M&L for locating fault / testing of LT UG Cable of any size with the help of cable fault locating machine including taking shut down and opening the cable from both side of Bus Bar Panel /LT Panel / MCCB / ACB/ Transformer etc. and re-terminating the same cable in the same Bus Bar Panel / LT Panel / MCCB / ACB etc. according to existing system after pinpointing of fault location with and including necessary excavation & earth work and taking out of faulty cable for repair/ replacement of joint, relaying of cable, cable cover refilling of soil and removal of surplus soil etc. at site complete all as directed by Engr-in-Charge. Note:- (i) The joint shall be measured and paid separately under relevant item. The quantities of item will be executed at different times during currency of contract as directed by Engr-in-Charge. Hence, contractor shall quote his rate accordingly for arranging fault locating machine and executing the items accordingly. (ii) Fault should be detected and rectified within 08 hrs from intimation (with any means) to contractor. If contractor fails to detect & rectify the fault within 08 Hrs, a penalty after 08 Hrs will be imposed on contractor at the rate of Rs. 500 per hour. (iii) Fault locating machine shall be arranged by the contractor at his own cost and cost of same shall be deemed to be included in unit quoted rates.

S&F in replacement of heat shrinkable Straight through jointing kit suitable for LT 1.1 KV XLPE cables of 25 to 50 Sqmm size, 3.5 core including with all accessories required, complete all as specified and directed.

S&F in replacement of heat shrinkable Straight through jointing kit suitable for LT 1.1 KV XLPE cables 70 to 150 Sqmm 3.5 core including all accessories required, complete all as specified and directed.

S&F in replacement of heat shrinkable Straight through jointing kit suitable for LT 1.1 KV XLPE cables 185 to 240 Sqmm 3.5 core including all accessories required, complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for earthing complete with galvanised steel earth plate electrode 60cmx60cmx6mm thickness buried directly in ground (earth pit not less than 2.25 meters deep below ground level) with top edge of the plate not less than 1.5 meters below normal ground level, connected to galvanised earth strip 25x4 mm as earthing strip by means of GI bolts, nuts, check nuts and washers including surrounded on all sides by 15cm thick layer of charcoal dust, salt, including earth strip protected by 40mm dia GI light grade pipe, PCC pit of 1:2:4 & reinforced PCC top cover 50mm thick, earth pit angle frame of size 25mmx25mmx3mm including with excavation and earth work in any type of soil, light grade GI watering pipe 20mm dia with funnel and wire-mesh complete all to as shown in electrical plate no 3 of SSR Part I 2009 connected main switch board or as required at site complete all as specified and testing on completion. Note:- (a) The rate quoted shall include the cost of GI strip & GI protection pipe light 40mm dia bore light grade upto 7.5 metres. PCC Chamber shall be constructed at least 0.50 mtr away from on the earth pit electrode and pipe for watering shall be provided in slanting manner. (b) Value of earth resistance should be less than 1 Ohms for equipments earthing and less than 5 ohms for LA & Power Supply earthings.

S & F 25 mm x 3 mm aluminum strip as earth continuity conductor complete all as specified & directed by Engineer-in-charge.

S&F in repairs of earth chambers by demolishing of unserviceable earth chambers and construction of new chambers with PCC 1:3:6 type C-1 as in bed and chamber RCC 1:2:4 type B-1 of size 450X450X450mm and thickness shall be 120mm including with RCC 1:2:4 type B-1 as in top cover 50mm thick, reinforced with 8mm dia bars @ 100mm C/C both ways and necessary hinges to be provided, complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge

M&L for test point terminal box made of gun metal or phosphorous bronze, of size 75x75x25 mm drilled and screwd including 3 Nos. 8 mm dia 25 mm long hexagonal head screw including removing the existing unserviceable test point complete all as specified and directed.

M & L for recharging of normal earth pits by excavating the earth at a radius of 600mm from the centre of earth pit and up to a depth of 900mm after removing the earth chambers and accessories carefully and keeping aside for re-use including adding and spreading chemicals i.e with and including Charcoal 10 kg & Salt 10 kg in 75mm layers each up to ground level and watering, re-fixing the earth chambers & accessories after allowing the soil to settle down complete all as directed by Engr-in charge.

M&L for testing of existing earthing resistance with suitable digital earth tester and recording the readings obtained and making the earthing good by pouring the salt water in a requisite quantities complete all as directed by Engr-in-Charge. Note :- Value of earth resistance should be less than 1 Ohms for equipments earthing and less than 5 ohms for LA & Power Supply earthings. A register will be maintained by the contractor for building / establishment / section wise (for Equipment earthing, LA, Power etc.) duly obtaining the signature of the users.
