Preparing old existing surfaces of wooden furniture of any description by scraping with machine and sand paper, removing the stains and filling holes, cracks by putting bees wax and chalk powder etc., and applying polish one or more coats to the exposed surface (shade as approved by GE/Engr-in-Charge.). REPAIRS TO SOFA SET 5 SEATER / 4 SEATER: FD-281

Replacement of existing tapestry and cushions of sofa set by replacing old u/s cushion with 40 density U-foam cushion of size as per drg) including providing long cloth lining for cushion, covered with new tapestry cloth of first quality (as per sample available at BSO yard) of approved shade duly stiched in shape and provided with good quality nylon zip on one side for sofa set 5 seater for Set of 10 cushions. (FD-281/ FD-373/ FD-258)

Taking out old unservicable front or rear legs and S&F new legs made out of 1st class teak wood all as shown on drg.

Taking out old unservicable broken battens of seat and back and S&Fnew battens made out of 1st class teak wood all as shown in drg.

Taking out old unserviceable arms and S &F new arms made out of 1st teak wood all as shown on drawing.

Taking out old unservicable side rails and providing new rails made out of 1st class teak wood all as shown on drg.

Taking out old unservicable long rail (front or rear) of sofa chair 3 seater and S&F new long rail made out of 1st class teak wood all as shown on drg.

REPAIRS TO CHAIR VERANDAH: FD-359 Note for item Nos 4.01 & 4.02 :- (i) Old damaged canning shall be removed before painting. (ii) Colours of cane and paint shall be as approved by GE.

Taking down old existing unserviceable cane from chair verandah and M&L for reweaving the same with new 4mm wide plastic cane oval type best quality, in seat and back, including provision of rubber shoes to the legs, complete all as shown on drawing and as directed by Engr-In-Charge.

Material and Labour for preparation of existing painted surfaces of steel frame of chair verandah by hand scrapping, cleaning of the surfaces and applying two coats of synthetic enamel paint complete all as directed.

Material and Labour for welding before painting as required broken portion of Chair. In repairs exc 2.5 but not exc 5cm length and thickness of metal to be welded not exc 6mm.
