Removing of old sulphated lime wash/white or colour wash in multhi applications without causing damage to the below stone/brick/plastered surface. Scrubbing (not by scarping which leaves surface scarred and scratched) with britle brushes and hot watere (Care to be taken if the surface is weak one it will break down). Hot water should be used if the lime wash has an oil or tallow binder Gentie cleaning with air abrasive tools can be used if the wall surface is not very week. The final clean will almost invarity have to be carried out by hand scrubbing and rinsed with clean water on completion. The work should be done under supervision of a trained conservator.
Removing white or color wash by scarpping and sand papering without causingdamage to the surface laying behind the white/colour wash area & to the surface below stone smooth inclusing necessary repairs to scarches etc. Complete.
Sterilizing treatment using Ammonium based Biocide: Masonry covered with alges, lichen, mosses, small plants etc, should be removed with knife blade, spatula and stiff bristle or soft wire brushes. Spray diluted solution (at the rate of 3 liter per 10 Sqm) of quaternary ammonium based biocide on surface of the masonry without allowing spraying drift. Leave the treated area for at least one week than brush off as much dead growth as possible. Next again spray a solution of (at the rate of 2 litter per 10 sqm) a proprietary biocide and incorporating tribute tin oxide in same manner and clean the surface etc, completed as directed by the engineer-in-charge.
Cleaning smog, black soot, etc with help of Di-ionized soap or suitable solvent
Lime punning with lime putty (unslaked lime at 5kg per 1sqm area) mixed with Gur, Bilgri, Urd and other ingredients followed by grinding to fine paste for smooth finish etc, complete as directed by the engineer-in-charge.
Plastering of the dome in lime mortar 1:1:1 (1 Lime: 1 surkh:1 coarse river sand/slag sand) of 100mm thickness
Repairing ornamental plaster works to match with the existing design using lime plaster (1lime putty:1surkhi) complete including disposal of rubbish to the dumping ground within 50m lead.
Flush / Ruled / Struck or Weathered lime pointing 1:1:1 (1 slaked lime: 1 surkhi: 1 fine river sand / slag sand) in Brickwork.
Repairing to plaster of thickness 10 mm to 30 mm in patches of area 2.5 sq meters and under, including cutting the patch in proper shape, raking out joints and preparing and plastering the surface of the walls complete, preparation of mortar by traditional practice (by hand grinder) in 3 course & loi, tamping, beating till the shrinking cracks are disappear disposal of rubbish to the dumping ground within 50 meters lead with lime mortar 1:2 (1lime: 2 surkhi)
Careful removal of existing deteriorated /damaged /weathered lime plaster without damaging the surface below it. Caution Worker have to wear helmet, safety belt and safety gloves.
Raking out the joints of country/Nankshahi brick, scooping out dead and decayed mortar very slowly and carefully with scooping rods, then washing complete with hand spray pump. Preparing the surface for replastering including disposal of rubbish within 50m lead.
Painting with synthetic enamel paint of approved brand and manufacture of required colour to give an even shade - One or more coats on old work
Providing and fixing double scaffolding system (cup lock type) on the exterior side, upto seven story hight made with 40 mm dia .M.S.tube 1.5m centre to centre, horizontal & vertical tubes joining with cup & lock system with M.S.tubes, M.S.tube challies,.S.clamps and M.S.staircase system in the scaffolding for working platform etc. and maintaining it in aserviceable condition for the required duration as approved and emoving it there after. The scaffolding system shall be stiffened with bracings, runners, connection with the building etc wherever required for inspection of work at required locations with essential safety features for the workmen etc.complete as approved. The elevational area of the scaffolding shall be measured for payment purpose. The payment will be made once irrespective of duration of scaffolding. (Note: This item to be used for maintenance work judicically, necessary deduction for scaffolding in the existing item to be done.)
Supplying and stacking of good earth at site including royality and carriage complete (earth measured in stacks will be reduced by 20% for payment)
Supplying and stacking of well decayed cow dung manure at site including carriage complete (Cow dung manure measured in stacks will reduced by 8% for payment)
Spreading of sludge, dump manure and / or good earth in required thickness (cost of sludge, dump manure and / or good earth to be paid separately)
Disposal of debries / surplus excavated earth including loading, unloading and conveyance to low lying areas within 2km lead as directed by the Engineer in charge.
