REPAIR TO ROOF TREATEMENT, SUNKEN TREATMENT AND ALLIED WORKS TO VARIOUS BLDGS AT HQTC BANGALORE

Demolition of unreinforced concrete as in roofs, floors (other than ground floors), beams, staircases, landing, chajjas and similar suspended work complete all as specified and directed. Notes:- All debris and rubbish shall be removed from MoD land during or at the end of each working period at his risk and cost in accordance with all applicable federal, state and local regulations.

M&L Plain cement concrete 1:2:4, type B1 (20mm graded stone aggregate) as in padding over roof, roof kerbs or mud stops, rounded or chamfered on edges complete all as specified and directed.

M&L 40mm thick Plain Cement concrete type B-1, 1:2:4 (20mm graded stone aggregate) complete all as specified and directed.

Taking down old damaged existing water proofing membrane of any thickness from roof top complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for Rendering 10mm thick cement plaster in cement mortar 1:3, mixed with liquid water proofing compound on fair faces of brick work or concrete surfaces or roof surfaces, finished even and smooth without using extra cement complete all as specified and directed. Note: Liquid WPC shall be measured and paid separately.

M&L for Water proofing treatment on horizontal or vertical surfaces by applying bitumen primer @ 0.20 Kg/Sqm and providing 4 mm thick APP modified water proofing membrane weighing not less than 4 Kg/Sqm reinforced with non-woven polyester matt weighing not less than 160 gm/sqm including minimum 10 cm side lap and 15 cm end lap torch sealed and bonded and applying a coat of blown grade hot bitumen 90/15 over and below the membrane @ 1.20 Kg/Sqm in drying over the membrane finished with solar reflective bituminous aluminium paint/primer @ 0.1 Kg/Sqm over RCC roof slab/ projection/ parapet after cleaning the surfaces by removing dust dirt etc as manufactures instructions complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for applying a coat of blown industrial bitumen of grade 85/25 or 90/15 applied hot to concrete, wall surfaces @ 1.2Kg/Sqm or as required including cleaning the surfaces complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for digging out roots of bushes, small trees, grass of any dia & girth from inaccessible roof projection, chajjas, wall junction, parapet etc up to roof top of 1st floor and applying herbicide 2,4-Dichlorophenoxyacetic acid including necessay demolition of brick work/ stone masonary/ conrete/ RCC wall or slab etc and filling holes and levelled with cement concrete B-0, 1:2:4 (12.5mm graded stone aggregate) and necessary rendering of cement mortar 1:4 after applying damp proof epoxy based primer and matched with existing surfaces complete all as specified and directed. Note: Rates quoted are inclusive of necessary scafolding.

Sunken Waterproofing Surface Preparation :Taking out/ down old existing sunken slab treatment and cleaning the old RCC surfaces of sunken /lowered portion of slab surface for full depth of sunken floor by wire brush or chisel out any mortar sticking the surface all as specified and directed including cleaning and preparation of the substrate to receive Fosroc Polyurea water proofing system or equivalent product of Asian paints, M/S MC Bauchemic /CIPY/SIKA/Pidilite Dr Fixit/ Thermax/ STP shall be a sound base free from any oil, grease, rust, or deleterious material which may impair adhesion. The surface preparation shall be carried out mechanically to remove contaminants, laitance & weak concrete, to expose blow holes, and to produce a sound concrete with adequate profile and porosity. Any crack shall be treated with cementitious repair mortar of Fosroc Renderoc CS or epoxy crack filling mortar or equivalent product by proper grooving arrangement complete all as specified and directed.

Bore Packing (for Reinstallation) : Preparing the inside surface of core and PVC by roughening using suitable file to get better adhesion prior to packing works. Cleaning the surface by wire brushing followed water jet to remove any laitance or loose flaky particles. Providing necessary formwork for packing the bore using suitable arrangement (depending upon site conditions). Applying a coat of styrenebutadiene based polymer coating using Nitobond SBR or equivalent product of Asian paints, M/S MC Bauchemic /CIPY/SIKA/Pidilite Dr Fixit/ Thermax/ STP admixed with integral WPC or cementitious crystalline waterproofing compound to enhance adhesion between the packing material and other surfaces. Packing the gap using nonshrink cement polymer-based grout using conbextra GP2 upto the surface of the bore whilst the Nitobond SBR is in tacky state. The above analysis is based on assumption for 150mm diameter core with 110mm diameter PVC for 5”thick slab only. Typical Properties Compressive strength at 28day as per BS 1881 45N/mm2, completely as per the manufacturer’s Instruction complete all as specified and directed.
