Cleaning of various units of STP, underground sewer lines and removal of chokes, Disposal of Carcasses in residential and non-residential buildings at Anupuram Township during the year 2024-2025

Cleaning the lounder surface, screen area, floor area of clarifier, aerator, screen chamber & grit chamber etc., of Sewage Treatment Plant including cleaning and removing the floating materials, algae growth and the deposited waste, disposing the cleaned waste within the premises of Sewage Treatment Plant and Pump house, cost of bleaching powder and cleaning materials, cost of safety gadgets, etc., all complete as directed by the Engineer-in-charge. [Note:- 1) Suitable safety precautions shall be taken while cleaning to avoid asphyxiation. 2) The Contractor shall engage minimum Two labour daily for maintenance and cleaning the area.]

Labour charges for removing the dried sludge's upto 150mm thick from the sludge drying bed of sewage treatment plant and disposing the same within a lead of 100 mtrs. including cleaning the bed, spreading the sand, etc., all complete as directed by the Engineer-in-charge ( Note:- The cost of sand will be paid for separately under relevant item).

Cleaning the underground sewer lines and manholes by Mechanical methods of sewers upto 200mm dia including opening the cover of manhole/chambers with adequate safety measures to avoid asphyxiation, roding inside the sewer line between successive chambers using motorised cable cum rodding machine of suitable capacity along with high pressure water jets to remove the obstruction/choke in sewer line, cleaning the sewer/ chambers by removing all sludge, sand grits, tree root, waste material, etc., disposing of the sludge's/waste materials within 1Km lead, closing the manholes by placing the cover in its original position, cost of all tools and plants required for this item etc., all complete as directed by the Engineer-in-charge. Note: 1) The contractor shall deploy sufficient manpower and machinery such as cable cum rodding machine, water jets for efficient cleaning of sewer line with requisite supervising staff falling which, payment will not be made for defective cleaning work. 2) Sewer line shall be cleaned minimum twice in a year. 3) Frequency of cleaning of sewer line and area /length of sewer line covered shall be as per the programme available with EIC. The contractor shall follow the same scrupulously, falling which the penal recovery shall be made.

Cleaning the underground main sewer lines and manholes by Mechanical methods of sewers above 200mm dia including opening the cover of manhole with adequate safety measures to avoid asphyxiation, removing the obstruction/choke in sewer line by using diesel running vehicle mounting hydraulic operated high pressure jetting system of 2200 PSI, removing the sludge/ waste materials using suction machine with pump, cleaning the sewer/ chambers by removing all sludge, sand grits, tree root, waste material, etc., desilting the manhole/chamber, disposing of the sludge's/waste materials within 1Km lead, closing the manholes by placing the cover in its original position, flushing the sewer line between manholes by using high pressure jetting, cost of all tools and plants required for this item etc., all complete as directed by the Engineer-in-charge. Note:- 1) The contractor shall deploy sufficient manpower and machinery such as jetting machine/ sucker for efficient cleaning of sewer line with requisite supervising staff falling which, payment will not be made for defective cleaning work. 2) The work shall be executed by deploying skilled specialised manpower/ agency by deploying suitable machineries. 3) Sewer line shall be cleaned minimum twice in a year. 4) Frequency of cleaning of sewer line and area /length of sewer line covered shall be as per the programme available with EIC. The contractor shall follow the same scrupulously, falling which the penal recovery shall be made.

Labour charges for cleaning the sewage lift stations (I, II & III), dry and wet wells of about 3 metres deep from the average ground level by removing the accumulated sludge, sand, grit, etc., and disposing the spoils with an initial lead of 30m, cost of tools and plants required at site, etc., all complete as directed by Engineer-in-charge. Note: Suitable precaution shall be taken while cleaning to avoid asphyxiation.

Labour charges for removing the choke from floor traps of kitchen, bathroom, wash basin, toilets as well as gully chambers including removing the choke from vertical stack line joints by opening the door at all levels and disposing the removed waste materials, clearing away from the residential area including cost of all tools and plants, safety materials required for the work etc., all complete as directed by the Engineer in-charge.

Supplying and spreading of Bleaching powder for cleaning the STP and pump house, etc., all complete as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.

Supplying and spreading of Sand free from clay, silt, etc., for sludge drying bed at STP including spreading the sand in layers over sludge drying beds as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.

Labour charges for disposing Carcass like Dog & Cat etc., including lifting, transporting by suitable means for safe disposal, buried in pits at places as shown by EIC, etc., all complete as directed by Engineer-in-charge.

Repairing the broken gully chamber including minor repair like plastering, fixing the chamber cover in an original position, cost of cement, sand etc., all complete as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.

Laying of Precast slab over Gully / Inspection chamber at various locations including collecting and transporting from STP, laying over chamber as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.

Collection and conveyance of sewage sludge's settled in oxidation pond situated at Sewage Treatment Plant in Anupuram township to outside of the township by using sewage lorry of capacity not less than 5000 litres per trip including cost of men, materials, machineries, suitable safety gears as required for this work, etc., all complete as directed by the Engineer-in-charge. [Note: Suitable precaution shall be taken while collection and disposal of sewage sludge to avoid asphyxiation.]

Removing of the choke and cleaning the underground sewer lines by mechanical methods using route cutter/augar type drain cleaning machine of make RIDGID (Model K- 1500SP) or other approved make for sewers upto 450mm dia including opening the cover of manhole/chambers with adequate safety measures to avoid asphyxiation, inserting the cable spring inside the sewer line between successive chambers using motorised cutter/augar machine of suitable capacity along with high pressure water jets to remove the obstruction/choke in sewer line, cleaning the sewer/ chambers by removing all sludge, sand grits, tree root, waste material, etc., disposing of the sludges/waste materials within 1Km lead, closing the manholes by placing the cover in its original position, cost of all tools and plants required for this item etc., all complete as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.
