Repair to pot holes, not exceeding 1 Sqm each including sweeping free from dust and mud, or water, scoring sunken surfaces in roads, paths etc, cutting around edges to at least 25mm in depth, making good by applying a tack coat of bituminous primer (paving bitumen) @ 5 kg per 10 Sqm, putting in premixed bituminous macadam, well rammed and sealed with binder 9.8kg per 10 Sqm, blinded with 0.09 cum of stone chippings, 6.3 mm size and again well rammed (Including supply of premixed macadam, binder and chippings), depth of potholes exceeding 30mm complete all as directed.

Preparing black top surfaces by brushing with wire brushed for removing caked mud etc sweeping with brooms finally fanning the cleaned surfaces with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc then applying evenly a priming/ tack coat with bitumen emulsion (RS-1, grade confirming to IS 8887 at 3 Kgs/10Sqm) using emulsion pressure distributer on prepared surface, thereafter Bituminous premix semi dense asphaltic concrete, 30 mm consolidated thickness with 5.5% binder content Paving bitumen VG-30 grade by weight of total mix, mixed in hot mix plant, laid using mechanical paver, rolled with 8 to 10 tonne power roller and compacted to required camber and gradient complete all as directed.

Preparing bituminous surfaces of road and marking 2.5 mm thick center lines, stop lines, dashes, arrows etc and the like n.exc 10 cm wide on roads pavements with hot applied thermo plastic road marking paint (including reflectorizing glass beads@250 gms per sqm as per IRC-35-1997)of approved colour confirming to BS 3262-1989 with special applicator machine all as per manufactures instructions complete all as directed. (Make: Metro road system /Shivalik / Asian) Note : 1. Unit rate quoted by the contractor include for provision of red signals to keep off trafic from work, cleaning road surface and working during odd hours when traffic is light. 2. The line marking shall stand out boldly and solidly without showing any signs of scratch marks or surfaces underneath, if necessary the surface shall be remarked after removal of existing treatment untill the desired result is obtained.

Surface excavation not exc. 30 cm in deep and averaging 15 cm deep and getting out in soft / loose soil complete all as directed.

Excavation in trenches n. exc. 1.50 m wide and n. exc. 1.50 m deep for foundation of sewage lines, man holes etc; n. exc. 10 sq m on plan and n. exc. 1.50 m depth and getting out in soft / loose soil, complete all as directed.

Returning, filling in including spreading levelling watering and well ramming in layers n. exc. 25 cm thick in soft / loose soil complete all as directed.

Removing excavated soil to a distance n. exc. 50 and depositing where directed at a level n. exc. 1.50 m above the starting point complete all as directed.

Removing excavated soil to a distance exc. 250m and n. exc. 500m and depositing where directed at a level n. exc. 1.50 m above the starting point out side from Defence land complete all as directed.

Demolition of cement concrete of any description and in any position not otherwise specifically provided for complete all as specified & directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

M&L Chequered cement concrete tiles of size 30cm x 30cm x 25mm thick coloured glossy finished factory made designer tiles , set and jointed and pointed in grey cement and pigments with neat cement slurry as in path/ floor etc complete all as specified and as directed.The colour and combination of tiles as approved by GE.

20 mm thick screed bed in CM 1:6 laid and jointed with cement slurry mixed with pigment to match the shade of the slab including rubbing and polishing complete all as directed.

Precast cement concrete 1:3:6 type C1 using 20mm graded stone aggregate as in kerbs or mud stops, rounded or chamfered complete all as specified and as directed.

Precast cement concrete 1:3:6 type C2 using 40mm graded stone aggregate as in surface channels and foundation of drains complete all as specified and as directed.

Precast cement concrete block masonry with solid blocks grade C-5, exceeding 10 cm in width and setting in cement mortar 1:4 complete all as directed.

M&L Extra for forming fair finished drain or channel 30 cm inner girth in cement concrete, using extra cement, including forms, moulds, mitred/stoped ends etc complete all as specified and as directed.

Precast cement concrete 1:2:4 type B1 using 20mm graded stone aggregate as in plinth courses, parapets, railings , copings, bed plates, kerbs , water troughs and the like including weathering, slightly rounded or chamfered angles and throating complete all as specified and as directed.

Rendering 15 mm thick in cement mortar 1:4 on internal surfaces of drain brick work, stone walls, block masonry or concrete surfaces finishing the surfaces even & smooth without using extra cement complete all as specified and directed.
