REPAIR, CLEANING AND MAINT OF SEWAGE LINES, MANHOLE, SEPTIC TANK AND MISC REPAIR WORK AT ZONE A, ZONE B AND KP QTRS AREA OF SEVOKE ROAD MIL STN UNDER GE SEVOKE ROAD

De-sludging, Cleaning and dewatering of sludge(solid/liquid) from septic tank/manholes through pumping set or other mechanical means including cleaning of sludge/grass/bushes and disposing off sludge to a distance not exc 100m in the excavated pit of appropriate size as directed by Engineer-in-Charge including spreading bleaching powder and filling of pit by earth complete as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Note :- (i) Earth to be filled over the pit shall be filled after sufficient absorption of liquid and size of pit shall be made accordingly. (ii) To avoid any health hazard or spreading of any foul gas, bleaching powder shall be spreaded as directed by the Engineer-in-charge. Cost of spreading bleaching powder and excavating the earth pit and filling of earth etc shall be deemed to be included in the rate quoted under this item.

Removal of blockage between WC and nahani/floor trap or WC and inspection chamber manually or by flexible rodding including flushing with water or pumping air, removal of sludge and other foreign materials as described in item No. 1 above complete all as directed. Note :- (i) In case the blockage reoccurs within 7 days of cleaning the same shall be removed again without any extra cost. (ii) If the contractor fails to clear the blockage within 24 hours of intimation, a penalty of Rs. 100.00 per day shall be recovered from the bill as and when due.

Cleaning of sewage drain pipe of stone ware pipe, RCC Hume pipe , cast iron pipe upto 200 mm bore by rodding with sectional sewer rod/flexible sewer rod/bucket etc thoroughly from inspection chamber to man hole or from one manhole to another manhole of any depth and size and well flushing with water after cleaning including removal of sludge and other materials obtained from cleaning the drain pipe and manhole garbage to a pit made for this purpose and filling up the earth complete as specified and as directed. Note :-(i) Cleaning of sewage line to be started from down stream side in this operation for which some pipe line gets cleaned automatically which needs to be cleaned by rodding only and hence the same shall not be measured (ii) The unit rate of the items shall be deemed to be included for the cost of removal of sludge/waste and water accumulated in manhole/inspection chamber due to cleaning of drain by rodding etc. (iii) The sludge obtained shall be deposited in an excavated pit and filled up with earth in layers of 30cm thick as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Cost of spreading bleaching powder and excavating the earth pit and filling of earth etc. shall be included in the rate quoted under this item. (iv) To avoid any health hazard or spreading of any foul gas bleaching powder shall be spread over each earth layers as directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Cleaning of WC, urinal, gully/floor trap and inspection chamber manually or by rodding including flushing with water or pumping air, removal of sludge and other foreign materials as described in item No. 1 above complete all as directed.

Cleaning of manhole any size and any depth manually or by rodding including flushing with water , removal of sludge and other foreign materials as described in item No. 1 above complete all as directed.

Excavation in trenches n.exc 1.5 m wide and n.exc 1.5m depth for for foundations, pipes, manholes, etc etc, or for shafts, wells, cesspits, manholes, pier holes, etc and not exceeding 10 square meter on plan for manholes etc and getting out in soft/loose soil complete as specified and as directed.

Returning, filling in foundation including spreading levelling, watering and well ramming in layers not exceeding 25 cm depth complete as specified and as directed.

Removal of surplus soil to a distance not exceeding 60m and depositing where directed at a level n.exc 1.5m above the starting point complete as specified and as directed.

Demolition and breaking up drain pipes 300 mm (Salt glazed stone ware, AC or reinforced concrete) set in cement mortar and removing from site of work to a distance n.exc 100 meter complete as specified and as directed.
