CWEAFJ-33/2019-20 REPAIRS TO DAMAGED SURFACE OF RUNWAY BY USING COLD POLYMERIC BITUMEN EMULSION TREATMENT AT AF STATION PATHANKOT

Labour Only for preparing of old black top surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc, sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surfaces with using air blowers to remove all loose dirt , rubber deposits complete and applying polymer modified emulsion (PME) having penetration value 5-20 mm and initial setting time of 4-5 hours but not more than 8 hours , SINGLE COAT with 0.6 Litres (undiluted) PME diluted in 0.60 Litres water to be applied uniformily on 01 Sqm area mixed with mineral filler as recommended by manufacturer of PME and ensure uniform finish of PME on flexible surfaces, manual application using moping complete all as per manufacturers instructions complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. MAKE:- M/S Hindustan Colas Pvt Ltd(HINMAT PLUS-PME), M/S L N Petrochem Pvt Ltd(EMULCOTE-PME), M/s Ooms Polymer Modified Bitumen Pvt Ltd or any other make approved by E-in-C Branch prior to bid submission end date. Notes : The tenderer shall take into consideration of the following points while quoting his rate for the item :- (a) Friction parametres shall be between 30-50 after application of PME. (b) Care shall be taken to fill gaps /cracks upto 3 mm size with mineral filler as per manufacturers instructions. (d) A Guarantee certificate for two years and Guarantee money 2% of total contact value shall be submitted by the contractor to the GE on completion of work . This Guarantee money shall be in addition to the performance security mentioned in Sch A note No 14.1

NOTE:- PME received under Item no 3 shall be received through a proper receipt voucher and entered in MB and issued to the contractor for use in work under proper issue voucher.

M & L for cleaning/raking out cracks/joints of runway and making to maximum width of upto 50 mm and depth 50 mm (For cracks above 3 to 5 mm wide) by cutting with cutter machine in flexible pavement and removing all existing loose and foreign materials to a distance exceeding 50 metres but not exceeding 100 metres , cleaning the surface with wire brushes and then cleaning the surfaces with compressed air using compressor , priming the surfaces with primer Dencote Primer 601 and filling with epoxy tar compound levelled with trowel complete all as specified and directed by GE. MAKE:- DENSON/NGI or any Equivalent make approved by CWE.

M & L for cleaning/raking out MINOR cracks/joints of runway and removing all existing loose and foreign materials to a distance exceeding 50 metres but not exceeding 100 metres , cleaning the surface with wire brushes and then cleaning the surfaces with compressed air using compressor and filling of cracks using polymer modified emulsion (PME) mixed with mineral filler before application of PME surface coating as per Item No 1 and 2 above complete all as specified and directed by GE.. MAKE of PME:- M/S Hindustan Colas Pvt Ltd(HINMAT PLUS-PME), M/S L N Petrochem Pvt Ltd(EMULCOTE-PME), M/s Ooms Polymer Modified Bitumen Pvt Ltd any other make approved by E-in-C Branch prior to bid submission end date.
