Cutting in earth work in all heights and depths and in all kinds of soils including saturated soil comprising of Pick, Jumper , blasting work both in soft and hard rock with chiseling, wedging-out of rock where blasting is prohibited, their intermediate classification of soil, setting-out true to the required lines, grades, side slopes, trimming bottoms to levels as shown on the drawing and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge at site according to HP.PWD, specification of 1990 Vol-I and sorting-out useful/ un –useful materials and stacking the same in all leads and lifts in acquired width of the road and transportation of useful/ un-useful materials for filling in road ways camber, embankments for grades, improvement and leveling to required grade and disposing of all surplus excavated earth in acquired width of the road or on approved dumping sites through all modes of transportion including head load or animal transport or mechanically means alongwith its leveling, fine dressing and all labour, machineries, tools, equipments and safety measures and other incidental, necessary to complete the work by mechanised means and labour if required. All useful materials such as stones , shingles, aggregates and slates shall be sorted- out and stacked along road side, the quantity of which shall not be less then 36.74 cum., failing which recovery @ Rupees 300/cum. (Three Hundred per cubic metre) shall be effected from the bill of the contractor. Any loss of the public/ private property during the course of execution shall be absolute responsibility of the contractor which shall to be duly compensated by him in all respect, including carriage of materials through all modes of transportation with in all leads and lifts, as per PWD specifications and as per direction of the Engineer-in-charge.
