VEGETATION CLEARANCE OF RUNWAY TAXIWAY ANDDISPERSAL SHOULDERS REPAIRS AND CLEANING OF DRAIN ALONG RUNWAY AND CERTAIN MISC WORK FOR CHAKERI AIRFIELD AT AF STATION CHAKERI KANPUR

Cleaning of drain covered with RCC precast cover slab of width not exc 1.50 m and depth upto 1.50 m including cleaning the grass, bushes mules silts by manually from the bottom, and sides (up to 1.5 mtr both the edges of drain at level of drain) including removal upto 100 m , including taking out RCC drain cover carefully and refixing the same after cleaning the drain complete all as specified and as directed.

Cleaning of drain of width not exc 1.50 m and depth upto 1.50 m including cleaning the grass, bushes mules, silts etc by manually from the bottom and both sides (up to 1.00 mtr) both sides of drain at the top level of the drain including removal of the grass, bushes, mules, silts etc up distance of 100 m , complete all as specified and as directed.

All as per item No 2.00 here-in-before but width exc 1.5 m but not exc 3 m and depth exc 1.50 m but not exc 3.00 m.

Cutting of grass by manualy operated bush cutter machine of areas around various sign boards. Installation, post, DTGM and likes where mechanical means can not be deployed including cleaning away all grass vegetations, sampling shrubs, bushes, weeds and roots of trees etc and removing rubbish at low lying area exc 200 m from edge of runway / taxiway /dispersal complete all as specified and directed by Engr- In-Charge. Note : (i) Availability of working hours for cutting of grass will depend on Air Trafic Control (ATC) Unit . Nothing extra shall be admisible if intermittent working hours for cutting of grass are available due to operational activity. (ii) For three months as directed by ATC unit, the contractor will deploy 03 Nos of bush cutter per day for cutting of grass and there after number of bush cutter to be deployed per day may be increased or decreased as per Air Trafic Control (ATC) Unit requirement or as directed by Engr-in-Charge.

M&L for preparation of surfaces of roads, bituminous or rigid pavement, flexible pavings, aprons and the like exceeding 10 cm width or girth as in lines dashes, arrows, letters etc and applying one coat of aqua based road marking paint of any tint as required at site complete all as specified and directed. Note : (i) Availability of site and working hours for painting will depend on Air Trafic Control (ATC) Unit . Nothing extra shall be admisible if intermittent working hours for painting will be available due to operational activity.

M&L for preparation of surfaces of roads, bituminous/ rigid, pavement, flexible pavings, aprons and the like not exceeding 10 cm width or girth as in lines, dashes, arrows, letters etc and applying with one coat of aqua based road making paint of any tint as required at site complete all as specified and directed. Note : (i) Availability of site and working hours for painting will depend on Air Trafic Control (ATC) Unit . Nothing extra shall be admisible if intermittent working hours for painting will be available due to operational activity.

M&L for preparation of old bituminous/concrete pavement surfaces by sweeping, removing foreign materials etc and applying a coat of white washing complete all as specified and directed. Note : (i) Availability of working hours for white washing will depend on Air Trafic Control (ATC) Unit . Nothing extra shall be admisible if intermittent working hours for white washing is available due to operational activity.

Cutting of grass/vegitation by tractor with jungle jeem (machnical slasher) where ever required including removing material obtained from cutting up to 100 m from adjoining edge of runway / taxi-way complete all as specified and directed. Notes:- (i) Contractor will deploy his own set-up of tractor with jungle jeem with POL and MT driver for cutting of grass. (ii) The contractor will deploy one tractor with jungle jeem per day for cutting of grass for the balance period. The number of tractor to be deployed per day may be increased or decreased as per Air Trafic Control (ATC) Unit requirement as directed by Engr-in-Charge. (iv) The Motor/Tractor will be run/operated by person having vehicle licence for heavy vehicle from the state transport authority. (v) Availability of working hours and site for cutting of grass by Jungle jeem will depend on Air Trafic Control (ATC) Unit . Nothing extra shall be admisible if intermittent working hours is available due to operational activity.

Repair to existing construction and dummy joints of size 10mm to 20mm wide and 25mm avg depth on rigid pavement of runway , taxiway and dIspersal of air field with following activities : (i) Raking out old decayed/damaged existing sealing compound with backup rod of any description and cleaning the joints thoroughly by removing dust, dirt foreign material by appropriate electric cutter and air blower. (ii) Removing the existing sealing compound from the edges , bottom and sides of the joints by cutting the edges, bottom and sides of the joints by mechanical tool (diamond cutter) to make the cross section of joint truly rectangular. Cutting of edges/sides/bottom of joints shall be done by using diamond cutter only . (iii) Once again cleaning the joints with compressed air and applying two primer coats (with interval of 30 minutes between each coat) upto the full depth & width of the existing joints (iv) Sealing the joints with polyurethane joints sealant ( upto full depth of existing joint) all as per manufacturers instruction including applying masking tap on edges of joints to prevent accidental spillage of sealant on top surface and removing the tap after sealant is applied complete all as specified and directed. (v) The quoted unit rate deemed to include supplying ang fixing of back up rod /slab of appropiate diameter / thickness as per site requirement. (vi) Electric supply shall be arranged by the contractor at its own arrangements.

All as per Item No 9.00 here-in-before but expansion joints of size 20mm to 30mm wide and 25mm avg depth.

Supplying and fixing 25 mm thick pre formed compressible filler board (HD-100) of required depth in expansion joint.
