REPAIRS TO CERTAIN ROADS/ROAD FURNITURE IN TECHNICAL AREA AT AF STN SIRSA UNDER GE (AF) SIRSA

Material & Labour for Repairs to Potholes, not exc 1.00 Sqm each, including sweeping free from dust and mud or water, scouring sunken surfaces in roads, path etc, cutting around edges at least 25 mm thick in depth, making good by applying tack coat with bituminous primer (using paving bitumen grade VG 10) @ 5Kg per 10 Sqm, putting in bituminous premix, 25 mm consolidated thickness with 0.34 Cum of stone chippings mixed with 18.25 Kg of paving bituminous binder (VG-30) per 10 Sqm; well rammed, depth of potholes not exc 30mm, rolled with power road roller of 8 to 12 tonne capacity complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer in Charge. Note :- (i) Pot holes shall be marked by Engineer-in-charge before commencement of work and same shall be entered in MB after making good and before laying of bituminous premix carpet.

Material and labour for Scarifying or picking gravelled, macadam surfaces or bituminous macadam surfaces depth n.exc 50 mm deep in area n.exc. 400 Sqm complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Material & Labour for 75mm (Compacted thickness) with coarse aggregates of grading 2 (63 to 44mm size) or of grading 3 (50 to 20mm), size, spread, rolled and consolidated to gradient and camber required type of aggregate granite, trap or basalt complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-charge.

Material and labour for preparing unsurfaced WBM surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surfaces with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-charge.

Material and labour for applying evenly a priming/tack coat with paving bitumen 80/100 grade @ 10Kg per 10 Sqm on unsurfaced WBM surfaces complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Material and labour for Premix bituminous macadam laid / rolled and compacted to required gradient and camber (consolidated thickness 75mm or less) using Paving bitumen (VG-30), binder content @ 4.0% by weight of total mix (Preparation of surface and priming / tack coat shall be measured & paid separately) and compacted with 8 to 10 tonne power roller and compacted required camber and gradient complete all as specified and directed. Note : (i) Hot Mix plant of adequate capacity shall be used for heating and mixing of agregates and binder and shall be laid in single layer with mechanical sensor paver all as specified and directed. (ii) The design mix shall be carried out from Zonal laboratory/ Govt Engineering Colleges/ CTL or any E-in-C/ MES approved lab as approved by GE before incorporation in work and testing charges shall also born by the contractor.

Material and labour for Preparing black top surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc. sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc. and laying Semi dense bituminuous premix asphalt 30mm consolidated thickness with 5.5% binder content by weight of total mix using paving bitumen VG-30 grade, rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge. Note : No extra shall be admissible in case of excess binder content above 5.5% as specified in description of item.

Material and labour for applying evenly a priming/tack coat with paving bituminous primer VG-10 at the rate of 5 kg per 10 sq metre complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Providing and laying Premix Bituminous semi dense asphaltic Concrete 30mm consolidated thickness with 5.5% binder (paving bitumen of grade VG-30) content by weight of total mix and crushed aggregates of grading 2 with mixing of agrgregates and VG-30 bitumen in electronic operated 100-120 TPH batch type hot mix plant, transporting the hot mix from the plant to work site by tippers and laying with mechanical paver finisher and as per approved mix and rolled & compacted to required camber and gradient with vibromatic roller, complete all as per Clause 507 MORTH (5th Rev) specification and complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge. Notes : (i) The contractor shall quote the rate against this Item considering 5.5% VG-30 bitumen content. Job Mix Formula as per CIause. No. 505.3.3 of MORTH (5th Rev) for BC shall be worked out from Zonal laboratory/ Govt Engineering Colleges/ IIT/NIT/CTL or any E-in-C/ MES approved lab for obtaining Optimum Binder Content (OBC) by the Contractor without any financial effect to the Dept and same be submitted to the GE for approval. Any variation in binder content on minus side shall be adjusted @ Rs 52/kg of binder and no adjustment shall be made on plus side. (ii) Cost of filler i.e. cement (Ordinary portland cement/OPC) is deemed to be included in quoted unit rate. (iii) After spreading of mix as per clause 507.4.7 of MORTH entire surface during the operation shall be rolled with road roller 8-10 tonne (smooth wheeled) followed with vibratory road roller of 8-10 tonne static weight, followed by finished rolling with 6 to 8 tonne smooth wheel tendom roller as per Clause Nos. 507.4.8 of MORTH and cost of the same is deemed to be included in quoted unit rate.

Material and labour for preparing bituminous surfaces of road and marking 2.5mm thick centre line, stop lines, dashes, arrows etc and the like on roads pavements with hot applied thermoplastic road marking paint of approved colour confirming to BS 3262-1989 with special applicator machine including cleaning and drying the surface all as per manufacturers instructions complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer in Charge.
