Design, Supply, Installation, Testing and Commissioning of Retractable Roof Shed for Blasting and Painting Chamber at Module Shop, South Yard, MDL, Mumbai.

Removing existing rails: Removing existing rail system from panels 1 and 6 without any damage to the panels. Lowering and Stacking the rails at designated location. Grinding the surface of panels 1 and 6 post removal of rails for installation of new rails.

Rigging and Dismantling of existing roof panels: Lowering of existing steel panels of size 20m x 5m (~15MT each) from height of 18-20M above ground level without damaging existing column, beam and retained panels. Dismantling including dismembering and stacking within 50 metres lead. All lifting tools and tackles in vendor scope and should have valid safe working load (SWL) capacity certificates issued by Government approved industrial inspection authority.

Providing and Laying rails for roof panels: Providing and laying rails as per approved design and suitable for wheels of the new panels on top of existing/new roof panels including providing and fixing cleats every 600mm c/c on both sides of rail, M.S. stopper of size 50x50x12 mm thick and packing plate wherever required. Rails are to be installed in proper line, level and alignment as per relevant code standards and drawings and welding cleats, steel stoppers. Painting shall be one coat of epoxy primer with 25micron DFT and 02 coat of finish epoxy paint 50 micron etc. complete as directed.

Fabrication and Supply of Roof Panels Supply of prefabricated steel structure of roof panels as per the approved drawing, including detailing, fabricating using M.S. structural open web/hollow tubular steel sections/plates conforming to IS 2062/IS 4923/IS 1239, transporting to site including provision of necessary erection bolts, fixing bolts, nuts, washers (all fasteners to be galvanized as per relevant IS code), cleats, stiffeners, gussets, baseplate, and all necessary fixtures and operations like preheating as per specifications, straightening, bending, cutting, drilling, grinding, machining if specified, welding, grinding and removing the welding burr and preparing surface for painting by abrasive blasting to SA 2.5 standards , including providing and applying paint to 265 microns as detailed in scope of work. (The qty. for gusset plates, base plates, bolts etc. shall be measured in M.T.). Complete work to be done by IRS/AWS qualified welders under stage wise Inspection as per approved QAP including non-destructive testing (NDT) of welded joints with DP/MPI/Radiography. Pre-Fabrication work and painting of the same shall be done strictly at vendor workshop only. All pre-fabricated material to be transported and unloaded at MDL. Loading, Unloading, Over Dimensional Transport (ODC) and statutory permissions required for the same will be in the scope of vendor. Roof Panel Size: 20m x 5m

Assembly and Erection of new roof panels Assembly of pre-fabricated panels at MDL yard, erecting & fixing in position complete roof panels of size 20m x 5m at height of 18-20m above ground level as directed, at all heights & at all levels including all necessary fixtures/fastenings and operations to complete the work in all respect. All lifting tools and tackles in vendor scope and should have valid safe working load (SWL) capacity certificates issued by Government approved industrial inspection authority.

Rebate Item: Credit item for scrap value of old roof panels Taking away the dismantled scrap material of various steel structural parts and fixtures of old roof panels etc. on "As and Where is" basis including cost of all labours, tools & tackles and machineries required for loading unloading, transportation and making the suitable for weighment purpose etc. complete as directed by engineer-in charge.
