Preparing the surface of the weathering proof treatment on the Sunken Slab, by thorough cleaning using wire brush and jet of clean water to remove the layer of moss / fungi / algae / dust / loose materials etc., to expose the virgin surface, providing and applying three or more coats of fibre reinforced acrylic elastomeric waterproof coating (Brush bond roof Guard of M/s.Fosroc Chemicals India Ltd / Dr.Fixit 653 Roofseal Select of M/s.Pidilite Industries Ltd or approved equivalent), as per manufacturers specifications, over a coat of water based acrylic emulsion polymer, efflorescence resistance penetrating primer (Nitoprime AW/ Nitoprime WB of M/s.Fosroc Chemicals India Ltd, Dr Fixit 604 Prime seal of M/s.Pidilite Industries Ltd or approved equivalent), as per manufacturers specifications. The chemicals / materials shall be used as per the manufacturer’s specifications and instructions of Engineers. The rate shall also include carefully cutting and making ‘V’ shaped grooves, using mechanical hand cutters along the cracks on the surface of the walls / roof for a width of not less than 5 mm at the top and for the required depth.
