PART I - PERIODICAL SERVICES TO EXTERNAL WALL SURFACES INCL MISC REPAIRS IN MD ACCN OF OD AREA

Taking down cement plastering of any description on brick / stone/ concrete wall / ceiling surfaces of any description incl racking out joints hacking for key, scrubbing down with water etc. at any position and at any situation of height upto and including 03 storeys/10m, complete all as specified.

Material and labour for rendering 15mm thick in two layer of 5mm thick cement mortar 1:4 over 10mm thick 1:6 on other than fair faces brick concrete on external surfaces finished fair and even at any position and at any situation of height upto and including 03 storeys/10m, complete all as specified and as directed.

Material and labour for preparing newly plastered surfaces of wall and applying two coats of exterior emulsion over one coat of primer complete all as specified and as directed

Material and labour for preparation of old surfaces including brooming down or steel wire brushing, scrapping down smoke soot, moulds, moss and efflorescent salts and trading oil and greasy spots on walls and applying one coat of white wash including cleaning the floor/joinery surfaces, glass panes all as specified and directed.

All as per Item No. 5.00 but one coat of white wash on ceiling complete all as specified and as directed.

Material and labour for preparation of old painted surfaces of wood and wooden based surfaces of any description over 10cm width or girth and applying one coat of synthetic enamel paint complete all as specified and as directed.

Material and labour for preparation of old painted surfaces of steel and iron of any description over 10cm width or girth and applying one coat of synthetic enamel paint complete all as specified and as directed.

Material and labour for prepation of old surface including brooming down or steel wire, brushing, scrapping down smoke soot, moulds, moss and efflorescent salts and trading oil and greasy spots on walls and applying one coat of cement base paint including cleaning the floor/joinery surfaces, galss panes complete all as specified and as directed.

Complete removal of existing treatment and preparing wall surfaces and applying Two coats of 100% Premium acrylic emulsion paint having VOC less than 50gm/litre and UV resistance as per IS 15489:2004, Alkali & fungal resistance, dirt resistance exterior paint of required shade (Company Depot Tinted) with silicon additives @ 1.43 litre/ 10 sqm over and including priming coat of exterior primer applied @ 0.90 litre/ 10sqm over old surfaces complete all as specified and as directed..

Complete removal of existing treatment and treating with two coats of cement base paint to wall surfaces over a coat of primer and including preparation of old surface complete all as specified and as directed.

S&F in repairs stainless steel wire cloth 0.36mm nominal dia of wire and average width aperture 1.40mm and fixed with stainless steel wire staples all as specified and as directed

Hacking out old broken glass (any size, quality or description) from wooden/metal frames, glazing with putting or beads all as specified and as directed.

S&F 3mm thick figured glass pin headed type and glazing with oil putty in squares not exc 0.5 sqm in each pane complete all as specified and as directed.

Removing plants, weeds etc., on chajjas, roofs, walls at any position and at any situation of height upto and including 03 storeys/10m, RCC roof parapets and spraying weed controlling chemical using glyphosate or equivalent in dosages as per manufactures instruction complete all as specified and as directed.

PART II - REPAIR/REPLACEMENT OF EARTHING , LIGHTENING PROTECTION SYSTEM AND CONNECTED WORKS IN ARMY AREA

Earthing complete with copper earth plate electrode of size 60cm x 60cm x 3.15mm thick burried directly in ground vertically at a depth not less than 2.25 metre deep below normal ground level with top edge of the plate not less than 1.5 metre below normal ground level surrounded from all sides by 15 cm thick packed layer of charcoal dust and common salt, filling in alternate layer and electrode connections by using copper strip 20 x 3mm dia by means of bolts, nuts, check nuts and washers made of copper or brass and protected by light grade 15 mm dia GI pipe connected to main switch board or main control board, and GI pipe light grade 20 mm bore for watering and including funnel, wire mesh, RCC pit cover and PCC chamber pit with PCC 1: 2: 4 type C2 including excavation and earth work, disposal of surplus soil to a distance not exc. 50 mtr all as specified and as shown on Plate No 5 of SSR Part I (2009) all as specified and directed .

Material and labour for chemical earthing Providing tripod maintenance free earth pits using back fill compound of 75 Kg (Min) ,earth electrode of copper rod /copper bonded steel rod of 3 mtr length (min) & 17.2mm dia complete with test links for cable connection/disconnection,RCC chamber outer dia 400x400,inner dia 300x300 and depth 300mm with top cover including excavation,refilling etc complete all as specified and directed.

Material and labour, test point terminal block made of gun metal or phosphorus bronze or copper, size 75mmx75mmx25mm, drilled and screwed including 3 nos. 8mm dia 25mm long hexagonal head screws, complete all as specified and directed.

Material and labour, Earth continuity conductor or main earthing lead or lightning conductor, 25mmx3.15mm aluminium strip, fixed to wall on batten with saddles and fixing screws or PVC/ Porcelain insulators etc. or recessed or chases or burried in ground or drawn in conduit/pipe or fixed to poles or any other indicated situation for loop earthing or roof conductors and down conductors etc. as required, including brazing on both sides (over lapping) at all joints except test point, fixed as in replacement of existing strip, complete all as specified and directed.

Material and labour for earth continuity conductor or main earthing lead fixed to valve on batten or recess or chases or burried in ground or drawing in conduit or any other situation for loop earthing etc as reqd 4 mm dia galvanized steel wire all as specified and directed .

Material & labour, brazing/ soldering on both sides (over lapping) to the copper strip of size 20mmx3mm and 25mmx3mm as earthing lead, including dismantling the old from the existing position/ equipment without disturbing the functional requirements of the equipments, and reconnecting, after repair/brazing, complete all as specified and directed.

M&L in replacement of of earth pit size of 300mm(L)x 300mm(W)x 200mm(H) incl required exacavation, earth work and PCC work to make good damaged/disturbed surfaces of earth pit chamber & making new pit cover of RCC 1:2:4 type B-1 using 20mm graded stone aggregate, RCC cover complete all as specified & directed

M&L in replacement of wire mesh funnel GI type for fixing in 20/32mm dia GI light grade pipe complete all as specified & directed

Labour only, testing of earth resistance value using megger and record the reading in register, and retesting and record the reading after making arrangement as to achieve earth resistance with in permissible limit with help of saline water, salt, charcoal, magnesium suphate etc. Complete all as specified and directed. Note: (i) Salt, charcoal/coke, magenesium suplhate (MgSO4), shall be measured and paid for separately as material labour under relevant items. (ii) Testing shall be done every 3 month interval and value will be noted with user signature.

Material & labour, Supply of salt and mixing in water, and pouring into earth pit through watering pipe of chamber, in adequate quantity as to maintain earth resistance value within permissible limit, complete all as specified and directed.

Material and labour, Supply of Charcoal/coke powder, mixing in water and pouring into earth pit through water pipe of chamber, in adequate quantity to maintain earth resistant value within permissible limit, complete all as specified and directed.

Material and labour, Supply of magnesium sulphate (MgSO4), mixing in water and pouring into earth pit through water pipe of chamber, in adequate quantity to maintain earth resistant value within permissible limit, complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and Fixing of Rigid non-metallic PVC conduit for 40 mm dia exclusive of boxes (junction/terminal) but inclusive of all tees, bends, elbows, reducers, bell mouth tube ends and fixing accessories such as couplers, lock nuts, saddles, pipe hooks etc fixed on walls with suitable clamps on ceiling / roof trusses etc complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for GI tubing light grade laid in floors, on wall and fixing in steel trusses for earth strip protection of size 40 mm dia complete all as specified and directed.

Material and labour, Air termination, single pointed aluminium rod 12mm dia and 300mm long, including making connection to earthing conductor, fixed as in replacement of old termination rod, complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and fix, GI pipe 25mm bore light grade (ISI marked), cut piece of 1.0 metre - 1.5 metre length or as directed by Engineer-in-Charge, fixed vertically with bottom end embeded in & including cast-insitu PCC (1:2:4) block of size 20cmx20cmx15cm including use and waste necessary fair finish form work, and other end (at top) fixed to air termination rod with necessary bolts, nuts etc as required, complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and fixing, porcelain supporting insulator of as per existing size/adequate size fixing, on wall/roof for supporting the lightning arrester earthing strips, fixed as in repairs, complete all as specified and directed.

Pointing wiring in Existing conduit with 1.5 Sqmm (nominal area) PVC insulated,(FRLSH) unsheathed, multistranded, 1100 volts grade copper conductor cable single core, drawn through existing PVC/ steel heavy duty conduit 20 mm dia conduit including one run of 1.5 Sqmm PVC insulated copper conductor cable green in colour for continuous earthing, replaced with 1.6 mm thick MS terminal box finished to wall & 3 mm thick laminated hylam sheet top cover for one light/fan/Bell/5 Amp socket all as specified and directed.

Pointing wiring in Existing conduit with 4 Sqmm (nominal area) PVC insulated,(FRLSH) unsheathed, multistranded, 1100 volts grade copper conductor cable single core, drawn through existing PVC/ steel heavy duty conduit 20 mm dia conduit including one run of 4 Sqmm PVC insulated copper conductor cable green in colour for continuous earthing, replaced with 1.6 mm thick MS terminal box finished to wall & 3 mm thick laminated hylam sheet top cover for 15Amps socket all as specified and directed.

Replacement of laminated hylam sheet top cover with brass screws, cup wahser suitable for 03/04 modules concealed box and cutting of grooves for switchs,sockets and regulator etc complete all as specified and directed. Note: 1. Rates deemed to be included for removing and refixing of electrical point connections in switch board complete. 2. Switch,sockets,regulators to be measured and paid separately.
