Removing of old filter media from filter bed using skilled labour at Kalyaneswari WTP site and unloading and disposing the same outsied WTP site within 10 km. After completion of the Work , the site should be properly clean and any damages done during this works by the contractor to be repair in his own cost. All other necessary support should be arranged by the Contractor also. The rate is inclusive of all charges, labour and materials, tools and tackles, contractors profit but excluding of GST and cess required to complete the work in all respect.
Supply of filter media at Kalyaneswari WTP site and placing the same in the each existing filter bed after proper segregation by manually in layers at filter bed as per site condition not exceeding 150 mm, spreading, levelling upto the required depth etc. The filter media shall be quartz sand of effective size of 0.55 mm to 0.70 mm with a uniformity coefficient not exceeding 1.50. The sand shall be granular, hard and screened through appropriate meshes and shall be thoroughly washed to the satisfaction f the Engineer in Charge prior to the loading in filters. The sand shall be free clay, dust and other impurities and shall not contain more than 1% of micaceous matter. The sand immersed in 40% hydrochlorite acid for 24 hours shall not be more than 5% by weight. It shall not contain more than 1.5% of calcium and magnesium calculated as CaCO3 and not more than 2% weight shall be lost after. Filter media shall conform to IS:8419(Part 11)1977. After completion of the works, the site should be properly clean and any damages done during this work by the contractor to the repair in his own cost. All other necessary support should be aranged by the contractor also. The rate is inclusive of all xharges, labour and materials, tools and tackles, contractor profit but excluding GST and cess required to complete the work in all respect.
