Subhead A

Earth work in excavation in foundations, trenches, pits, areas including dressing of sides and ramming of bottom wherever, required, lift upto 1.5 M, getting out excavated earth, disposal of surplus excavated earth upto a lead of 10 M:

a) Soft/loose/hard/dense soil

b) Ordinary rock

c) Hard rock without blasting

Extra for every additional lift of 1.5 M or part thereof in excavation in all type of soil including ordinary/hard rock

a ) Excavation of holes in earth upto 0.80 Cu. M. for plantation/afforestation/grouting of poles etc., in all types of soil including getting out excavated earth and disposal/ dressing of the same in surrounding areas.

b ) -do- upto 0.50 Cu. M.

Surface dressing of the ground including removing inequalities not exceeding 15 cm deep and disposal of rubbish anywhere within plant area in soft/loose soil.

Filling available material vis. earth/sand/moorum/farm yard manure/stone aggregate etc., and spreading, levelling the same, watering and consolidation wherever required in pits, trenches, sides of foundations, flower beds/lawns, planted areas etc. as per directions of Engineer-in-Charge

Transportation of surplus earth, material, store items, garbage, plant construction debries, plants, saplings etc., anywhere in factory area including loading, unloading to work site, dump yard as per the directions of Engineer-in-Charge,excluding spreading and levelling the disposed off materials:

a) By truck / tractor trolley / hand cart on the basis of measured work

By engaging tractor trolley of size 2.95 x 1.75 x 0.53 mtr including driver and 4 (four) number of labour with tools and fuel for transportation of materials on the basis of per day ( 8 hrs.) working

Supplying and stacking at site of following materials:

Coarse sand of approved quality (no deduction for voids shall be made)

Fine sand from river Chambal at Dholpur (no deduction for voids shall be made)

Moorum of approved quality ( no deduction for voids shall be made)

Stone aggregate 40 mm nominal size (deduction for voids at the rate of 7.5% shall be made from measured quantity)

Operation of diesel engine pump/electrically operated pump for dewatering of sub-soil water/seepages/leakages from excavated pits/underground structures including making all arrangements for fixing/opening suction/delivery pipes and collection of water from small seepages, complete as per directions of Engineer-in-charge (pumps, diesel,oil/electric connection shall be supplied free of charge by NFL) on the basis of per day working of 8 hours.

Sub-Head B

Providing and laying cement concrete in foundation, footing, sub bases of pavements, floors, beds excluding cost of centring and shuttering complete :

1:4:8 (1 cement:4 coarse sand: 8 graded stone aggregate 40 mm nominal size)

1:2:4 (1 cement: 2 coarse sand: 4 graded stone aggregate 20/12.5 mm size)

Providing and laying plain cement concrete floors, damp proof course / drain beds 40 mm thick, 1:2:4 (1 cement:2 coarse sand:4 stone aggregate 20/12.5 mm size) including centering and shuttering wherever required but excluding cost of strips in joints.

Making plain cement concrete 1:2:4 (1 cement : 2 coarse sand : 4 graded stone aggregate 20/12.5 mm size) parapet/banni upto 50 x 50 mm including centering and shuttering complete

Grouting of pockets/chipped surface with plain cement/reinforced cement concrete 1:1:2 (1 cement : 1 coarse sand : 2 graded stone aggregate 20/12.5 mm size) including centering and shuttering wherever required complete.

Providing cement concrete champhers for repairing corners, junctions of wall with floor, drains, pits, other corners in cement concrete 1:2:4 1 cement : 2 coarse sand : 4 graded stone aggregare 10/12.5 mm size) including finishing with cement mortar 1:3 (1 cement : 3 fine sand) as per standard design in 75 x 75 mm deep chase.

Providing and laying reinforced cement concrete work excluding centering, shuttering and reinforcement in:

a) Foundations, footings, rafts, columns, pedestals, plinth beams, manhole chambers,flooring,pavements etc.

i) 1:2:4 (1 cement : 2 coarse sand : 4 graded stone aggregate 20/12.5 mm size)

ii) 1:1.5:3 (1 cement : 1.5 coarse sand ; 3 graded stone aggregate 20/12.5 mm size)

b) In super structure i.e. in columns, beams,lintels,shelves, chhajas, roof slabs / landings , vertical/horizontal fins etc.

i) 1:2:4 (1 cement:2 coarse sand: 4 graded stone aggregate 20/12.5 mm size)

ii) 1:1.5:3 (1 cement : 1.5 coarse sand ; 3 graded stone aggregate 20/12.5 mm size)

Cutting , bending, hoisting and fixing in position reinforcement for RCC work at all heights and depths (mild/ tor steel).

Fixing MS round holding down bolts with nuts, washers/insert plates in foundation complete with templates in true line and level (only nuts, bolts/plates will be supplied by NFL at its stores) complete.

Providing, fixing and removing centring and shuttering including strutting, proping etc. complete:

a) In foundations, footings, bases of columns, rafts, pavements etc.

b) In super structure i.e. in columns, beams, cantilivers, shelves, slabs, landing, vertical/horizontal fins etc.

Preparing surfaces of PCC/RCC work for receiving fresh concrete for additions/grouting work:

a) Roughening the surfaces by chipping concrete upto 25 mm thickness

b) Roughening the surface by hacking the concrete

c) Making pockets upto 200x200x200 mm in RCC/PCC

d) -do- in Brick/stone work

Brick work with local bricks of class designation 50 in foundations and plinth in 1:6 mortar (1 cement: 6 coarse sand).

Brick work with local bricks of class designation of 50 in super structure in 1:6 mortar (1 cement : 6 coarse sand).

Half brick masonary with local bricks of designation 50 in foundation and plinth in 1:4 mortar (1 cement : 4 coarse sand).

Half brick masonary with local bricks of designation 50 in super structure in 1:4 mortar (1 cement : 4 coarse sand).

Randum Rubble Masonary with hard stone in foundation and plinth including levelling up with cement concrete 1:6:12 (1 cement : 6 coarse sand : 12 graded stone aggregate 20/12.5 mm size) at plinth level in cement mortar 1:6 (1 cement :6 coarse sand)

Extra for doing all types of concrete/brick work/stone work in or under foul conditions/unapproachable sites where manual head lead is more than 30 metre.

15 mm thick cement plaster 1:6 ( 1 cement : 6 fine sand).

12 mm thick cement plaster 1:6 (1 cement : 6 fine sand).

12 mm thick cement plaster 1:3 (1 cement : 3 fine sand) finished with a floating coat of neat cement.

6 mm thick cement plaster 1:3 ( 1 cement : 3 fine sand).

a ) Raised and cut /ruled/flush pointing on stone work / brick work with cement mortar 1:3 (1 cement : 3 fine sand) on horizontal/vertical surfaces.

b ) - do - with araldite and hardners which will be supplied free from NFL Stores.

Repair of plaster in patches of area 2.5 sq.m. and under including cutting the patch in proper shape preparing and plastering the surfaces complete including disposal of rubbish to dumping yard with cement mortar 1:4 (1 cement : 4 fine sand).

Cement plaster skirting/dado with cement mortar 1:3 (1 cement : 3 fine sand) finished with a floating coat of neat cement including rounding off junction with floor,18 mm thick.

Providing and laying white glazed tiles of min. thickness 5 mm on skirting, sides of steps, dados on 12 mm thick cement plaster 1:3 (1 cement : 3 fine sand) and jointed with white cement slurry.

Repair of leaking underground structure by chipping the concrete surface and fixing of GI nipple 15/20 mm dia with cement mortar 1:3 (1 cement : 3 coarse sand) and repairing the cracks with same mortar, grouting of cement slurry of 1:1 (1 cement : 1 Ltr. water) by means of hand operated pressure grouting pumps complete as per instructions of Engineer-in-Charge. Only pressure grout pump shall be supplied free of charge by NFL.

Extra for all type of plaster work more than 10 mtr. height above ground level for every additional height of 3mtr. or part thereof.

Providing and laying 25 mm thick kota stone in floor or in skirting over 20 mm thick cemenr sand morter (1 cement :4 coarse sand ) including grinding polishing etc complete.

Only fixing of single layer monolithic cement concrete blocks in true line and level on ground level,as per directions of Engineer-in-Charge. Pavement bocks shall be supplied by NFL free of cost at its stores.

SUB-HEAD C- WOOD WORK

Providing wood work in frames of doors, windows, clerestory windows and other frames, wrought framed and fixed in position:

a) Second class Teak wood

b) Sal wood/or equivalent as approved by Engineer-in-Charge

Providing and fixing flush door shutters, decorative type, core of block board construction with frame of 1st class hard wood and well matched 1st class teak 3 mm ply veneering with vertical grains or cross bands and face veneers on both face of shutters :

a) 35mm thick including anodised MS butt hinges with necessary screws.

Providing and fixing glazed/wire gauge shutters for doors, windows,clerestory windows using 7.5 kg/sq.m. ( 3 mm thick) glasspanes/wire gauge including black enamelled M.S. butt hinges with necessary screws:

a) Second class teak wood 35 mm thick

Providing and fixing 12 mm thick, 150 mm wide pelmet of 19 mm block board and 12mm thick commercial ply on top with 20mm dia. M.S. conduit pipe, curtain rod including fixing with 25x3 mm M.S. flat 10 cm long and plugs etc. complete.

Providing and fixing M.S. conduit curtain rods 20 mm dia.

Providing and fixing/replacing M.S. fittings of doors windows with necessary screws (bright finished or black enamelled) :

a) M.S. sliding door bolt 16 mm dia. x 300 mm long

b) M.S. tower bolt barrel type 150 x 10 mm

c) M.S. handle 100 mm /Hasp and staple 100 mm

d) M.S. casement stay 300 mm

e) M.S. window fastener 100 mm

Providing and fixing / replacing aluminium anodized fittings with necessary screws:

Removal/taking out steel/wooden doors, windows, ventilators upto 2.5 Sq. M. (old windows/ventilators/doors shall be transported to NFL Stores/scrap yard by the contractor at his own cost) including dismantling of brick work/stone work etc. as required for dismantling the door, windows with frame.

Refixing of old glass panes with putty and nails.

Renewing old putty of glass panes (length)

Providing and fixing plywood plain lining with necessary screws/nails (no deductions for opening upto 0.25 Sq.M. shall be made) complete with :

a) Teak ply of approved brand (4 mm thick)

b) Commercial ply of approved brand (6 mm thick)

Providing and fixing/replacing bright finished brass 100 mm mortice latch and lock with 6 levers and a pair of lever handles with necessary screws etc. complete (best make of approved quality).

Providing and fixing/replacing aluminium hanging floor door stopper anodised transparent or dyed to required colour & shade with necessary screws etc. complete.

a ) Providing and fixing/replacing bright finished hydraulic door closer (best make of approved quality) with necessary accessories & screws etc. complete : Right/Left/Universal type

b ) Providing and fixing/replacing bright finished concealed hydraulic door closer (best make of approved quality) with necessary accessories & screws etc. complete : Right/Left/Universal type.

Providing and fixing/replacing wooden cleats of size 100 x 75 x 50 mm to doors and windows with approved fittings including removal of old cleats where necessary including painting, polishing or bees waxing to match the existing shade: Ist class kail wood cleats with iron hinges and screws.

Proving and fixing/replacing heat resistant sun control film one side silvered and the other side transparent for fixing on window panes as per site requirement at all heights,including cleaning of surfaces complete. Imperfections like bubbling, crip, joints etc. in film fixed in one pane shall not be allowed as per directions of Engineer-in-Charge. Before start of worka sample shall be got approved. The film shall be of non-reflective range of GARWARE or equivalent quality.

Providing and fixing sunmica of approved quality with proper adhesive (fevicol etc.) including making surface wherever required.

Providing and fixing 19 mm thick block board non decorative type with core of 1st class hard wood and well matched commercial ply veneering with vertical grains or cross bands and face veneers on both faces.

Providing and fixing galvenised MS wire gauge of average width of aperture 1.18 mm with wire of dia. 0.56 mm in doors,windows or at any other place including necessary nails, screws etc. complete.

Providing and fixing BWP type phenol formaldehyde Synthetic resin bonded pressed particle board tiles 12mm thick 610x610 mm size,including fixing to the existing existing false ceiling grid /framework with necessary screws/nut bolts etc. complete as per directions of Engineer-in-Charge.

Providing and fixing piano hinges finished with nickel plating and fixing with necessary screws complete,width upto 35 mm.

Supplying and applying antitermite solution on the existing wood work i.e. door frames,wall panelling,door shuterrs etc.

SUB-HEAD D- ROOFING

Providing and fixing Asbestos cement 6 mm thick sheet roofing at any height and fixing with GI - J or L hooks, bolts and nuts 6/8 mm dia., G.I. plain & bitumen washers complete excluding the cost of purlins, rafters and trusses, at any pitch.

Providing and fixing asbestos cement sheet roofing at any height including fitting with G.I. 'J' or 'L' Hook, washers etc. :

a) Close fitting adjustable ridges in pairs

b) North light and ventilator curves

c) Barge board/plain A.C. Corners

Dismantling of A.C./GI sheet roofing at any height including removal of ridges,hips,valleys and gutters etc., and stacking the material within 50 metres lead and disposal of unserviceable material in dump yard within plant area.

Rectification of AC/GI sheet roofing at any height by replacing damaged bitumen/GI washers and tightening the existing bolts, nuts & sealing all the holes with tarplastic compound to give full water proofing to the roof including all labour, tools tackles etc.and fixing of scaffolding wherever required at all heights (All other materials required for the work shall be given free by NFL).

Fixing of AC sheets 6 mm thick/translucent sheets/GI Sheet in roofing/wall cladding at any height by providing and fixing G.I. - 'J' or 'L' hooks and nuts 6/8 mm dia. including plain and bitumen washers complete (only A.C. sheets/transluscent sheet/GI sheets will be supplied by NFL free of cost).

Grading roof for water proofing treatment with cement concrete 1:2:4 (1 cement : 2 coarse sand : 4 graded stone agreegate 20 mm nominal size) at all heights.

Supplying and applying Tarplastic Water proof putty of approved brand and manufacture, wherever required as per directions of Engineer-in-Charge.

Providing non asbestos high impact Polypropylene reinforced cement 6 mm thick corrugated sheets roofing upto any pitch and fixing with polymer coated J or L hooks bolts and nuts 6/8 mm dia. G.I. plain and Bitumen washers or with self drilling fasteners and EPDM washers etc. complete including cutting to size and shape wherever required.

Providing and fixing on wall face unplastcized Rigid PVC pipes conforming to IS 13592 Type A including jointing with seal ring leaving 10 mm gap for thermal expansion Single socketed pipes.

Extra for cutting reinforcement bars in RCC or R.B. work (payment shall be made on the cross sectional area of RCC or RB work).

Demolishing brick work including stacking of serviceable material and disposal of unserviceable material within 50 mtrs. lead in cement mortar.

Demolishing stone rubble masanory including stacking of serviceable material and disposal of unserviceable material within 50 mtrs. lead in cement mortar.

Dismantling old plaster or skirting, raking out joints and cleaning the surface for new plaster including disposal of rubbish to the dumping ground within 50 mtrs. lead.

Renewing glass panes, with putty and nails or wooden fillets wherever necessary :

Repair/rectification/adjusting and maintenance of existing doors, windows, ventilators and their fittings including providing and fixing necessary screws/nails etc. for smooth functioning of these fittings :

b) Windows including locking bolts/tower bolt/handles/hinges

c) Pelmets / curtain rods

d) Hydraulic door closer including Oiling & Greasing

e) Fixing/removing and re-erecting name plates/display boards/ Notice boards on walls/door shutters

Repair leakages of burst of CI/GI pipe line including trenching, dewatering, cutting of pipes,fixing of collar/threading of G.I. pipe, providing lead caulked joints/providing and fixting G.I. fittings, refilling the trench etc., complete (only CI pipe collar/fittings and lead shall be supplied by NFL free of cost).

Cleaning of water tanks including removal of sludge, algae etc. ,washing, dis-infecting and again washing including removal & re-fixing of covers of overhead tank complete.

Making surface drain by chipping RCC floor and cutting of floor reinforcement including plastering of drain sides and bottom with cement mortar 1:6. The size of drain shall be upto 125 mm x100 mm to 50 mm.

Inspection and making small repairs/rectifications of foundations, bolts of pumps, heavy equipments, floors etc. against vibration and other related minor maint. works of walls, floors, drains, outlet/inlet pipes, manholes, struc- tures, pedestals, tank foundations etc., and small seepages repair in toilet, roof and railing repairs, any other masonary related job (Rate should be quoted for working of One skilled technician/mason along with one unskilled labour for 8 hours working).

Dismantling Acid Resistant tiles (any thickness) with chiesel including stacking the same within 50 Mtr. lead and disposing the unserviceable materials within plant area.

Fixing Acid proof tiles/bricks with araldite, hardeners by mixing the said araldite & hardeners in the required ratio including laying of bed mortar and filling the joints on all horizontal/vertical surfaces at all heights and depths (A.R. tiles , araldite & hardeners etc. will be supplied free of cost at NFL stores).

Removal of chockage of following sanitary installations for smooth functioning:

a) Floor trap/gully trap, water closet(European/Indian) wash basins, rain water pipes etc.

b) Sewer lines from Manhole to Manhole

Cleaning of storm water drains in plant areas (with size measured at bottom of drain) including uprooting of rank vegetation, removal of small debries etc., and disposal of the same in dump yard/anywhere within plant area :

a) Small drain upto 0.5 Mtr. Width

b) Drain upto 1 Mtr. Width

c) Drain more than 1 Mtr. width including final outlets upto boundary wall irrespective of the width of the drain

Sweeping of roof tops, against chocking of drain out pipes, roads, road junctions/turnings against slippage and other floor areas including collection of loose materials and dumping the same in dump yard within plant area.

Dismantling of precast cement concrete tiles/flag stone flooring/laying the same after levelling the base coarse (Base concrete/plaster and top pointing with cement mortar shall be paid for separately under respective item).

Dismantling and re-erection of kerb stone of roads including necessary excavation and refilling of soil wherever required.

a ) Cleaning with detergents, grinding with carborendum stone no. 320/120 wherever required and polishing with wax polish the existing tarrazo/kota stone flooring/skirting/dados.

b ) Cleaning of glazed tiles flooring/dados/skirtings with Hydrochloric Acid mixed with water and washing the same with plenty of water complete (Hydrochloric acid shall be supplied free by NFL at stores).

Providing and fixing M.S. fan clamp Type-I of 16 mm dia of M.S. bar bent to shape with hooked ends in RCC slabs during laying including painting the exposed portion of loop, all as per standard design complete.

Providing and fixing 16 mm M.S. fan clamps of standard shape and size in existing RCC slab including cutting chase and making good and painting exposed portions of the clamps complete.

Erecting/fixing in true line/level and plumb doors, windows, ventilators of steel or wood including chokhats upto 2.5 Sq. M. area including cartage of doors, windows, ventilators from stores to site of erection within NFL Estate.

Extra for providing and fixing glass strips in joints of terrazo/cement concrete floors 40 mm wide 4 mm thick.

a ) Deduct for using old available bricks in brick work including cartage of brick from one site to other.

b ) Deduct for using old available stone (chinkary) in stone work including cartage of stone from one site to other.

Extra for making chequers of approved pattern on cement concrete floors, steps, landings, pavements etc.

Providing miscellaneous services of manpower for doing unmeasurable / unskilled day to day jobs of cleaning, helping and making arrangements for other misc. unforeseen jobs with all tools and tackles : per day for 8 hrs. working :

a) Carpenter with one helper

b) Plumber with one helper

c) Un-skilled labour

SUB-HEAD G - SUPPLEMENTARY ITEMS.

Providing and laying 40mm thick marble chips flooring rubbed and polished to granolithic finish under layer 34mm thick cement concrete 1:2:4 ( 1 cement : 2 coarse sand : 4 graded stone aggregate using 12.5mm nominal size) and top layer 6mm thick light shade using any shade /colour of marble chips of size from 1mm to 4mm nominal size as required laid in cement marble powder mix 3:1 ( 3 cement : 1 marble powder by weight) and in proportion of 4:7 ( 4 cement marble powder mix : 7 marble chips ) by volume, including cement slurry at the rate of 2 Kg. of cement per sq.m. but excluding glass strips with ordinary cement :

a) with ordinary portland cement without adhision of any pigment complete.

b) medium shade pigment with 50% white cement and 50% ordinary portland cement.

Providing and laying marble stone flooring with 20 mm thick marble stone over 20 mm average thick base and jointed with cement slurry including providing and mixing pigments including rubbing and granite polishing complete in cement mortar 1:4 ( 1 cement : 4 coarse sand) ;

a) Bundi grey marble / Adanga Pink marble.

Supplying and fixing marblex tile flooring 2 mm thick conforming to IS: 8461 after preparation of the surface on a damp proof base using required adhesive including rolling with light wooden roller weighing about 5 kg. all complete as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. The shade of the tile to be provided shall be approved by the Engineer-in-Charge.

Providing and fixing mat finish good quality ceramic tiles of any size,pattern and colour of minimum thickness 8 mm on vertical/horizontal surfaces on a bed of 12 mm thick cement plaster 1:3 ( 1 cement : 3 coarse sand) finished with grouting / pointing in white cement mixed with pigment to match the colour of the tile.

Providing and fixing square mouth SW gully trap grade A complete with CI grating, brick masonry chamber with bricks of class designation 50 and water tight CI cover with frame of 300x300 mm size (inside), the weight of cover should not be less than 4.5 Kg. and frame should not be less than 2.7 Kg. as per standard design, 100x100mm P Type.

Providing and fixing Fire Retardant Transluscent sheets in any shade (fixing to match with asbestos cement corrugated sheets) of approved make, made of polyster fibre-glass reinforced 1.2mm thick fixed in roofing and or wall cladding with necessary fixtures e.g. galvanised bolts, nuts, hooks etc. all complete as directed by Engineer in charge (wt. of sheet shall not be 6 ounce per sq.ft.).

Providing and fixing Aluminium strip 40mm wide and 2mm thick in IPS/Terrazo flooring.

Cleaning of road berms, islands. divider strips or any other area and fine dressing the surface including cutting of grass/wild growth with spade/scratching the area including collection of fallen leaves/branches of trees/bushes and any other foreign material, and removing of cut grass / loose materials from site of work to dumping yard anywhere in NFL estate in connection with VIP visit.

Supplying and fixing of 40 mm thick rough chisel dressed Red Sand Stone flooring over 20 mm thick base with cement mortar 1 : 5 (1 Cement : 5 Coarse Sand) or Providing and fixing Red Stone Slabs on Top of drains as drain covers by joining the slabs with top of the drain wall with cement mortar 1 : 5 (1 Cement : 5 Coarse Sand) complete. ( Pointing of the joints of Red Sand Stone if required shall be paid separately ).

Chequerred precast cement concrete tiles 22 mm thick in footpath & courtyard, jointed with neat cement slurry mixed with pigment to match the shade of tiles, including rubbing and cleaning etc. complete, on 20 mm thick bed of cement mortar 1:4 (1 cement: 4 coarse sand). i. Light shade pigment using white cement
