Annual periodical maintenance of the Cross gate of Dharap on Ranbir Canal of size 10’x8’6” approx. by way of dismantling of manually operated winch machine of 5ton capacity by unscrewing / cutting of rusted nuts and bolts, extracting out the front plate of the double gear mechanism winch machine. Unscrewing the rain protection pipe and the dismantling the the top cover plate of winch machine. Extracting the gear mechanism and stem rod and cleaning the gear mechanism with appropriate cleaning agent. Checking of stem rod for its straightness. Assembling back the winch machine after greasing it properly. Connecting the stem rod to the gate structure and applying of grease to its threads. Lifting the gate to its maximum height to apply the grease to the sliding grooves. Providing & fitting of nut, bolts & washers. Cleaning of gate surfaces with sand paper and making the surface smooth. Cleaning of gate surfaces with sand paper and making the surface smooth. Complete painting of gate structure and winch machine with one coat of anticorrosive primer and two coats of superior quality paint. Oiling/greasing of the movable parts. Checking the up and down movement of the gate. Complete job includes cost of material, hire charges of tools & tackles and charges on a/c of skilled labour required for execution of work.

Repair to the gate at Tinda minor of size 2’4”x3’6” approx. to increase the height of gate by way of dismantling of manually operated winch machine of 2 ton capacity by unscrewing / cutting of rusted nuts and bolts, extracting out the stem rod, the job involves cutting of sliding channel of size 4” and taking out the supporting channel and then extracting out the leaf structure from the sliding grooves, cutting the leaf width wise through and through then welding the additional sheet of existing thickness of one foot width along with vertical channel. Then sliding the finished/machined leaf structure inside the sliding channel after cleaning and painting with one coat of anticorrosive paint and two coats of superior quality paint. Welding the additional sliding channel of one foot vertical both side to increase the height of sliding grooves then grinding/finishing of the welded surface for smooth movement of leaf structure in the sliding channel/grooves. Assembling back the stem rod and winch machine on the supporting arms after cleaning and greasing of the gear mechanism by p/f of new nuts and bolt of required size. Complete painting of winch machine with one coat of anticorrosive paint and two coats of superior quality paint. Checking the up and down movement of the gate. Complete job include cost of material, hire charges of tools & tackles and charges on a/c of deployment of gas/electric cutter and welding set at site (to &fro) and skilled labour required for execution of work
