REPAIRS TO CERTAIN ROADS AND APPROACH ROAD AT NAD VAJRAKOSH NCHC AMDALLI AT NAVAL BASE KARWAR UNDER GE SB KARWAR

M&L for repairs to pot holes not exceeding 1 sqm each including sweeping free from dust and mud or water, scoring sunken surface in roads, paths etc cutting around edges to atleast 25 mm in depth making good by applying tack coat with bituminous primer at 5Kg/Ten Sqm putting in premixed bituminous macadam well rammed and sealed with binder 9.8Kg/Ten Sqm binded with 0.09 Cum of stone chipping 6.3 mm size and again well rammed (including supply of premixed macadam binder and chippings) depth of pot holes exc. 30 mm complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for preparing existing old black top surface by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L applying evenly a priming / tack coat with bituminous primer @ at 5 Kg per 10 sqm using paving bitumen over black top surfaces complete all as specified and as directed.

M & L for premix semi dense bituminous asphaltic concrete 40 mm thick (consolidated thickness) using graded crushed stone chipping as specified and paving bitumen binder VG 30,5.5% by weight of total mix (the exact quantity of binder shall be determined by design mix by marshal method) including loading of aggregate in hot mix plant 20 to 40 TPH transporting the mixed material with tipper and laying with mechanical paver finisher 30 to 40 TPH to the required level and gradient, rolling with power roller as specified and compacted to required camber and gradient etc complete all as specified and as directed.

M & L for premix semi dense bituminous asphaltic concrete 30 mm thick (consolidated thickness) using graded crushed stone chipping as specified and paving bitumen binder VG 30 , 5.5% by weight of total mix (the exact quantity of binder shall be determined by design mix by marshal method) including loading of aggregate in hot mix plant 20 to 40 TPH transporting the mixed material with tipper and laying with mechanical paver finisher 30 to 40 TPH to the required level and gradient, rolling with power roller as specified and compacted to required camber and gradient etc complete all as specified and as directed. Notes for Item Nos.4 & 5:- (i) Contractor shall submit the authenticated weigh batch receipt as per load material in site duly marked vehicle number (ii) In case of quantity of binder as per job mix formula works out to be more the 5.5 % of weight of total mix extra quantity shall be provided by contractor without any extra cost to the Government.

Fixing only reflective road cat eyes (SSSC-141) of size (100 X 100 X 15) mm with required adhesive /screws etc complete all as per ASTM & IRC specification specified and as directed. Note: (i) Cat eye shall be issued under schedule 'B' free for fixing by the department & Contractor will collect the cat eye from storeyard of GE (SB) Karwar .The rate of transportation & loading /unloading of cat eye is deemed to be included under quoted rate.

Fixing only aluminium square road studs (SSSC-111) of size (100 X 100 X 20) mm with required adhesive /screws etc complete all as per ASTM & IRC specification specified and as directed. Note: (i) Road stud shall be issued under schedule 'B' free for fixing by the department & Contractor will collect the road stud from storeyard of GE (SB) Karwar .The rate of transportation & loading /unloading of road stud is deemed to be included under quoted rate.

M&L for painting 2mm thick of thermoplast fluorescent paint colour white or golden yellow or any other shade confirming to BS 3262 with 20% glass beads (inter mixed) applied hot with automatic (commercial) machine drive in strips after preparation of surfaces as per manufactures instructions and according to the specifications laid down by IRC and MOST (Ministry of surface transport)- Specifications 2001 (4th revision), making lines, broken lines/dashes, arrows etc. on roads and other like surfaces exceeding 10cm but not exceeding 20cm in width or girth, complete all as specified and as directed.

Fixing only MS fixed type delineator (LED-RSP-12 ) of size 80 mm dia ,MS pipe of length with jali embedded with complete all as per ASTM & IRC specification specified and as directed. Note:- (i) Delineator shall be issued under schedule 'B' free for fixing by the department & Contractor will collect the delineator from storeyard of GE (SB) Karwar .The rate of transportation & loading /unloading of delineator is deemed to be included under quoted rate.

Fixing only PVC portable speed bumps (Model -5Z4PSB) of size (500 X 340 X 50 mm) fixed with nuts & bolts /adhesive (min 08 no bolts/RM) concrete complete all as per ASTM & IRC specification specified and as directed. Note:- (i) Speed bumps shall be issued under schedule 'B' free for fixing by the department & Contractor will collect the speed bumps from storeyard of GE (SB) Karwar .The rate of transportation & loading /unloading of speed bumps is deemed to be included under quoted rate.

Fixing only mirror circular convex type with high quality acrylic or polycarbonate (Scratch resistant and unbreakable) mirror security mirror fitted on ground on block of size 30cm x 30cm x 45cm PCC (1:3:6) using 20mm graded stone aggregate with and including MS pipe 65mm dia (Approx 1.8m long) with MS clamp powder coated anti rust, including necessary excavation and earth work and removal of spoils at a distance n.exc 50m away and complete all as per ASTM & IRC specification specified and as directed. Note:- (i) Mirror shall be issued under schedule 'B' free for fixing by the department & Contractor will collect the mirror from storeyard of GE (SB) Karwar .The rate of transportation & loading /unloading of mirror is deemed to be included under quoted rate.

M & L for premix bituminous macadam (75mm consolidated thickness or less) using binder content 4% by weight of total mix (using paving bitumen VG-30 penetration) rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient with 8 to 10 tonne power road roller complete all as specified and as directed. Notes:- (i) Contractor shall submit the authenticated weigh batch receipt as per load material in site duly marked vehicle number (ii) In case of quantity of binder as per job mix formula works out to be more the 4 % of weight of total mix extra quantity shall be provided by contractor without any extra cost to the Government.

M&L for moorum/red bajri filling, 50mm spread thickness and consolidated, rolled and compacted to required gradient and camber all as specified and as directed.
