PHASE- I:-
SOIL INVESTIGATION : Soil investigation at the proposed construction site at location of sewage treatment plant by drilling 100mm dia bore hole up to a depth of 15m below the ground level or 1m in to the hard rock strata(whichever is earlier)in any type of strata complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.
Note for item No. 2 above : Note: (a)Mobilization of tools, plants, equipments and manpower required for carrying out soil investigation, setting of boring/drilling as required and later demobilization of plants and equipments after completion of work. (b)Collecting undisturbed and disturbed samples and performing SPT test at 1.5m, 2.0m, 3.0m, 4.5m, 6.0m, 7.5m and 9.0m levels (c ) Conveyance of sample collected at site to the testing lab as required for the purpose of testing and analysis. (d)Lab testing including triaxial test, direct shear test, liquid limit, plastic limit, plasticity index, grain size, specific gravity, ground water table, soil classification, bore logs and bore hole chart, permissible settlement,unconsolidated test on undisturbed sample, crushing strength of hard rock samples recovered, unconsolidated triaxial shear test etc. (e)Estimation of SBC of soil. (f)Submitting photographic record during the process and submission of detailed test reports in triplicate with detailed recommendations. (g) Soil investigation shall be caried out by authorised consultants/NABL acredated labs, before the commencement of the work and the test report shall be submitted to GE in triplicate duly vetted by NIT/IIT/any of the Govt engineering colleges /NABL acredated labs along with re confirmation about the safety of foundation details specified in the tender. Decision of GE shall be final and binding. (h) Before the commencement of soil investigation work the contractor shall submit in writing to GE, details of consultant/Lab through which soil investigation proposed to be conducted.
Construction of Sewage collection Sump of internal capacity size 2.00x2.00x2.20 m with pump house of 2.0x2.00x2.40 m size of permanet specification RCC foundation, wall, slab, solid block masonry, Aluminum doors, PCC flooring, plastering and finishes etc complete all as specifed and as directed up to the satisfaction of Engineer-in-Charge including preparation of Detailed Engineering for development of Architectural, Construction and Structural Drawings etc, structure analysis & design Planning, designing & execution of services i.e Topography survey, Site clearance and Site Development, internal water supply , Internal electrification work and other B/R and E/M services complete.

Notes for item Nos. 4 & 5 above :- (i) The quoted rate includes preparation of detailed and conceptual plan/architectural/structural design and drawings of sewage collection sump and pump house and vetting through IIT/NIT/Govt Engg College and obtaining prior approval from Accepting Officer before execution. (ii) Any other work/ services/utility, which is not included above but essential for the completion of the project,the same shall be deemed to be included in this item Lump sum price worked out by the Contractor. Obtaining all statutory clearances and certifications are included in the scope of work.
Surface dressing n exe 15 cm deep in hard/dense soil complete all as specified and directed.
Excavating in trenches not exceeding 1.50 m wide and not exceeding 1.5 m depth for foundation etc or for shafts, wells, cesspits,manholes, pier holes, etc., n.exc 10 sqm on plan and getting out in soft/loose soil complete all as specified and directed.
Returning filling in, including spreading, levelling, watering and well ramming in layers of 25mm thick in soft/ loose soil complete all as specified.
Removing excavated material (Soil) to a distance n exc. 50 m and depositing where directed at a level n exc. 1.5 m above starting point complete all as specified and directed.
Removing excavated material (Soil) to a distance exc. 250 m but not exc 500 m and depositing where directed at a level n exc. 1.5 m above starting point complete all as specified and directed.
Soling (or sub base) 100 mm thick with broken boulders or quarried stone, inter stices filled, surface formed and rolled and consolidated to required gradient and camber complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.
Material and Labour for Sand cushioing 30mm thick consolidated thickness under paver block including levelling and consolidation with watering complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.
Material and Labour for 60mm thick, M-35 grade, Factory made, Machine pressed pre cast interlocking paver block with grey cement and no pigment any shape and size confirming to IS 15658- 2006 complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.
Material and Labour for pre cast cement concrete 1:2:4 type B1 using 20mm graded stone aggregate as in copings,benching,road kerbs etc, with plain fair face including chamfers weatherings, throating etc and use of formwork as necessary (straight or curved) complete all as specified by Engineerr-in-Charge.
Material and labour for PCC 1:3:6 type C2 using 40mm graded stone aggregate as in foundation filling and mass concrete complete all as specified and as directed.
Material and labour for PCC 1:4:8 type D2 using 40mm graded stone aggregate concrete bed to 150 mm bore dia of drain pipes including packing under, and haunching against the sides of the pipes after they are laid and tested complete all as specified and as directed.
Material and Labour for Pre cast cement concrete block masonry (Type C1, 1:3:6 using 20 mm graded aggregate) with solid blocks, exc 10 cm in width and setting in CM 1:4 complete all as specified and directed.
Material and Labour for rendering 15mm thick on internal fair faces of brick or concrete surfaces in cement mortar (1:3) including finishing the surface even and smooth with out using extra cement, with using water proofing compound complete all as specifed and directed.
Material and Labour for rendering 15mm thick on fair face of brick or concrete surfaces in cement mortar (1:4) with using water proofing compound complete all as specifed and directed.
M&L for TMT bars 10mm dia and over cut to length, bent to shape required including cranking, bending hooking ends, and binding spirally for hooping column, hooking ends and binding with and including mild steel wire not less than 0.9 mm dia complete all as specified and as directed.
Extra for forming fair finished drain or channel 30cm inner grith in cement concrete, using extra cement, including forms, moulds, mitred/stop ends etc complete all as specified and as directed.
M&L for precast reinforced cement concrete (1:2:4) type B1 using 20mm graded stone aggregate as in cover slab for man holes/drainage/septic tank/Soak well cover, set in cement mortar 1:4 incl necessary formwork complete all as specified and as directed. Note: Reinforcement shall be measured and paid seperately.
Supply and Fix nominal size 150 mm dia DWC PE (SN8) pipe, laid and jointed complete with collars, etc complete all as specified and as directed.
Supply only Integral waterproofing compound complete all as specified and as directed.
Cutting into existing manholes for connecting new drains, making good to pipe and rendering, cutting out existing benching for and forming branch channel (1/2 round or 3/4section) in cement concrete 1:2:4 type B-1 smooth finished, and reforming benching as required for 150mm internal dia pipe complete all as specified and as directed.

Supply and fix of 10 mm dia mild steel round bar (ISRO 10) for fencing including necessary cutting, bending etc. conforming to Fe 410-W (Gde-E250) quality complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer in Charge.

Supply and fix danger notice plate of 1.6mm thick mild steel sheet, vitreous enamelled white, with letters, figures and conventional skull and bones in signal red colour and fixed with M.S. clamps, bolts and nuts of approved size, for LT, 20x15cm size complete and all as specified and directed.
Supply and fix cable path indicator for LT cable made out of cast iron plate of 100mm dia, 6 mm thick engraved with 'LT 1100 Volts' welded to MS angle 50mmx50mmx6mm, 75 cm long embedded in PCC block 1:3:6, type C2 of size 300mmx300mmx300mm including painting with two coats of blue colour synthetic enamel paint over one coat of red oxide primer and necessary earth work complete and all as specified and directed.

Sewage Treatment Plant :- Design,supply, construction, installation,testing & commissioning of Sewage Treatment Plant based on principle of aerobic attached growth non clogging randomly Moving Bed Bio-reactor (MBBR) having capacity 25 KLD to get output quality of treated water to use for the purpose of Arboriculture,toilet flushing and fire fighting, including required foundations and the following as per the specifications given in particular specification to meet the following norms. The inlet parameter of raw sewage is given in PS Clause are guidelines. But actual sample to be tested from authorised lab approved by Govt before designing the plant. Similarly Outlet parameters required for arboriculture and toilet flushing of treated sewage are given under PS Clause. .Apart from the above, local pollution control authoritie's parameters have to be considered for the output quality of effluent. Rate quoted for this item is demed to be included for the above provision.The scope of the work includes all civil, mechanical & electrical work as per relevant BIS for the entire completion of STP as specified. The scope of work & major items are as listed below:- (a) One No. Fine bar screen of MSEP construction as per given minimum specifications, to be installed in Fine Bar screen chambers at an angle of 60° to prevent floating objects passing through it and subsequently removing manually and dumped hygenically for further disposal as directed complete. (b) One lot of air grid for equalization tank for providing aeration in the tank. (c ) Two nos of raw sewage pumps with starter, air blowers with all fittings for providing air in equilization tank MBBR reactors and sludge holding tank. (d) One anoxic chamber in MSFRP construction with mixer. (e) One number treated water tank in MSFRP construction and one No sludge collection tank with necessary PLC control panels, pumps, starters, tank etc along with all necessary items which are not covered under this items, but required for satisfactory completion of job are deemed to be included in rate quoted by the contractor. (f) The net results of treated sewage after tertiary treatment at ND Minicoy shall be as given below:- Ph=6.5-8.3, Total suspended solids < 10 mg/l, BOD at 20 C for 5 days < 10 mg/l, COD < 50 mg/l, Oil & Grease < 10 mg/l, E.coli=absent, Total Nitrogen : 10 mg/l, Total Phosphorous : 1 mg/l, faecal coliform : Nil, Odour : No foul odour.
Notes for item Nos. 54 :- (i) The quoted rate includes preparation of detailed and conceptual plan/architectural/structural design and drawings of complete STP plant incl schematic E/M diagram and line plan etc. and vetting through IIT/NIT/Govt Engg College and obtaining prior approval from Accepting Officer before execution. (ii) Any other work/ services/utility, which is not included above but essential for the completion of the project,the same shall be deemed to be included in this item Lump sum price worked out by the Contractor. Obtaining all statutory clearances and certifications are included in the scope of work.
PHASE- II : Manning and Operation of STP during the defect liability period of 24 months:-
Provision of outsourcing services for the first year during defect liability period for sewage treatment plant of capacity 25 kLD through OEM in two shift per day including for 03 Nos of non clog vertical submersible pumpsets ( sewage raw water pumps) of capacity 1.0 HP and PLC control panel for operation of STP process and pumping the treated water arboriculturing, flushing and fire fighting static water tank etc each along with its connected control valves and Electric starters etc through trained operator / FGM including cleaning and daily maintanace of the plant including supply of consumables (except electricity and water) (for the first year from actual date of completion) complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.
All as per Sl item No 57 here in before, but for the second year from actual date of completion (ie, second year during defect liability period) complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.
Notes for item Nos. 57 and 58 :- (i) Deploying of technically qualified person,i.e one highly skilled operator / FGM per shift of 08 hours duration for two shift in a day including sundays and Govt holidays and having experiance not less than 2 yrs in the same field. (ii) The detailes of operation comprise of chemical dosing , periodically checking and maintance of STP plants , equipments and log book . The contractor shall strictly follow the operation and maintenance manual of the plants as well as dosage of chemical prescribe by OEM. (iii) Periodical checking of plant, pipe line and joint for any leackage (iv) Daily, periodical maintanace , chemical dosing all as recommended by plant OEM (v) Samples of effluent shall be collected from the outlet twice in a month as directed and got tested in a lab approved by Lakhadweep Pollution Control Board/Authority concern. (vi) Periodical leaning and removal of ludge from screen well, collection well, contact aeration tank, sludge aeration tank, setting tank, sludge drying beds, bar screen, screen through etc. (vii) Mixing chemical to maintain desired quality of end product of system. (viii) To maintain all working place and area neat and hygenically clean. (ix) The log sheet must be maintained by the contractor as directed by the Engr-in-Charge.
PHASE- III : Comprehensive maintenance and operation of STP after defect liability period:-
Provision of comprehensive maintenance of sewage treatment plant of capacity 25 KLD including all supporting equipments such as pumps, motors, panel, etc for the third year from actual date of completion (ie, first year after defect liability period) complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.
All as per Sl item No 61 here in before, but for the fourth year from actual date of completion (ie, second year after defect liability period) complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.
Notes for item Nos. 61 and 62 :- (i) Comprehensive maintenance of STP includes general checking of all the parts of STP such as filter feed pumps, Multi grade filter (MGF) , Activated corbonated filter (ACF), Membrance feed pump, electrical control panel etc. on monthly basis (ii) Unserviceable spare should be replaced with new spares of same specifications, make and cost deemed to be included in the rate quoted by the contractor (iii) Testing/ Calibration/ Comprehensive maintanance of STP should be done by the OEM Only (iv) Test certificate must signed by the contractor, OEM amd MES Rep before claiming the RARs.
