Cement concrete 1:1½:3 with stone aggregate 20 mm nominal size for reinforced concrete work for walls exceeding 20 cm thickness (Straight and curved) beams, girders, stairs, columns, (square or rectangular) battens and lintels etc. excluding steel reinforcement but including centring and shuttering, laid in position complete in all respects extra over item Nos. 10.79 to 10.94, if 1:1 ½:3 mix is used. Providing and laying tack coat with bitumen VG-10 grade pressure distributor at the rate of 0.30 kg per Sqm on the prepared bitumen surface cleared with mechanical broom including cost of bitumen as per clause No.503 (fifth edition 2013 as per MORT&H specification. (N.S.)

Providing & Laying 50 mm thick compacted Dense Bituminous Macadam (DBM) in one layer with 80-100 TPH batch type hot mix plant and with a hydrostatic paver finisher with sensor control to the required grade, level and alignment, rolling with smooth wheeled vibrator and tandom rollers and withPTR 12 to 15 tonne weight with a tyrepressuer of atllout 0.56 MPA to achieve the desired compaction as per clause No. 505 and 113.3 of MoRT&H specification for road and bridge works (5th revision) of 2013/latest edition using minimum 4.50% to bitumen grade VG-30 as binder content by weight of total mix, complete in all respect including cost of bitumen instruction issued from time to time by MoRT&H regarding machinery & bitumen will be followed strictly. The use of self propelled mechanical paver finisher with electronic sensor device conforming to MoRT&H specification in mandatory. If bitumen required more than 4.50% as per job mix formula no extra payment will be made, extra bitumen required will be considered as incidental to work. Thickness of DBM laid over the existing Black Top surface is to be adjusted in such a manner that a camber of 2.5% is achieved. Any extra quantity over and above the quantity provided in the DNIT, require to achieve 2.5%camber shall be incidental to work. Note:- Before laying DBM on existing rod surface . any existing pot holes and cracks shall be repaired and sealed in accordance with clause no. 3004.2 and 3004.3 proper measurement and consumption shall be made, these are incidental to work.

Providing & Laying 30 mm compacted thickness of Bituminous Concrete (BC) in one layer with 100-120 THP batch type hot mix plant with Bituminous binder VG-10 (minimum ) and filler, transporting the hot mix to work site, laying with a hydrostatic paver finisher having sufficient screed width so that the BC joint with sensor control to the required grade, level and alignment, rolling with smooth wheeled. vibratory and with pneumatic tyred roller (PTR) of 12 to 15 tonne weight with a tyre pressure of at least 0.56 MPa and tandem rollers to achieve the desired compaction as per MoRT&H specification (vth revision )-2013 Clause no. 507 complete in all respect. If bitumen required is more than 5.4% as per job mix including waste plastic material no extra payment will be made. Extra bitumen including will be considered as incidental to work. Note:- job mix formula shall be approved by Employer in writing before start of work. Note:-Before carrying out bituminous work, coating & stripping of bitumen aggregate mix is to be performed in accordance with IS-6241. If coating and stripping of bitumen aggregate mix is less than 95% anti stripping agent will be used by contractor. The anti-stripping agent should conform to the requirement as stipulated in IS 14982:2017. The cost so incurred will be considered as incidental to work and nothing extra shall be payable. The type and brand of anti-stripping agent along with procedure shall be approved by the S.E-incharge in writing before start of work. A proper record of results be maintained and same shall be submitted along with bills by the contractor. 3. Where there is BC on existing black top, cracks shall be sealed as MoRT&H specification 5th revision clause No.3004.3, which may consists of (i) Fog seal/ or (ii) crack filling and of (iii) patch work repair as required at site in accordance with clause No.3004.3.2, 3004.3.3 and 3004.2 of MoRT&H specification 5th revision respectively. Proper measurement and consumption shall be entered in MB for cracks sealed but no payment on this account shall be made as crack filling is incidental to work.

Providing and marking centerline /side line 2.5 mm thick minimum) with hot applied thermo-plastic road marking paint 10 Cms wide / 15 cm wide complete in all respect such as furnishing all labour, materials, tolls equipments including all incidental costs necessary for carrying out in work at site confirming to the technical specification as clause no. 803 of MORT&H specification for road and bridge work (5th revision) of 2013/ Latest edition. Each container of the thermoplastic material shall have the name trademark or other means of identification of manufacturer batch number, date of manufacture color maximum application temperature and maximum heating temperature. The thermoplastic paint material shall be of Asian paint-apcomark/ Berger-sigmarc/ prismo. The glass beads shall be of Potters/Sovitec/Fleolite. The thermoplastic material shall be sampled and tested in accordance with appropriate ASTM/BS method. The contractor shall furnish to the Engineer-in-Charge a copy of certified test report from the manufacturer of the thermoplastic material meet all requirement of the specifications. The reflector zing glass beads shall meet the requirement of clause 803.4.2 and test methods mentioned in clause 803.4.2.4 shall be meticulously followed. The minimum thickness specified is exclusive of surface of glass beads the methods of thickness measurement shall be in accordance with appendix B and C of BS 3262 (part-3) Note:-Before start of work the contractor shall give brand, batch number, manufacturing date of the material to be used along with a photocopy of bill duly signed by the contractor and get approved the same from Engineer-In-Charge before use.

Pavement Marker (Cat Eyes) Moulded shank raised pavement markers made of polycarbonate and ABS moulded body and reflective panels with micro prismatic lens capable of providing internal reflection of the light entering the lens face and shall support a load of 16000 KG tested in accordance to ASTM D 4280 Type H and complying to specifications of Category A of MORTH Circular No. W/NH/33023/10-97-DO III dt. 11.06.1997. The height width and length shall not be exceed 50mm, 100mm and 100 mm and with minimum reflective area of 13 Sqcm. On each side and the slope to the base shall be 35+/- degree. The strength of detachment of the integrated cylindrical shanks, (of diameter not less than 19+/-2 mm and height not less than 30+/- mm) from the body is to be a minimum value of 500 Kg. Fixing will be by drilling holes on the road for the shanks to go inside, without nails and using epoxy resin based adhesive as per manufacturer’s recommendation and complete as directed by the engineer (of reputed make such as Avery Dennison/3M.)

In case of any difference in the unit & nomenclature of any of the HSR/DSR Items of Civil, P.H., & E.I. work depicted in this DNIT and that given in HSR/DSR, the unit and nomenclature given in HSR/DSR shall be applicable. 2. Only reputed make material will be used (make/brand exhibited in HSR/DSR and exhibited in approved standard document) as approved by Engineer-in-charge, while executing various items/works at site.
