Improvement to the road from MRL19 TK to AT Road Via Melnethapakkam road KM 0/000-2/730

Clearing and grubbing Road Land Clearing and grubbing road land including uprooting wild vegetation, bushes, shrubs, saplings and trees of girth upto 300mm, removal of stumps of such trees cut earlier and disposal of unserviceable materials and stacking of serviceable material to be used or auctioned, upto a lead of 1000m including removal and disposal of top organic soil not exceeding 150mm in thickness as per Technical Specification Clause 201

Scarifying the existing bituminous road surface to depth of 50 mm and disposal of scarified material with a lift upto 3 m and lead upto 1000 m as pwr technical specification clause 301.4

Excavation in soil using Hydraulic Excavator and Tippers with disposal upto 1000m. Excavation for roadwork in soil with hydraulic excavator of 0.9 cum bucket capacity including cutting and loading in tippers, trimming bottom and side slopes, in accordance with requirements of lines, grades and cross-sections, and transporting to the embankment location with a lift upto 1.5m and lead upto 1000m as per Technical Specification Clause 302.3.

Construction of embankment with approval Materials deposited at site from road way cutting and excavation from drain and foundation of other structures graded and compacted to meat requirement of tables 300.1 and 300.2 asper technical specification clause 301.5 (Filling with cut Earth )

Construction of embankment and earthen shoulders with approved material obtained from borrow pits with all lifts and leads, transporting to site, spreading, grading to required slope and compacted to meet requirement of Table 300.2 with lead upto 1000m as per Technical Specification Clause 303.1

Construction of embankment with approval Materials deposited at site from road way cutting and excavation from drain and foundation of other structures graded and compacted to meat requirement of tables 300.1 and 300.2 asper technical specification clause 301.5 (Gravel Shoulder)

Providing, laying, spreading and compacting stone aggregates of specific sizes to Water Bound Macadam specification including spreading in uniform thickness, hand packing, rolling with smooth wheel roller 80-100 KN in stages to proper grade and camber, applying and brooming, stone screening/binding materials to fill-up the interstices of coarse aggregate, watering and compacting to the required density Grading 2 as per Technical Specification Clause 405(Grade - II).

Providing, laying, spreading and compacting stone aggregates of specific sizes to Water Bound Macadam specification including spreading in uniform thickness, hand packing, rolling with three wheel 80-100 KN static roller in stages to proper grade and camber, applying and brooming, crushable screening fill-up the interstices of coarse aggregate, watering and compacting to the required density Grading 3 as per Technical Specification Clause 405.(Grading III )

Providing and applying Primer Coat with bitumen emulsion (SS –I) on prepared surface of granular base including cleaning of road surface and spraying primer at the rate of 0.70-0.10kg/ sqm using mechanical means as per Technical Specification Clause 502.

Providing and applying Tack Coat with Bitumen emulsion (RS-1) using emulsion distributor at the rate of 0.25 to 0.30 kg per sqm on the prepared granular surface treated with prime & cleaned with Hydraulic broom as per Technical Specification Clause 503.

Providing, laying and rolling of Open Graded Premix Carpet of 20mm thickness composed of 13.2mm to 5.6mm aggregates either using penetration grade bitumen or emulsion to required line, grade and level to serve as wearing course on a previously prepared base, including mixing in a suitable plant, laying and rolling with a 3 wheel 80-100KN static roller capacity, finished to required level and grades, to be followed by seal coat of Type-A as per Technical Specification Clause 508.

Providing and laying seal coat sealing the voids in a bituminous surface laid to the specified levels, grade and cross fall using Type-A as per Technical Specification Clause 510.

Towards the charges for routline maintenance of the road work executed under PMGSY including dressing of berms by refilling the gully with the earth from borrow pits, cleaning of wild seasonal growth on berms, destilting of side drains and CD works, white washing guard stones, painting of KM, HM stones, parapets, cutting of branches of trees, refixing displaced guard stones, caution boards, speed limit boards etc., with the periodicity for the above activities as prescribed in IRC-SP-20:2002 and as directed by the departmental officers except for the constructional defects which has to be rectified by the contractor at his own cost for carriageway width of 3.00m & 3.75m
