PROVISION OF DUCTILE IRON PIPES IN LIEU OF AC

Amount

Item No 01 : Excavation in trenches not exceeding 1.5 m wide and not exceeding 1.5 m deep with manual diging in any type of soil for foundation, laying pipe, taking up old pipe etc. or for shafts, wells, cesspits, manholes, pier holes, etc. and getting out complete all as specified and directed. NOTE : Some part of the earth work & excavation shall be carried out in Mall Road where frequent VIP visit take place. Before quoting the tender Contractor should make himself familiar with working condition, accessibility of site works. During execution of work, traffic should not be disturbed, necessary barricades, sign board etc shall be provided at site. Quoted Rates shall be inclusive for above provision and nothing extra shall be admissible at later stage.

Item No 02 : Returning filling in any type of soil including spreading levelling watering and well ramming in layers n.exc 25 cm thick complete all as specified and directed.

Item No 03 : Removing excavated material (Soils) to a distance not exceeding 50 m and depositing where directed at a level n.exc. 1.5 m above the starting point complete all as specified and directed.

Item No 04 : Taking up Cast Iron Water mains (including all fittings), with Spigot and socketed ends and lead joints including burning out joints including recovering leads for the size of 400 mm dia bore complete all as specified and directed.

Item No 05 : Taking up Asbestos Cement Pressure pipes, any class (including all fittings), including disconnecting pipes and fittings complete for the size of 150 mm bore complete all as directed by the GE.

Item No 06 : Supply, laying and testing of centrifugally cast (Spun) ductile iron pressure pipe Class K-9 of size DN 400 mm bore with spigot and socket end pipes suitable for tyton joints duly applied with zinc coating with finishing layer of bitumen on external surfaces and cement mortar lining with bituminous seal coat on internal surfaces complete confirming to IS-8329 (2000) including EPDM gaskets, complete all as specified and directed by the GE.

Item No 07 : Supply, laying and testing of centrifugally cast (Spun) ductile iron pressure pipe Class K-9 of size DN 150 mm bore with spigot and socket end pipes suitable for tyton joints duly applied with zinc coating with finishing layer of bitumen on external surfaces and cement mortar lining with bituminous seal coat on internal surfaces complete confirming to IS-8329 (2000) including EPDM gaskets, complete all as specified and directed by the GE. NOTE : for item No 06 & 07 above- (i) Ductile iron pressure pipe will be laid in same route as per old taking down pipe line or some part of the route may be changed due to site requirement as per direction of GE. (ii) Water supply to the Mhow cantt area shall not be disturbed during replacement of old pipe with DI pipe, therefore the work shall be planned & Executed accordingly and no extra payment shall be made for the same.

Item No 08 : Supply, laying and testing for DI fitting of class K-9 in repair, like cast iron bends (any type, radius and angle), tapers any type, (straight, bend, increasing, decreasing or double sockets etc.) tee pieces single branch, 'Y' junction, double branch, cross (all socket or spigot and socket) collars, caps and plug up to 150 mm bore for spigot and socket end pipes complete all as specified and directed.

Item No 09 : Supply, laying and testing for DI fitting of class K-9 in repair, like cast iron bends (any type, radius and angle), tapers any type, (straight, bend, increasing, decreasing or double sockets etc.) tee pieces single branch, 'Y' junction, double branch, cross (all socket or spigot and socket) collars, caps and plug etc from size 200 mm bore to 400 mm bore for spigot and socket end pipes complete all as specified and directed. NOTE for Item No 08 & 09 -weight of DI Fitting shall be taken actual at site.

Item No 10 : Supply, Fix and testing of Sluice valves cast iron body, double flanged, ISI marked (IS-14846), heavy duty, class PN-1.6 gun metal, with rising spindle of solid forged bronze and operating handle, including rubber gaskets, nuts, bolts, washers etc including taking up unserviceable old existing valves all as specified and as directed by GE complete of following sizes: -

(a) 400 mm dia bore

(b) 150 mm dia bore

Item No 11 : Supply, Fix and testing in replacement of butterfly valve gear operated having epoxy coated cast iron body, PN 1.6, ISI marked SGI disc with integral seat of nitrile rubber, including taking down of the following sizes:-

(a) 400 mm dia bore

(b) 150 mm dia bore

Item No 12 : Supply, Fix and testing Cast Iron Air release Valves with two air outlets, 50 mm dia bore fixing with any type of Water mains upto 400 mm dia all asspecified and directed by GE.

Item No 13 : M & L for cutting the existing road top consisting of bituminous/ Semi bituminous macadam, WBM, Soiling, Sub base and road berm & foot path with paver block including subbase concrete etc complete of width and depth n.exc 1.5m for laying of water main and filling back with excavated material and making good the disturbed surface of road portion as per existing by providing soiling, WBM, bituminous macadam and road berms/ foot path with paver block, interlocking tiles, sand cushioning and PCC (1:4:8) type D2 sub base 100mm thick complete all as specified and directed by GE.

Item No 14 : M&L for Boring of holes under road, pavement, hard standing by trenchless technology using ultra sounding technique and necessary machine including HDPE pipe suitable for passing up to 400 mm dia pipe suitable for 0.4 mpa working pressure complete all as specified and as directed.

Item No 15 : M&L for Brick work with subclass 'B' bricks using straight or curved on plan exc 6m mean radius built in cement mortar 1:4 complete all as specified and as directed.

Item No 16 : M&L for Rendering 10 mm thick using cement plaster of 1:4 on fair faces of brick work or concrete surface complete all as specified and as directed.

Item No 17 : S&F for MS Angle iron framed work as in grills grating for valve chamber, and ladder etc using 50 mm x 50mm x 6 mm thick angle iron and 6 mm thick MS plate, framed guard bars including necessary locking arrangement complete all as specified and as directed.

Item No 18 : M&L for preparation of newly plastered surfaces of walls and applying three coats of white wash complete all as specified and as directed.

Item No 19 : M&L for preparation of new steel surfaces of any description over 10cm in width or girth not otherwise described and applying two coats of synthetic enamel paint over a coat of red oxide primer complete all as specified and as directed.

Item No 20 : M&L for construction of brick masonry valve chamber of size 1200mm x 1200mm x 1200 mm (internal dimension) with brick masonry built in cement moter 1:6 including 15 mm thick plastering in CM (1:4) internal and external surface of chamber for sluice valves upto 400mm bore including angle iron frame with MS sheet cover and locking arrangement including applying two coats of synthetic enamel paint over a coat of primer including dismantling the existing valve chamber of any size and description complete all as specified and as directed. Item No 21 : All as per ser item No. 20 above but of size 900mm x 900mm x 900 mm (internal dimension) complete all as specified and directed. Refer TD Drg No. CEJZ/TD/819/91

Item No 22 : M&L for Rubber gasket Joint (Tyton Joints) suitable for DI pipe of following sizes:- (NOTE : The Cast for jointing of spigot and socket pipe and fittings include for provision of EPDM gaskets of appropriate size shall be included in quoted rates)

(a) 150 mm bore

(b) 400 mm bore

SCHEDULE "A" (Schedule of credit) Schedule of Credit Rs 3315500.00 (Minus) inserted by the MES. (Note : Credit amount shall be deducted manually to arrive net bid amount)
