SPECIAL REPAIRS TO ROADS AND ALLIED WORKS AT CERTAIN PLACES OF AFTC JALAHALLI

Material and labour for Repair to potholes, any depth not exceeding 1 sqm each including sweeping free from dust and mud, or scoring sunken surfaces in road, paths etc, cutting around edges to at least 25mm in depth making road around by filling in screened a graded road metal, watering and well ramming(including supply of road metal) using power roller of 8-12 tonne capacity and applying evenly a priming/tack coat with bituminous primer @ 6 kg per 10sqm using paving bitumen grade VG-10 on top surface, all as specified and as directed.

Preparation of black top surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc. sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface using suitable air blowers to remove all loose dirt etc, all as specified and as directed.

M&L for applying evenly a priming/tack coat with bitumen emulsion RS-01 @ 3 Kg per 10 per Sqm on black top surfaces complete all as specified and as directed

Material and labour for bituminous premix semi dense asphaltic concrete 30mm consolidated thickness with 5.50% binder content (using bitumen grade VG-30) by weight of total mix, mixed in hot mix plant using design mix, and laid with mechanical paver and rolled and compacted using 8 to 12 tonne capacity vibratory tandom power road roller to achieve the required compactness , to required camber & gradient complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for premix bituminous macadam, (Consolidated thickness 75mm or less ) , using binder content @ 4% binder content by weight of total mix with paving bitumen VG-30 rolled and compacted to required camber & gradient using 8 to 12 tonne capacity power roller laid with mechanical paver complete all as specified and as directed.

Material and labour for scrarifying and picking gravelled, macadem or bituminous macadem surfaces in area not exceeding 400 sqm and depth not exceeding 50 mm, all as specified and as directed.

M&L for apply cold Polymer Modified emulsion (Rapid setting - PME ) mopping of total cold liquid PME@ 1 litres per Sqm (undiluted) for two coats with mineral filler as recommended by manufacturer of PME (after diluting with water), each coat diluted in the ratio 1:1 ( PME : Water ) and shall ensure uniform finish of runway/road complete all as per manufacturer instructions and all as specified and as directed.

Note :- Followings are included in quoted rate :- (i) To fill winder gaps / cracks with 0.6mm to 2.36mm size coarse sand mixed with PME as per manufacturer's instructions shall be used.. (ii) Performance guarantee certificate for two years shall be submitted by the contractor to the GE on completion of the work as specfied. (iii) Any excess of PME required at site shall be paid as supply only based on purchased rate or manufacturer's rate, whichever is less. (iv) Works shall be carried out through authorised and qualified applicators of the manufacturer with all requisite T&P, machineries, etc. as per manufacturer's instructions and as directed.

M&L for painting lines, dashes, arrows , letters, etc on bituminous / concrete surfaces and the like exceeding 10cm width with approved road marking paint, color white , Golden yellow, deep orange , PO red and black as per the requirement, including preparation of surfaces surfaces cost of materials, labours T&P cleaning the road surface of all dirt, scales, oil, grease and foreign materials etc, complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for painting lines, dashes, arrows , letters, etc on bituminous / concrete surfaces and the like not exceeding 10cm width with approved road marking paint, color white , Golden yellow, deep orange , PO red and black as per the requirement, including preparation of surfaces cost of materials, labours T&P cleaning the road surface of all dirt, scales, oil, grease and foreign materials etc, complete all as specified and directed.

Material and labour for painting 2.5mm thick road marking strips not.exceeding 10 cm width or girth for layout of centre line,dashes, rows, speed breakers, writing letters etc, with thermoplastic road marking paint (reflective) of specified shade or colour by using fully automatic thermoplastic paint applicator machine fitted with profile shoe, glass beads speser, propane tank heater and profile shoe heater oven by experienced operator on road surface incuding road marking paint spray machine as in lines, dashes letters, arrows etc complete all as specified and directed.
