Maintenance and improvement of landscape area in DAE Main gate complex, Kalpakkam for the year 2025-2026.

Maintenance of lawns, flower beds, hedges, trees etc., in garden area (Non- sprinklers area) by watering at regular intervals, cutting and trimming hedges, and the unwanted growth of grasses as and when required including running lawn mover, removing weeds, collecting the cut grass, fallen leaves of trees and disposing the same at dumping yards shown by the department, watering the trees inside the garden area complete all as per specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge. Note: 1. The rate shall include the cost of hire charges of lorry and labour for transporting of cut grass, leaves etc., to the dumping yard. 2. The rate shall also include cost of all tools, plants, water delivery hose required for gardening etc. 3. The rate quoted shall be per Sq.m. area maintained per month. 4. Contractor has to make his own arrangement for Lawn Movers. If departmental lawn movers is available it will be provided by department on chargeable basis. 5. If lawn mover is not used, then recovery at the rate as mentioned in specification will be levied as penalty from RA Bill. 6. The contractor shall engage minimum 1 person for 1500 sq. m /day throughout the month as directed by Engineer-in-charge. Failure to employ the above minimum numbers of labour will attract penal clause as per additional special condition of contract attached with the tender for every default of labour. 7. Cutting plants should be handed over to nursery for sampling by the contractor as directed by the Engineer-in-charge. 8. The contractor shall supply the PPE to the garden labour and they should wear the PPE during their working hours.

Supply and spreading of Fertilizer (urea), neem cake including cost of fertilizer and neem cake etc., all as per specification for Orchard plants / trees at the rate of 0.01kg/Sqm for fertilizer and 0.005kg/Sqm of neem cake, all as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.

Collection, supply and spraying of pesticides / fungicides / growth regulators in the lawn area and hedges by sprayer etc., including cost of collection, supply and spraying of pesticides / fungicides /growth regulators etc., all as per specification.

Operation of Garden water supply pumps located in different areas of IGCAR including operating regulation valves and different sector of garden network, monitoring water level in the wells to avoid dry run of motor and cleaning the pumps, pump room, etc., complete all and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. Note: The Contractor has to engage minimum of 1 operator in general shift timing 9.00 to 17.30 hours every day throughout the year excluding Sundays and holidays. If any shortfall found during the contract period, he will be penalised at the rate of 1unit/operator/day and shall be deducted from the RA bills.

Sweeping and Cleaning the concrete surfaces daily around the lab area and pathway area in IGCAR complex including collecting and stacking swept material for disposal upto 4km and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. Note: 1. Every time cleaning area shall be measured for payment 2. The contractor shall engage minimum 1 number of workers daily as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. Failure to deploy the minimum number of labour will attract recovery with the minimum wages for every default of labour as mentioned in specification. 3. The rate should also include sweeping tools etc. 4. The contractor shall supply the necessary PPE to the workers. 5. The rate shall include the cost of hire charges of lorry and labour for transporting of sweeping materials to the dumping yard.

Trimming road side tree branches gives hindrance to road side and along the compound wall, including cutting, collecting and disposing the trimmed branches / fallen tree branches at places shown by departmental Engineer (In IGCAR Plant site fallen trees shall be disposed to the disposal yard through the CTS gate) with all lead complete all as per specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge for the following sizes of tree branches.

Below 30cm girth

Conveying the surplus excavated earth & debris, boulders and spoil by mechanical means and depositing at places inside DAE installation identified as Dumping yard as per requirement with a lead specified below including loading, unloading, breaking clods, levelling all complete as per specification and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. Note: 1) The rates in respect of this Item are applicable for the NET Quantities arrived at after making deductions for voids @ 20% in respect of soil and @ 50% in respect of Rock from the corresponding Stack / Truck measurements. 2) The earth shall be dumped well inside the Dumping yard and not over approach pathway road.

Lead charges for lead Exceeding 2 kilometre but not exceeding 3 kilometre

Levelling, bull-dozing the heeped / dumped loosened earth / debris etc., by hiring JCB / Bull-dozer etc., including transporting, operating the vehicle, operating the vehicle by engaging driver/operator with valid driving license, diesel charges, insurance and admissible taxes, labour if any required etc. complete all as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Area cleaning in and around the site by cleaning the bushes, debris, fallen trees, waste materials, garbages etc., collecting, conveying and disposing the same at places as shown by the department with a lead of 100 metres all complete as per specification and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

All kinds of soil with depth upto 1.5m below average Ground level and disposing surplus excavated earth upto a lead of 50 metres.

Renovation of lawn area, wherever damaged etc., to ensure better continuity of the landscape feature, including digging and levelling the surface of the earth upto 150mm including area cleaning, collection, supply and planting of below mentioned grass of good quality including conveyance, cost of below mentioned grass etc., complete all as per specification and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

Planting the plants / saplings in required site taken from nursery, including formation of pits, spreading & filling of red earth and farm yard manure to an average thickness of 50mm, conveyance from nursery, planting and initial watering all as per specification and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. Note: The rate shall excluding the cost of red earth and farm yard manure used for planting operation which will be paid under relevant item.

Cutting and removing stem, dry leaves, flower, fruits etc., or petiole in Palmeriya trees/palm trees and foxtail palm trees including labour charge, cutting removing the leaves, stem or petiole and stacking and disposal of unserviceable materials including depositing at places inside DAE installation identified as Dumping yard as per requirement upto 2km lead including loading, unloading, breaking clods, levelling all complete as per specification and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

Providing and Edging with wire cut bricks of size 230x110x75mm, laid dry length wise, including required excavation, refilling, consolidating with hand packing and spreading surplus earth neatly within a lead of 50 m complete all as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

Supplying and spreading of river pebbles (All colours) of various sizes ranges from 20mm to 30mm including loading, unloading, carriage etc., all complete as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Collection, supplying and stacking good quality Red earth without stones, gravel etc., and stacking for premeasurement at places as shown by Engineer for taking pre measurements including spreading the same at places shown with a lead upto 100metres and filling in pits etc., complete all as per specification and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

Collection, supplying and stacking of Decomposed dry farmyard manure without undesirable materials, stacking the same to at places as shown by Engineer for taking pre measurements including spreading the same at places shown with a lead upto 100metres and filling in pits etc., complete all as per specification and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.

Providing and laying the following sizes PVC water supply line with Finolex / Varun / Truebore or approved equivalent make PVC pipes suitable for 6 kg/sq.cm pressure and specials conforming & marked to IS:4985 including jointing with PVC jointing compound, laying and fixing the pipes in the excavated trenches, cost of all types of specials such as tees, reducers, coupler, reducing bushes, threaded adaptor, elbow, tail pieces, caps etc., and testing the line as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

Note: Cost for PVC pipe and specials will be paid separately under relevant item.

Labour charges for maintenance of foot valves / check valves of pumps at Inside of IGCAR Complex Garden pump house and wells including disconnecting suction pipe, lifting from UG sump, Bore-wells and open wells, removing foot/check valves, repairing, changing the leather, bolt and nuts, refixing suction pipe, testing etc., complete including cost of leather, bolts, nuts and labour.

Watering for landscaping activities in main road junction / rountana inside DAE complex upto at IGCAR Kalpakkam (upto area covered ) using tractor with tanker of capacity ranges 5000 to 6000 litres with lead upto 4 km, including required labour complete all as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. The water will be drawn from the source point and the delivery point will be as per the locations shown by the Engineer-in-Charge. The supply shall be made available to lawns/gardens/hedges by daily/alternatives as per the direction of Engineer-in-charge. Note : The water tanker shall be fully loaded for each trip load for watering purpose.

Cutting of road consisting of asphaltic concrete road surface including WBM Soling, making WBM and soling to original condition after work completed with retrieved materials including supply of extra quantities of materials i.e. aggregate, moorum, screening, red bajri not exceeding 15% of the original materials along with new materials and disposing all unwanted materials to place specified with lead upto 50m complete all as per specification and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

Removal and uprooting of tree roots with necessary excavation, cutting the lateral roots, conveying the uprooted tree roots at the places as directed including filling the excavated pits all as per specification - Upto a Girth of 600mm.
