quantity exhibited in the BOQ shall be made. The reserve rates are minimum rates to be used as base for quoting purchase rate by the agency. No rates below the reserve price will be entertained and reserve price will be considered for all purposes in case the agency quoted lesser than reserve price. In case of any difference in the unit & nomenclature of any of the HSR items of civil & PH work depicted in this DNIT and that given in HSR, the unit and nomenclature given in HSR shall be applicable.
