Maintenance of 33kV and 11kV Outdoor switch yard, various capacity of transformers and Electrical Systems at IGCAR, Kalpakkam for the year 2026-27

Half yearly Maintenance on Oil / Dry type Distribution Transformer of capacity 250 KVA -Up to 2.5 MVA (Refer Sec VI (MNC), Clause No.18.2).

Annual Maintenance on Distribution Transformer of capacity 3 MVA to 7 MVA (Refer Sec VI (MNC), Clause No.18.1).

Annual Maintenance on Distribution Transformer of capacity Above 7MVA upto 20MVA (Refer Sec VI (MNC), Clause No.18.3).

Carrying out Breakdown Maintenance /Trouble shooting in 11 kV / 415 V panels and transformers at substation.

Operation of filtration plant for Reconditioning of Transformer oil in Transformers/storage Tank/Drums/BOCBs. (Refer Sec VI (MNC), Clause No.20.1).

Collection of Transformer oil samples and Conducting Break Down Voltage test (Refer Sec VI (MNC), Clause No.20.3).

Collection of Transformer Oil into a 20 Ltr container from drum barrel available at Electrical store room, Carrying to various substations and topping up of oil into the Transformers as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge and as per the detailed Specification

Supply and replacing of Silicagel Beads in Breathers of Transformers/BOCBs/Storage Tanks

Reconditioning of silicagel in Breathers of Transformers/BOCBs/Storage Tanks (Refer Sec VI (MNC), Clause No.20).

Supply and Installation of Flow meter with indicator for 1200 LPH Oil filtration plant as per specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.

Supply and installation of the 8 SWG size of copper wires in built in trench as per the detailed specification.(Refer Sec VI, Clause No.12.8)

Supply and Installation of 40mm /32mm flange type Gate valves for transformer drain line and oil sample line including flange fixing on both sides of valve, making oil sample pipe arrangement and removal of old valves from transformer bottom. Oil to be removed and refilling to be done for fixing of valves as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

Supply and Installation of Standard Aircell with Flange as per drawing for 20 MVA transformer-3, conservator size 2100 mm length x 900 mm dia. Excisting aircell size 2150 mm length x 990 mm dia with loop distance of 1000 mm as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge and as per the detailed Specification

Assisting for Tap changing operations in distribution Transformer including supply of cleaning agent such as Baniyan Waste, etc as per detailed Specification

Assisting for Arresting of Oil leakage in radiators, valves and other parts of transformer and BOCBs including external cleaning as per the scope of work including supply of cleaning agent such as Baniyan Waste, etc as per detailed Specification

Assisting for Calibration and testing of OTI and WTI of distribution Transformer including simulation testing between control circuits of panel and transformer as per detailed Specification

Quarterly functional monitoring of Transformers having various capacity as per scope of work (Ref. Sec-VI (MNC) Clause No: 20.14)

Modification of control wiring in Marshalling Boxes, Transformers and panels

Assisting for carrying out measurement of Insulation Resistance (IR) value on HT equipments/feeders

Temporary connection / disconnection of 415 Volt equipment like Oil Filtration/welding machine etc as per scope of work.

Servicing of 33kV Outdoor P.Ts which includes attending to faults, arresting oil leaks if any, replacement of Gaskets if required, Replacement of Oil etc,and post service testing as per the specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. (Refer Sec VI (MNC), Clause No.13).

Cleaning, painting, wiring tightness check, Post service testing of 33kV Outdoor PTs as per the specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.(Three single phase PTs will be measured as one set.

33kV outdoor VCBs of upto 1250A / BOCBs of upto 2000A

Maintenance of 33kV Outdoor Isolators, Including cleaning, Lubricating, Supporting Insulators healthiness checking and other related works as per the specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

Maintenance of Outdoor 33kV Bus Section including supply of cleaning agent like CRC,baniyan waste etc.,

Quarterly maintenance and routine functional test of Mulsifire system in transformer (Ref Sec VI (MNC), Clause No: 20.13).

Civil work Manufacturing, supplying, hoisting and fixing in position at all lifts, precast units of various patterns and sizes for precast plain solid units, slabs, exhaust fan moulds etc., in reinforced cement concrete of 1:1.5:3, using 20mm and below machine crushed graded stone aggregate and crushed stone sand including weigh batching, mechanical mixing, casting, vibrating, finishing of exposed faces, curing, necessary formwork & moulds, transporting and placing at all lifts, preparation of connections, grouting with cement mortar/cement grout wherever needed excluding steel reinforcement complete all as per drawing, specification and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Painting of 33kV Bus bars (R,Y,B) with synthetic enamel paint 60 Sq.m surface area of tubular bus section at an elevation of 5mtr to 7mtr height at 33kV CSS Outdoor switch yard,includes Shifting, assembling and dismantling of aluminium scafolding tower ladder materials and supply of Paints, cleaning agent like CRC,baniyan waste etc.,Scaffolding materials required for the work will be issued free of cost by the department as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.(Refer Sec VI (MNC), Clause No.3).

Painting of 33 kV outdoor circuit breaker with synthetic enamel paint at an elevation of 1 mtr to 6 mtrs inside 33 kV CSS (Refer Sec VI (MNC), Clause No.3).

Painting of Distribution Equipments with ONE Coat of Primer, TWO Coat of Synthetic Enamel Paint including supply of paint & primer and required consumables .(Refer Sec VI (MNC), Clause No.3).

Painting of 11 kV/415 V Bus ducts with synthetic enamel paint (Aircraft grey) at an elevation of 5mtr to 7mtr height at various substations (Refer Sec VI (MNC), Clause No.3).

Painting of Transformer capacity upto 3 MVA including supply of required paints and other consumables

Shifting of Electrical equipment of various sizes including loading and unloading/Shifting of electrical/telephone items from IGCAR and hand over to service centre (upto Chennai limit) or vice versa.(Refer Sec VI (MNC), Clause No.31).

Clearing light jungle area, bulb weeds, grass including removal all unwanted plants, branches, twigs, wild growth etc.complete, and disposing the same 100 meters away manually or burning them without disturbing other areas etc., complete all as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. Contractor must inform the Engineer-in-charge and prior permission shall be obtained from him for burning the wild growth. (Refer Sec VI (MNC), Clause No.7.3).

Clearing Heavy jungle area including removal all unwanted plants, branches, twigs, wild growth, trees and saplings of girth upto 30cm, uprooting of rank vegetation etc. complete, and disposing the same 100metres away by manually or burning them without disturbing other areas etc., complete all as directed by the EIC. The useful firewood if any, shall be cut and stacked at a place (with 100metres lead) as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. Providing, straightening, decoiling wherever necessary bending, cutting, binding and fixing in position steel reinforcement at all levels TMT bars of Fe500D grade steel conforming to IS:1786 'SAIL or VIZAG or approved equivalent make' and tying with approved annealed binding wire of 1.6mm dia in all reinforced cement concrete work at all lifts, including cost of supplying and fixing the spacer/cover blocks in cement mortar 1:2 and binding wire complete all as per specification and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge at all lifts. Painting of Equipments Supply and painting One coat on metallic surfaces of electrical equipment and other required surface at all levels with primer & paint (Asian or approved brand, colour and manufacturer) to give an even shade including preparation of the surfaces,providing scaffolding as per the requirements /specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.
