Eligibility Criteria

Tenders from Joint ventures are not acceptable.

Bidders shall not be under a declaration of ineligibility for corrupt and fraudulent practices issued by Government of Karnataka

A copy of valid KPWD calss-4 & above registration certificate.

It shall be the responsibility of the Bidder to ensure credit of Tender Processing Fee and EMD into the respective receiving bank accounts of e-Procurement on or before the last date and time of bid submission.

EMD Payments through e-Payment mode shall be made as one single transaction and payments made in part are liable for rejection.

Valid GST registration certificate.

Valid EPF registration certificate.

To qualify for award of the respective contract, each tenderer in his name should have in the last five Years period (i.e. from 2020-21 to 2024-25) Achieved in at least Two financial years a minimum Financial turnover of Rs.15.33 lakhs (in all classes of civil engineering construction works only) of value usually not less Than the estimated cost under this contract for works.

The intending bidder shall visit the work site to familiarize themselves with the site conditions, access, local environment and other factors affecting execution of the work

The requisite Earnest Money Deposit (e-cash).

Eligible Tenderers will be qualified only if their available tender capacity is more than the total tender Value. The available tender capacity will be calculated as under: Assessed available tender capacity (A x N x 2.5 - B)

During technical evaluation, if the employer finds that any certificates/information furnished is false, such bidders will be disqualified and barred from participation in the bid.

The intending bidders are advised to visit the site of work, make themselves familiar with local situation about the availability of construction materials, work men, land required for construction activities, etc before submission of bids.

Incomplete tender documents will be rejected.

All materials like steel, cement etc., required for the above work should be procured by the contractor only. No departmental supply of any material shall be made by KBJNL.

The contractors/firm shall send the authorization letter for their representatives duly attesting their signature

The contractor should adhere to the time period specified for completion of work, under any circumstances without linking to the pending payment of the work & also Land acquisition problems, if any.

Typographical errors, if any will not be the ground for any claims by the Contractor

The Bidder shall be responsible for successful performance of the contract.

The contractor/authorized signatory should attach his/her scanned signature to the Schedule-B before uploading and also submitting their tenders.

If any of the dates mentioned above happened to be a general holiday, the nextworking day holds good

Conditional tenders are liable to be rejected. The officer competent to accept the tender shall have the right to reject any or all the tenders without assigning any reason whatsoever. Corrigendum will be published in the web site /newspapers for all modifications /corrections if any.

The intending bidders should note that, if any of land either part/parts or in whole required for the work is not acquired by the Nigam, it shall be the responsibility of the bidder to take possession of such land and start the work by obtaining consent by the land owners before commencement of work, at no extra cost to Nigam and no claim/delays whatsoever relating on account of non-availability of land would be entertained

The intending bidder should note that, as the tender invited is on percentage basis, if the bid amount based on the percentage quoted by the contractor is less than the amount put to tender, the contractor shall submit the additional performance security amount equal to the difference between the amount put to tender and quoted amount in any form as per security deposit clause mentioned in the tender document. In case of contractor quotes the rates above 125% of the estimated rates, then the amount over and above 125% will be withheld during the progress of work. The additional performance security will be released proportionately to the bill amount till the contractor achieves progress of entire work as per agreement

The quoted premium shall include all taxes, fresh Levies and Duties by Central/State/Local authorities.

Deductions will be made as per the norms and statutory order of Government, at the time of making payment.

Contractor should abide by the directions of Government towards recovery of 1 %( or as modified by the Government from time to time) Cess from the contractors bill under the provisions of building and other constructions worker welfare cess Act 1996.

Notwithstanding anything contained elsewhere, all conditions of the tender shall be interpreted strictly as per the Tender Notification and the Bid Document. The bidder shall be solely responsible for referring to and complying with all clauses, schedules, and instructions contained therein. The Evaluation Authority shall bear no responsibility for any error, misinterpretation, or omission on the part of the bidder while submitting the bid or supporting documents
