Providing chemical based waterproofing of modified acryllic emulsion polymer and Elastomeric water proof coating of approved product over terrace slab/ parapet/side wall etc., at all elevations including polycon based fibrous net including cleaning the surface and testing by ponding water complete using Indofil MC- 76 and Flex Coat- WP or approved equivalent as per manufacturer's specifictions as follows: 1. Remove all lose materials by wire brush and clean entire terrace completely by clean water. Use wherever required water jet (Pressure required 10 kg/Sq.cm), 2. Open all visible cracks using plaster Cutter machine / chisel in "V" shape up to crack depth. 3. Dilute Indofil binder with water in the ratio 1:4 and pour on the bare slab to be treated. This will penetrate the pores of concrete. 4. Apply Indofil binder and cement in the ratio of 1:1 based primer inside and adjacent to the cracks. 5. Fill the cracks with Indofil binder : Quartz Sand: Cement in the ratio 1:5:15 and water to be added achieves the paste consistency. 6. Apply the bond coat of Indofil binder and cement in the ratio of 1:1 to entire terrace. 7. Seal all joints such as collar joints of the drain water outlet using Indofil binder : Cement: Quartz Sand in the ratio of 1:5:15 + water for paste consistency. 8. Apply a coat of Indofil binder and Cement bond coat over above surface in the ratio of 1:1 i.e. (It is recommended that the surface can be dampen before applying 1st coat of mix of Indofil binder & cement or as per manufacturer's specifications). 9. Lay the Polycon based Fibrous waterproofing net ( Polyester Geotextile of min. 80 GSM) for entire area of terrace including lapping immediately after applying bond coat. ( To be laid immediately before drying 1st coat of Indofil binder and cement) 10. Apply one more coat of Indofil binder and cement on above fibrous net (Geo textile) in the ratio of 1:1 (can be applied within 12-18 hours of fibrous net laying). 11. To protect the polymer film and to enhance the life of coating, apply two coats of Indofil Flexcoat- WP @ 0.42 Kg/SqM for two coats minimum ( Elastomeric water proofing exterior coating) over above surface with dilution 10% weight of potable water. 12. The above treatment should be done over terrace slab of any shape, parapet, gutter, etc.,. complete as per directions of Engineer-in-charge . 13. Terrrace surface to be tested for waterproofing - 7 days by ponding water. Note: 1. The entire work shall be carried out as per manufacturer's specification and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge. The contractor shall furnish guarantee bond on appropriate stamp paper in the proforma as per Appendix "D" for the entire water proofing treatment in bone dry condition for 5 years, backed by manufacturer. During the guarantee period contractor shall attend all leakages, defects etc., if noticed, free of cost, starting the work of checking up and rectification within a week's time from the date of intimation about such leakages/defects. 2. Contractor shall maintain log book for consumption of materials.3. Cleaning of RCC Overhead tanks as per the following process:- 1. Dewatering the tank with submersible pump or with suitable arrangements, de-silting and removal of left-over dirty water up to a depth of100 to 150 mm in the bottom. 2. The sludge shall be removed by special sludge pumps. Sludge Sucker should be a part of the High Pressure System which sucks the sludge and removes the same out of Tank. 3. The walls and ceiling shall be cleaned with mechanized high pressure jet machines by rotary jet system at 100-150 Bar pressure (150 Kg /sq cm) which should dislodge the layer of dirt, algae, fungus stuck on its surface. 4. Scrubbing machines shall be used for old stains along with cleaning chemicals if required. 5. The floor of the dirty tank should be thoroughly cleaned up by jet cleaner to remove all the accumulated dirt and the remaining sludge should than be removed by sludge pumps. 6. The dirt silt and other foreign material should further be removed by Industrial Vaccum Cleaners (having Max Power of 1200 W., with suitable heavy duty rugged Motor.. The equipment must handle solid particles as well to make the floor totally dirt free. 7. Subsequently, Anti-Bacterial chemicals (NON TOXIC, BIO DEGRADABLE, ECO FRIENDLY) shall be sprayed/applied to ensure total sterilization of tank from the inside. 8. Finally, the Inside of the tank should be treated with ultraviolet Radiator to eliminate further floating bacteria/virus in order to make the tank totally clean, bacteria free and safe for storage of drinking water. All the above operations should be executed by trained workers and technicians, properly dressed along with gum boots, to work as per the direction of Engineer in charge. All safety Gadgets like Safety Belts, Special Safety Ladder, Helmets, Heavy Duty Gum Boots, Electric Safety Gloves and Special Working Gloves, Safety Goggles, Masks, Aprons, ventilator fans shall be used for safety reasons. All works shall be carried out as per the directions of the EIC complete. (Note : 1. The quoted rate shall include the cost of obtaining water connections for cleaning, drain lines,storage and Cleaning equipments like Scrubbers/Wipers, Storage drums, Sludge Collectors and Cisterns, and all tools tackles and other equipment’s including safe & proper disposal of sludge and waste water. 2.) Rate shall include cost of writing date of cleaning with paint using stencils after removing the old date(if any) by painting., all complete

(2)Deployment: The contractor shall deploy one Technician for each job as single day work , for 6 working days per week for minimum 8 ½ hours per day with 30 minutes of break, in General (Ist / IInd) or on Round the clock shift including Saturdays, Sundays & holidays whenever necessary as per the discretion of the Engineer-in-Charge during the contract period. In case of emergency works like continuous pouring of concrete or shutdown/maintainance work, the person will have to stay longer occasionally as per the instruction of the Engineer in-charge. No additional payment will be made on this account. (3)The contractor shall carry out number of jobs per day as per requirement at site. (4) Mode of measurement : Measurement will be per job basis. A single job shall be carried out by deploying one Technician exclusively for the particular job. (5) Technician should be engagde after scrutiny of BARC Engineers/Engineer-in-charge and approved by Competent authority and the deployed technician will report to Engineer/ Engineer-in-charge .
