Material & labour for preparation of black top surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc, sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surfaces with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc complete all as specifed and directed.

Scarifying or picking gravelled, macadam or bituminous macadam surfaces in area n. exc 400 sqm and not exceeding 50mm deep complete all as specified and directed

M&L for applying evenly tack coat with using paving bitumen VG-10 at the rate of 5 Kg per 10 Sqm on prepared black top surfaces, complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for Premix bituminous macadam with 4% paving using bitumen VG-30 paving grade( 50 -70 penetration) bitumen binder, laid/rolled and compacted to required gradient and camber (consolidated thickness upto maximum 75 mm) complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for bituminous premixed asphaltic dense concrete 30mm consolidated thickness, using paving bitumen VG-40 with 5.5% binder content by weight of total mix spread by means of self propelled mechanical spread/paver rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient by using Tandem vibratory steel wheel static steel wheel and pneumatic tyre rollers capacity 8 to 12 tonne, complete all as specified and directed.Notes for recarpeting : (a) Preparation of mix in hot mix plant, spreading by self propelling mechanical paver and rolling and compaction by set of rollers as specified in particular specifications shall be carried out. Hot mix plant may be installed at any distance but the contractor shall be responsible for maintaining the required temperature of mix under all conditions till it is laid and compacted. Unit rate against these items shall include for carrying out the works with deployment of these machinery for which nothing extra shall be payable and no delay in completion of work shall be acceptable on this account. Notes : (i) The contractor shall quote the rate against item considering 5.5 % VG-30 bitumen content. Job Mix formula as per clause No. 505.3.3 of MORTH specification for road and bridge work (Fifth Revision) for bituminous concrete shall be got designed from NIT/CTL/Govt Engg College and shall be got approved from GE in writing well before commencement of work without any financial effect to the department. Also the bitumen content shall not be less than 5.4 % by weight of total mix as per clause 507.2.5 of MORTH specifications (Fifth Revision). (ii) The cost of materials, transportation, Job mix formula form lab and testing charges for various tests as required are included in the unit rate quoted by the contractor. (iii) Cost of Filler i.e. rock dust, hydrated lime or cement is deemed to be included in unit rate.

M&L for laying 25mm thick mastic asphalt wearing course with paving/industrial grade 885/25 bitumen with minimum 14% and maximum 17% by weight of total mix as per table 500-42 and meeting the requirement of physical properties of binder given in table 500-39, prepared by using mastic cooker and laid to required level and slope after cleaning the surface including surface finish as per clause 516.4.7 of MORTH as for providing finger grained hard stone chipping of 13.2 mm nominal size at the approximate spacing of 10cm centre to centre in both sides directions, pressed into surface when the temerature of surface is not less than 100 degree centigrade protruding 1mm to 4mm over mastic surfaces, all complete as per clause 516 of MORTH specification of road & bridge (5th revision) of 2013 latest edition and IRC :107-2013 all as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Repair to potholes any depth, not exc 1 sq m each including sweeping free from dust and mud, or water, scoring sunken surfaces in roads, paths, etc. cutting round edges to at least 25 mm in depth, making good by filling in screened & graded road metal, watering and well ramming (including supply of road metal) complete all as specified and directed.

M & L for preparing bituminous surfaces of road and marking 2.5mm thick centre lines, stop lines, dashes, arrows etc. and the like n. exc 10cm wide on roads pavements with hot applied thermo plastic road marking paint of approved colour confirming to BS 3262-1989 with special applicator machine all as per manufacturers instruction complete all as specified and directed.

Demolition of cement Concrete in ground floors and pavings n. exc 15 cm thickness (below or above ground level) and removal of debris n. exc. 50 mtr and depositing where directed at a level n. exc 1.5 mtr above starting point complete all as specified and as directed.
