REPAIRS, RESURFACE OF ROADS INCLUDING ROAD MARKING, ROAD FURNITURE AND CONNECTED WORKS AT VARIOUS LOCATIONS UNDER GE (I) RndD (WEST) BENGALURU

Repairs to pot holes of depth exceeding 30 mm, area not exceeding 1 sq m each, sweeping free from dust / mud / water / scoring sunken surfaces in roads, paths, etc. cutting around edges to at least 25 mm in depth, making good, applying tack coat @ 5 kg per 10 sq m, laying premixed bituminous macadam with binder 9.8 Kg per 10 Sq m, blended with 0.09 cu m of stone chipping, 6.3 mm size (paving bitumen), well rammed , complete all as specified and directed. Note : Tack coat and premixed bituminous macadam shall deemed to included in quoted rate.

Material and labour for Preparation of water bound macadam (WBM) surfaces with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc. sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with gunny bag to remove all loose dirt etc., and including applying evenly a priming / tack coat with RS1 grade paving bitumen at a rate of 10kg per 10 sq.m, complete all as specified and as directed.

Material and labour for Premixed bituminous macadam laid / rolled and compacted to required gradient and camber, (consolidated thickness 75mm or less) using paving bitumen of Grade VG - 30 as binder with 4% by weight of total mix, laid using self propelled mechanical paver, rolled and compacted with power road roller of 8 to 12 ton capacity to required camber and gradient, complete all as specified and as directed.

Material and labour for Preparing black top surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc., sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc., and applying priming / tack coat with RS1 paving bitumen @ 2.5 Kg / 10 Sq m, over black top surfaces, complete all as specified and directed.

Material and labour for, Bituminous premix semi dense asphaltic concrete (SDAC) 30 mm thick consolidated thickness @ 5.50 % binder content by weight of total mix using paving bitumen of grade VG-30, in mechanical and hot mix plant and pre-mixed materials laid with self propelled mechanical paver, rolled and compacted to the required camber and gradient with 8 to 12 ton power roller and rolled to a uniform smooth surface complete all as specified and as directed. Notes :- (i) The actual binder content used shall be as per optimized content based on approved job mix formula irrespective of whatever is indicated above. (ii) Price adjustment shall be done on minus side (without considering the permissible tolerance on minus side) with reference to binder content indicated above and actual to be used in the work. (iii) Price adjustment for paving bitumen shall be done at the rate of Rs. 30,000/- per MT for any variation on minus side irrespective of actual purchase rate. However, no adjustment for variation on plus side will be made.

Preparation of black bituminous road surfaces and applying one coat of thermo plastic road marking paint minimum 2mm thick with reflectorizing glass beads at 250 to 300 grams/ Sq m applied as per IRC:35 in lines, arrow, dashes & letters not exceeding 15 cm in width with an applicator machine and heated mixer, with stirring mechanism at temperature 160 degree Celsius, laid uniformly and finishing the surface as directed to a true level, paint conforming to BS-3262 part I &II of 1989 etc, complete as per manufacturer's instructions, all as specified and directed. Make : Asian Ltd / STP Ltd /Automat Road Safety / 3M NOTE:- Colour of paint shall be as approved by GE.

Supply and fix in repairs, acrylic dual directional delineator of 100 mm dia, cube corner with high intensity reflector (signal red/ yellow / white) holded in strong ABS plastic body (protected in welded mesh cage) mounted over CRC steel tube 47 mm dia, 16 gauge sheet support of total height 750 mm having flared / welded foot for firm grip to base. All steel parts shall be powder coated for weather resistant. Vertical supporting tube shall have a plastic sheet reflector all around, including excavation in strata and embedding in plain cement concrete 1:3:6 type C2 of size 30 cm x 30 cm x 20 cm complete all as specified and as directed. Supply and fix in repairs, dual directional reflective cat eye of impact resistance ABS plastic stud 100x115mm solid state double moulded having ultra-voilet resistance colours White/yellow/red) having micro cube corner spark glow reflector white/red/yellow. Bottom rough surface for fixing to road with and including epoxy adhesive or as per manufacturer instructions complete all as specified and directed. Make: Greenlite Cat Part No 02-42 Cat Eye PL 100 x 115 (MCC) ADF or techno commerical equivalent specified n here-in-after.

Supply and fix in repairs, Solar road stud having 3 LEDs of colours red/ yellow to a side (total 6 Nos) housed in a tough pressure die casted aluminum alloy of any size (120 x 130 mm), (100x130mm) and (125x125mm) of height 20 mm with built in stem-nail 30 mmx 50 mm long for fixing with epoxy. LEDs, solar - cells, battery & light sensor well protected in side under tough unbreakable polycarbonate transparent sheet roof. System workable for 2-3 days (nights) after full charge in 8-10 hours. Supply and fix in repairs, Solar road delineator 6 LEDs of colour red/ yellow housed in aluminium/plastic body. LEDs, solar-cells, battery and light sensor well protected inside polycarbonate sheet; device protected with powder coated wire mesh cage. System mounted over 47 mm dia steel tube powder coated of length 600 mm having sheet foot for firm grip to ground. System workable for 2-3 days (nights) after full charge for 8-10 hours including excavation in any strata and embedding in PCC 1:3:6 type C-1 of size 30cmx30cmx40cm complete all as specified and directed. Demolition of cement Concrete (un-reinforced) in ground floors and pavings n exceeding 15 cm thickness (below or above ground level) and disposing of debris outside MD land complete all as specified and as directed.

Material and labour for 75 mm thick Plain Cement Concrete, (1:4:8), type D2, using 40 mm graded stone aggregates, as in hard standing/ paths laid in panels including necessary form work, finishing the surfaces of concrete rough complete all as specified and as directed.

Preparation of brick, stone, concrete, asbestos cement or plastered surfaces of any description over 10cm girth or width, not otherwise described and applying two coats of synthetic enamel paint over a coat of alkali resistant primer, complete all as specified and as directed.

Material and labour for factory made special shaped precast machine presseed kerb stone using M-25 grade concrete set in CM 1:6 including dismantling of existing kerb stone of any type/description and including necessary excavation and earthwork complete all as specified.

Material and labour for factory made, rubberized coloured (laminated) interlocking paver block of 60 mm thickness, using vibro compaction method, with topping thickness not less than 5 mm,, in white cement and non fadable glossy pigment of approved shade, shape and size. Blocks shall confirm to IS 15658-2006 M-35 Grade over and including 50 mm thick sand cushioning including dismantling old unserviceable interlocking tiles complete all as specified and as directed.
