SCHEDULE 'A' PART-I (NEW DISPERSAL RIGID PAVEMENT WORK, WIDENING OF ROAD WORK AND HARDSTANDING FOR VEH PARKING)
Demolition of unreinforced cement concrete or pavement quality concrete (PQC) of any description and in any position not otherwise specifically provided for complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.
Rolling and consolidating formation surface using power roller 8 ton and n.exc 12 ton including watering consolidating to a required gradient and camber complete all as specified and as directed to achive 98% of Moisitue dry density (MDD) complete all as specified. Note : Compacted formation surface shall be tested to obtain Maximum Dry density as 98% at OMC as well as Mod of Subgrade Reaction (K Value) shall be checked by Plate Load Test at multiple locations.
Laying and compacting 300 mm thick (compacted thickness) Granular Sub Base Course (GSB) grading as per Grade V as specified in Table 400-1 of MoRTH specifications for Road and Bridge works, 2013, in two layers 150 mm thick each over compacted subgrade with natural sand, crushed gravel, crushed stone, crushed slag or combination thereof as per the grading required. The materials are mechanically mixed, spread and leveling on the subgrade by using motor grader of adequate capacity, and rolling with vibratory roller of capacity 80-100 KN static weight for achieving equired compaction density of atleast 98% of the Maximum Dry Density. Consolidating to required gradient and camber complete all as specified and directed with finished surface tolerances as per Table 900-1 of MoRTH specifications for Road and Bridge works, 2013.
Laying and compacting 225 mm thick (compacted thickness) Wet Mix Macadam (WMM) laid in three layers of 75 mm each, grading as pe table 400-13 of MoRTH specifications for Road and Bridge works 2013 manufactured in WMM plant, material comprising of clean, crushed, graded aggregate and granular material premixed with water to a dense mass, spreading with sensor paver and rolling with vibratory roller of capacity 80-100KN static weight and consolidating to required gradient and camber complete all as specified and directed. The finished surface tolerances to be as per Table 900-1 of MoRTH specifications for Road and Bridge works 2013
Providing and Laying Dry lean Concrete (DLC) 150 mm thick of aggregate gradation as per Table 1 of SP 49:2014 having 7 day average compressive strength not less than 7 MPa. Minimum cement content shall not be less than 140 Kg/Cum DLC mixed in batching Plant, transported to site and laid by electronic sensor paver including spreading and compacting using high amplitude tamping bars of paver (initial compaction) further by double drum smooth wheeled vibratory rollers with 80-100 KN static weight to achieve minimum dry density not less than 98% of maximum dry density, necessary finishing etc complete all as specified and tolerances shall be as per Table 900-1 of MoRTH specifications for Road and Bridge work 2013
Material and labour for 10 mm thick fine sand cushion with clean river sand duly clear of residual, organic and deleterious materials spread evenly to uniform thickness laid over DLC layer as specified and directed.
Supplying and laying 400 micron thick HDPE sheet (Fully transparent, Virgin Quality) water proof, wrinkle free without puncture having minimum weight 390 gm/Sqm over sand cushion as specified in the design with overlap between adjacent strips and at transverse joints as minimum 300 mm complete all as specified and as directed. NOTE: (1) No additionaI amount shall be paid for overlap. (2) The HDPE sheet shall not be of recycled plastic under any circumstances.
Pavement quality concrete(PQC) 400 mm thick of minimum 28 days field Flexural strength of 45Kg/ Sqcm or 4.5 Mpa, aggregate gradation as per Table 3 of IRC 15 2017, coarse aggregate of clean , hard strong, dense non-porous and durable pieces of crushed stone or gravel, fine aggregates of clean natural sand or crushed stone sand or combination of both using minimum 360 Kg/Cum of cement with non-circular virgin synthetic fibre of 12-18 mm length, specific gravity 1.34 to 1.39, UV stable, alkali resistant, with equivalent dia 15-40 micron @ 0.06 to 0.30 % by volume in controlled cement (as directed by GE based on manufacturer' specifications and design parameters), minimum melting temperature as 250°C and minimum tensile strength of 300 Mpa and at the rate as specified by the manufacturer. PQC laid, spread and compacted with slip-form paver of minimum 7.50 m width, including curing and tining by Texturing cum Curing Machine complete all as specified and directed. Required surface texturing shall be done as specified in Clause 10.1.14 & table 9 of IRC-15-2017 all as specified and directed
Notes: - (a) Flexural strength shall be established by beam test and design mix formula should be compatible to IRC-44-2017, IS-456. (b) The non circular fibre synthetic reinforcement mixed with concrete shall be measured and paid separately as ‘Supply only’ under respective item of BOQ. (c) All types of joints shall be measured and paid separately under respective items of BOQ. (d) No deduction shall be made from concrete for space occupied by construction and dummy joint. However, deduction shall be made for the space occupied by expansion joints. (e) Cost of any admixtures required to achieve the desired properties of concrete shall be deemed to be included in the unit rate quoted for PQC and nothing extra shall be paid on this account.
(f) No price adjustment shall be applicable if excess quantity of Ordinary Portland Cement grade 43 content used in the work as approved in the Design Mix exceeds 360 Kg per Cum. (g) The rate quoted shall be inclusive of use and waste of form work for total thickness. (h) Blank (j) Surface shall be finished by traverse brooming of maximum 1.5 mm deep as per ICAO or as per requirement of Air Force Authority. Brooming shall be done through auto texturing machine and rate is included in over all quoted rate against this item. (k) Ordinary Portland Cement grade 43 only shall be used. (l) Defect liability period of PQC and whole work under this contract is three years from the certified date of completion of whole project.
Supply only polyester made non circular fibres with cut length between 12-18 mm having tensile strength 300 MPa, melting temperature minimum 250 degree Celsius having specific gravity 1.34 to 1.39 with equivalent fibre diameter 15-40 micron @ 0.06 to 0.30 percent by volume in controlled cement concrete complete as specified and directed and as discribed in relevant PS Clause. NOTE: The quantity of non circular fibre mentioned as @ 0.06 to 0.30 percent above may vary as per site requirement and/or desiqn mix and/or as per any other test mandatory for runway work and measured and paid accordingly.
Material and labour for cutting of construction joints 25 mm deep and 10 mm wide by early entry saw cut using diamond bit cutter of appropriate size, straight and smooth edges. Joint cleaned thoroughly with application of compressed air. Joint shall be made dry, vacuum cleaned and free of dirt, oil , vegetation and othe debris. Application of two coats of primer with thin brush by forward and backward movement at an interval of 30 minutes before placing the backup rod and pouring the sealant. Placing of closed cell medium density, crossed linked polyethylene foam backup rod of 12 mm dia, application of bond breaker tape on top of back up rod for complete width of the joint and filled with polyurethane based sealant complying with BS-5212, BS 4254 and EN- 141875- 2003 with minimum movement accommodation factor (MAF) of + 30% having minimum 10 year performance guarantee, applying masked tape on the edges of joints and removing the masking tape after filling of sealant as per the method specified by the manufacturer complete as specified and directed
Material and labour for forming dummy joint in slab of thickness 400 mm with an initial saw cut of 3 mm soon after the concrete has set, upto a depth of 135mm thick, widening the first saw cut to 8 mm and 24 mm deep by using diamond bit cutter of appropriate size, straight and smooth edges Joint cleaned thoroughly with application of compressed air. Joint shall be made dry, vacuum cleaned and free of dirt, oil vegetation and other debris. Application of two coats of primer with thin brush by forward and backward movement at an interval of 30 minutes before placing the backup rod and pouring the sealant. Placing of closed cell , medium density, crossed linked polyethylene foam backup rod of 10 mm dia, application of bond breaker tape on top of back up rod for complete width of the joint and filled with polyurethane based sealant complying with BS- 5212 , BS 4254 and EN-141875-2003 priming the sides with minimum movement accommodation factor (MAF) OF +/- 30% having minimum 10 year performance guarantee, applying masked tape on the edges of joints to prevent accidental spillage of sealant on top surface to give neat finish to sealant and removing the masking tape after filling of sealant by mechnical means and as per the method specified by the manufacturer complete as specified and as directed.
Forming 25 mm width expansion joint in concrete slab 400 mm thick for full depth of PQC. Early entry saw and subsequent cutting by using diamond bit cutter of appropriate size, straight and smooth edges. Joint cleaned thoroughly with application of compressed air. The joint then filled with pre-molded 25 mm thick compressible polyethylene closed cell type filler board as specified, thereafter application of two coats of primer with thin brush by forward and backward movement at an interval of 30 minutes before placing the backup rod and pouring the sealant. Placing of closed cell medium density, crossed linked polyethylene foam backup rod of 30 mm dia, over filler board and filled with polyurethane based sealant complying with BS- 5212, BS 4254 and EN-141875-2003 with minimum movement accommodation factor (MAF) of +/- 30% having minimum 10 year performance guarantee applying masked tape on the edges of joints and removing the masking tape after filling of sealant as per the method specified by the manufacturer complete as specified and directed .
Material and labour for preparation of new surfaces on Dispersal & Links (painting lines, dashes, arrows, threshold, touchdown point, designation letters etc) of pavements with compressed air blower 50 to 90 PSI by removing and cleaning with scraper sand over a primer coat over applying two coats of water based (water thinable) acrylic road marking paint (Black/white/golden yellow/Orange) of approved shade and pattern with black colour, border strips on either sides of other colours marking, complete all as specified and directed. Note :-(i) The Black strips on either side of other colour paint line, arrows letter, dashes shall be measured combined width wise for the purpose of calculating the area of painting. (ii) Rate quoted shall be deemed to be inclusive of supply and fixing of masking tape to protect pavement surface for spilled out of paint and removal & disposal of the same from MOD land.

Material and labour for applying evenly a priming coat with Cationic Bitumen Emulsion SS-1 at 10 Kg per 10 Sqm over WMM surfaces all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.
Material and labour for 50 mm thick (compacted thickness) Dense bituminous, macadam using VG-30 as binder with binder content @ 4.00% minimum, laid/rolled and compacted to required gradient and consolidated to required camber and gradient using power roller of capacity exceeding 8 tonne but not exceeding 12 tonne complete all as specified and as directed.
Material and labour for applying evenly a tack coat with bituminous primer at 5 Kg per 10 Sqm with paving bitumen VG-10 over new and existing surfaces of bituminous macadum surfaces complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.
Material and labour for Preimix Bituminous concrete, 40 mm consolidated thickness with 5.4% binder content by weight of total mix and crushed aggregate of grading 2 rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient complete, binder content paving bitumen VG 30 all as per clause 507 of MoRTH (5 th Rev) specification and as specified and directed. Note: -(i) The contractor shall quote rate against item considering 5.4 % VG -30 bitumen content > Job mix formula as per clause No. 505.3.3 of MORTH for BC shall be worked out from any Govt. agency for obtaining binder content by contractor without any financial effect to the Deptt. and same be submitteds to GE for approval. Any variation on plus or minus side in binder content shall be adjusted at SSR rate as supply only. (ii) cost of filler i.e cement (OPC) is deemed to be included in quoted rates. (iii) after spreading of mix as per clause 505.47entire surface during the operaion shall be rolled with road roller 8-10 tonne followed by vibratory roller of 8-10 tonne static weight, followed by finished rolling with 6-8 tonne smooth roller as per clause 507.4.8 and the cost is deemed to be included in quoted unit rate.
Material and labour for plain cement concrete 1:2:4 type B-1 (using 20 mm graded crushed stone aggregates) as in kerb stones and the like complete with joints to match complete all as specified and as directed.
Material and labour for 100mm thick plain cement concrete 1:2:4 type B-1 (using 20 mm graded crushed stone aggregates) as in floors including finishing the surfaces even and fair complete all as specified and as directed.

Supply, Installation, testing and commissioning of C.I. Isolating transformer housing box, water tight round type, metal container of outside size 330mm height 450mm, made of 10 mm thick cast iron moulding all round, except the top surface, top surface shall be 15 mm thick, cast iron suitable to receive a light base plate on the top and underground housing associated with transformer power cable and having a clear hole at three sides surface centre 75mm above bottom surface suitable to receive of 63mm dia (outer dia) HDPE/G.I pipe and including check nuts as required and another hole at 175 mm from the bottom of the CI box to receive one No. 15 mm dia, "B" class, GI pipe and check nut as required. (b) Signage board: - Retro reflective sheeting class C, 3m Diamond Grade 3 (DG3) conforming to ASTMD 4956.09 type -XI with pressure sensitive adhesive fixed to polycarbonate signage sheet and frame as per manufacturer's instruction. Size and shape of signs/numbers/indications & letters etc, complete all as specified and directed. (c) Signage board fixing :-PCC 1:2:4 Type B-2 using 40 mm graded crushed stone aggregate in pit of size 45 x 45 x 60 cm & including excavation/earthwork in any type of soil , returning filling and removal of surplus soil etc, out side runway/links complete all as specified and directed.
Supply and fixing of 6mm thick MS base plate including gas kit and m10 size bolt/6 nos suitable to fit in existing housing box all as specified and directed.
Supply and laying in trenches 8SWG GI wire including termination with thimble complete all as specified and directed.
Earthing complete with galvanised steel earth plate electrode 60 cm x 60 cm x 6.0mm thick buried directly in ground, (Earth pit not less than 2.25 mtr deep below ground level) with top edge of plate not less than 1.5 mtr below normal ground level, connected to and including 25 x 4 mm galvanised earth strip by means of bolts, nuts, check nuts and washers of galvanised standard iron or steel all as specified or indicated in electrical plate no 3 of MES Part-I, including testing on completion including the material and labour of the following : (a) Excavation and earth work or drilling hole for electrode in any type of soil. (b) PCC pit in cement concrete 1:2:4 type B-1. (c) Precast RCC cover with suitable handle 40 mm thick in PCC 1:2:4 type B-1, reinforced with welded steel wire fabric weighing not less than 1.87 Kg/Sqm (d) Funnel with watering pipe of GI 20 mm nominal bore medium grade and copper lugs etc all as specified. (e) 40 mm nominal bore light grade GI protection pipe 5 mtr long for protection of earthing lead from mechanical injury or tempering. (f) Requisite quantity of common salt and charcoal. (g) Testing of earthing. Note : (a) On testing after completion of earthing, if the desired earth resistance is not lees tha 5 Ohm obtained, the earthing will be re-done by the contractor at his own risk and cost to the entire satisfaction of the Engineer-in-Charge.
