Work

Earthwork in cutting or in embankment in ordinary soil excavation to be in the form of regular pit not exceeding 1/2m (20'') in depath and earthwork in embankment to be 20cm(8'') layer including ramming and dressing the surface to required levels and slopes and also including 1.5m lead. The earth form cutting to be used in making embankment or to be deposited on spoil banks with in 30m (100')distance as directed by the engineer incharge as per SI No 253.

Construction of granular sub-base by providing well graded material, spreading in uniform layers with motor grader on prepared surface, mixing by mix in place method with rotavator at OMC, and compacting with smooth wheel roller to achieve the desired density, complete as per Technical Specification Clause 401.

Providing, laying, spreading and compacting stone aggregates of specific sizes to water bound macadam specification including spreading in uniform thickness, hand packing, rolling with three wheel 80-100 kN static roller in stages to proper grade and camber, applying and brooming, stone screening/binding material to fill-up the interstices of coarse aggregate, watering and compacting to the required density Grading 2 as per Technical Specification Clause 405.

Providing and applying tack coat with (RS-1)Bitumen emulsion using bitumen distributor at the rate of 0.35 kg per sqm on the prepared bituminous surface cleaned with Hydraulic broom as per Technical Specification Clause 503.
