Tree Transplantaion Work on Bhagat Singh Circle to NH-62 Via Jakha Nagar Road, Sumerpur

Transplantation of existing tree, having girth above 150 cm, Measured at 1.00 m above Existing ground level, including Excavation around the Existing tree, pruning of branches, treatment/protection of roots, lifting, loading and transportation For a lead of up to 2 km. unloading and placing at the Designated location; Excavation and Preparation of pits at the New location: Providing and Mixing Suitable manure, sand, fertilizer, hormones, insecticides, pesticides and bio-fertilizer, as required: planting/transplanting the tree, watering, staking and firmly securing the tree with suitable supports to prevent excessive movement, use of rope and gunny bags or other suitable material for protection of the root ball /stem, dressing and levelling of the site, disposal of surplus excavated and other waste materials from the old and new locations to the designated disposal Place, and all other incidental works necessary for successful transplantation, Complete in All respect as per the directions of the Engineer-in-Charge. The Contractor shall arrange all T&P, Machinery, equipment, labour, materials, transportations and other resources required for the work, and nothing extra shall be payable on this account. Measurement : The unit of measurement shall be each tree successful transplanted. A tree Shall be considered successful transplanted when it has been transpanted at the designated location in accordance with the specifications and is certified as such by the Engineer-in-Charge Payment Condation : (i) 55% of the accpted rate shall be payble after succesful transplantation of the tree at the designated location and certification by the Engineer-in-Charge. (ii) 35% of the accpted rate shall be payable after completion of 90 days From the date of transplantation Provided the transplanted tree is Found. (iii) The remaining 10% of the accpted rate shall be payble after successful completion Five year maintenance period provided the transplanted tree or its eligible replacement as applicable is alive and in satisfactory condition at the end of the maintenance period. (iv) The accepted rate shall be inclusive of all costs of maintenance, watering, Protection, staking, treatment and care of the transplanted tree for a period of five years from the date of transplantation. (v) If any transplanted tree dies within one year From the date of transplantation the Contractor shall. at his own cost, replace it with two healthy plants/trees of suitable species each having a minimum height (approximately 10 ft.) along with suitable tree guards/protection at locations designated by the Engineer-in-charge such replacment plantation shall be completed within the period specified by the Engineer-in-Charge. (vi) The replacement trees/plants provided under clause (v) shall be maintained by the Contractor for the remaining portion of the original five year maintenance period without any additonal payment. (vii) If any transplanted tree dies after completion of one year but before of the completion five year maintenance period the Contractor shall at his own cost, replace thee dead tree with one healthy tree/plant of suitable species having a minimum height of 3.0 m. along with suitable tree location guard/protection at designated by the Engineer-in-charge. The replacment tree/plant shall be maintained by the contractor for the remaining period of the orginal five year maintenance period without any addittional payment. (viii) in the event of death of a transplanted tree, no additional payment shall be made for its replacement , protection, maintenanace or any incidental work. irrespective of the number of replacement trees required under the above provisions. (ix) The Contractor shall take all necessary measures and adopt appropriate transplantation techniques to ensure the maximum possible survival of the transplanted trees.
