PAINTING ON MAIN RUNWAY, PTT, MTT AND CERTAIN OTHER AIRCRAFT MOVEMENT AREA AT AF STN KALAIKUNDA UNDER GE (AF) KALAIKUNDA

M&L for preparation (The surface shall be scrapped with steel wire brushes or steel scrapers. The surface shall then be broomed to remove all dust and dirt and shall be washed with clean water) of surfaces to receive painting and applying one coat water based road marking paint (boldly and solidly) as in Painting lines,dashes,arrows letters etc., on roads, pavement and the like, not exceeding 10 cm width (white, black or Golden yellow and orange colour) complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for applying one coat of synthetic enamel paint on brick , concrete or plaster surface including preparation (old paint shall be removed with hand scrapping, wire brushes of old decorated surfaces) complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for preparation of old painted surfaces (The surface shall be scrapped with steel wire brushes or steel scrapers. The surface shall then be broomed to remove all dust and dirt and shall be washed with clean water) of surface to receiving paint for two coat of Exterior Acrylic Emulsion Weather Coat Paint over concrete/flexible suraces including preparation of old decorated surfaces complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for Preparation of old painted surfaces (The surface shall be scrapped with steel wire brushes or steel scrapers. The surface shall then be broomed to remove all dust and dirt and shall be washed with clean water) to receive painting and applying one coat of water based road marking paint (boldly and solidly without showing signs of brush marks) as in Painting lines,dashes,arrows letters etc ., on roads , pavement and the like surfaces, exceeding 10 Cm width ,with white, black , Golden yellow and orange colour as reqired at site complete all as specified and as directed. The frequency of painting is as under:-, However the painting on operating surfaces will be carried out as per user requirements. (a) Runway Centre line : 1150 Sqm x 6 times (once in one and half month) = 6900 Sq.m (Approx) (b) Runway Threshold and designation: 1300 Sqm x 3 times ( once in 3 month) = 3900 Sq.m (Approx) (c) Runway Touch down zone: 1500 Sqm x 2 times ( once in 4 month) = 3000 Sq.m (Approx) (d) Runway Aiming point : 1550 Sqm x 1 times ( Once in 6 month) = 1550 Sq.m (Approx) (e) Runway Side strip marking: 5000 Sqm x 1 times (Once in 6 month) = 5000 Sq.m (Approx) (f) PTT center line marking: 850 Sqm x 2 times (Once in 4 month) = 1700 Sq.m (Approx) (g) Bay Markings (X,Y,VIP, ATC & PG ) : 1400 Sqm x 4 times (Once in 2 month) = 5600 Sq.m (Approx) Total Painting Qty = 27650 Sqm (Approx)

General Notes applicable for Srl item No. 1 to 4 here-in-before:- (i) Contractor must ensure a stock of 25% of total quantity as catered in CA or 25% of balance quantity of the item as catered in CA (during currency of contract) at the MES provided store. If the contractor not provided said above recovery shall be made as per terms and condition of the contract as specified in particular specifications. However, no 'Advance on account' again this provision as material laying at site shall be admissible. (ii) The frequency of work will be done as per user/site requirement, or as directed by Engr-in-Charge. (iii) Work will be carried out on flying/non flying days as per requirement and nothing extra will be paid to the contractor due to any loss of working hours . Hence contactor have to quoate accordingly. (iii) Contractor have to provide barricading on working site as per direction of Engr-in-Charge. (iv) Being operational nature of work, it is imperative for the contractor to address the work within 24 hours after placing order by the Engr-in-Charge on site order book or through any other digital mode as and when required basis. No claim like shortage of materials and shortage of labours whatsoever will be admissible and a recovery of Rs 2000/- per day per site for non addressing will be affected from the payment due to the contractor after 24 hours of the instructions passed by Engr-in-Charge in site order book or through any other digital modes.
